If you didn't notice, I kicked out Germany first, then cleared the chatroom of the argument between you two. You can come back to the chat immediately after being kicked.

I don't want to bring it over to this place, but you were the ones who escalated the argument. Is it really bad that, for once, someone is standing up to you two? All this time, you're fooling people into bullshit alliances, giving up their navies, ect, but the one time someone stands up to it, it's too much to handle? How about you acknowledge that everyone agrees with what I was pointing out (maybe not to the T, but generally), and strive to make changes for the sake of the RP? Instead, you silence all complaints and go about fucking up the balance of the RP. No one benefits from the way things are right now, but you.

What were you pointing out? All that I detected from the argument between you and Boerd was that you wanted Germany to be weaker.

The roleplay is more balanced right now than it ever has been.

I don't want Germany to be weaker. I don't even care about the lands Germany took. I jokingly bitch about it every now and then, but I couldn't care any less about in the end. I'd just like to see an RP where everyone has options, and isn't dominated by Germany and Netherlands. It's not just that, but the way you went about accomplishing it. You lied, tricked, and otherwise bullshitted your ways to where you are now. The war of the Eighth wasn't won on the ground, in IC. It was won outside, in OOC, when Boerd tricked Sol into thinking he was better off surrendering. That single act won the war for you, and triggered a domino effect of buddy-buddy that propelled you two to the top.

I didn't lie to or trick anyone. If you object to some specific action that Boerd took, then do so: state an objection to that action. Don't try to make some grand comment about the roleplay as a whole, especially when it's completely non-applicable to your point, and especially when in doing so, you villainize me.

I'm referring mostly to Boerd. I may have unintentionally pulled you into that because you're so strongly against criticism of Boerd and Germany that I can't help but assume you're in on it.

I assumed that your revilement of Boerd was based on Germany having assumed a powerful position in the roleplay, rather than based on the manner in which that position was acquired (which you've now stated that you consider illegitimate). You never specified why you were angry at Boerd.

If it had been about that, I'd have to have come into the RP knowing I'd get pissed at some point, since Germany's unification is inevitable under almost any scenario. My problem isn't that Germany is powerful, it's how it became so. Tricking France to surrender in OOC, convincing people to sell their whole navies, somehow. All of it done in OOC. And on top of that, as if it's not bad enough, he practically plays as Russia too. To say Thor plays Russia is honestly disingenuous.

Your anger should be directed at the people making deals vastly in Germany's favour, then. Sola and Pasta are who you should be upset at. Why would Germany turn down an offer that is in its favour?

Russia needs to be addressed, imo. What Pepper says about Russia is basically true.

I have been upset at Sol (and Pasta). You can ask him. Earlier today, I complained about it to the point where he got sick of me and left the chat. If you are noticing him taking a tougher stance now, it's because I convinced him to. Bare in mind though: I'm not convincing him to side with me or anything like that, I am only telling him that, as France, he should be tougher. And he agreed. He agreed he had been way too nice to Germany.

I am directing my "anger" towards Boerd now because 1) I've already spoken with everyone else and 2) Boerd is the root of the problem. We all know Sol is too nice for his own good. So please, stop taking advantage of that. The whole thing with Germany and the rest of you getting free access to the canal is an example of that. There is literally no reason for him to grant you all free access. He did it because he's that nice of a person. But now that he's taking a tougher stance and denying you that, you start demanding shit from him like you have any right over the canal. It's stupid.

You know Sol's nice. He'll help people out. It's up to you to know when you're taking advantage of that to benefit yourself. I mean fuck, have the decency to say "you know what, nah. that's not right." and stop yourself from using him the way you have.

Note: I say 'you' but I mean those who have done it. You should know if you have.

The biggest problem is the alliances. You guys claim that Germany is a counterbalance for the UR, but that is meaningless if the UR is buddy buddy with Germany. Right now, France and Russia are both military allies (and the UR probably would follow France). If war happens involving any one of those nations, it is already a pile up (which was a criticism of the ToC). While the ToC might have been struck dead, the deadlock that it was causing still exists.
