Just an idea* - perhaps include a nameless, descriptionless NPC or two that boards the ship in case someone who joined earlier suddenly reappears, still interested in being a part of the RP? One of us current RPer's could always claim one of them later on, should we want a human character. Nice to have a spare human or two around to use, right?
