Poppy Flanagan Only moments after the siren went off Poppy was bolt upright in bed. She'd always been awakened gently by a servant, this was something foreign to her. Her eyes were wide and her heart pounding. The harsh volume prompted her to cover her ears. It didn't take long to figure out what it was for, by the time it was over she had managed to calm down. They could have turned it off sooner. She felt some crusties in her eyes so she unclasped her ears to flick them away. As she did so she was alerted to Theresa's presence. She was already dressed, thankfully. Now that there wouldn't be contestation for the bathroom Poppy felt more comfortable with this arrangement. It was short lived as she realized she must look disheveled. When she reached up to run her fingers through her mop she was met with fierce resistance. Great. And I only have two hours... Yet another thing she rarely had do herself. With a lack of practice and such a daunting task she'd be lucky to be done in an hour. That didn't leave her very much time for everything else she had to do. "Good morning Theresa." Poppy yawned and slid out of bed. As per usual she wore a white nightgown to bed. "Thanks for the pointers." After hearing what she had to say about how easy it was to get ready she wasn't so sure about what she was about to ask. "Um, yeah... about that." She shuffled her feet and looked towards the ground. I can't believe I'm doing this... It wasn't like she could ask anyone else though. "Would you mind helping with my hair before we go?..." Poppy quickly added "if not it's fine. I'll have to figure out how to get ready in timely manner sooner or later." (you could still have them head to breakfast during your post, doesn't need to be a long scene if any at all) Vespera Spindel On the opposite side of the room from Shannon the bed remain unoccupied. Instead Vespera made almost a hammock of webs suspended over the blankets bellow. Her spider side didn't like being smothered by fabric, there was also the fact that she sometimes to transformed in her dormancy. Back during her first year she ruined a few besets and tore up her mattress with the sharp parts of her exoskeleton. One eye opened and glanced over at the clock. It read 5:58 AM, about the same time she stirred from her quiescence every morning. After following about the same routine for over twelve years her it was hardwired into her body clock. Soundlessly Vespera creeped from her nest and slipped into one of her many and very similar outfits. There actually was a reason that she wore form fitting clothing, aside from aesthetics. Her body didn't grow very much when she transformed allowing her to keep her outfit intact. The main problem was her limbs. One solved by including barely visible slits on the sides of her tops. While she could per say do the same thing with a t-shirt, the slack of the fabric made it difficult to navigated them through the cutouts as they were growing. Cotton isn't the strongest material so she usually ended up making a new set of openings despite her best efforts. Not to mention that the they would be ever present. Of course a jumpsuit would work functionally as well as a corset, it just wasn't her style, or anyone's for that matter. All it took was a minute, then she was back in her improvised cot. This time she grabbed her knitting needles and yarn. Laying back comfortably she started on the first row. What she was making was yet to be determined, but she'd figure it out soon enough. She always did. Hmmm, If I knit loverboy a ridiculous sweater I wonder if he'd wear it. Oh wait, I'm forgetting something. For a moment there she wasn't thinking about his missing arm. It would look even sillier with a limp sleeve, but it wouldn't be very prudent gift. The best ideas were for cold weather articles, something that scarcely happened in the tropics. Guess I'll make another shawl then. It was one of her more common projects as it was of the few things she could make that she liked to wear. Another were the half veils she was so fond of. At five till Vespera vacated the room, she couldn't stand the wake up call. The decibel count considered adequate to wake hardest sleeping students was borderline ear shattering to her sensitive hearing. First thing was first, she needed some sustenance. Rather than following the stairwell down Vespera placed one hand, then the other on the wall. Shortly thereafter she began to scale the side of the dorms with ease. Once on the roof she created a zipline to the closest part of the surround jungle saving her some time. A leap and a bite later she had breakfast. Looked like today she was having anteater. Once that was out of the way she entered the cafeteria and looked for a good place to sit.
