[b]Personality:[/b]
Sylvan, if anything, is an extremely impulsive person (although even that's somewhat of an understatement). It's not really that he [i]can't[/i] think ahead, it's just that the excitement of the moment spurs him on. Really, he lives in the present, and just can't bother with stopping and thinking about the past or the future. Sylvan also appears to be rather apathetic towards others, but in tight situations, he nearly always tries to play the role of the hero. This never really turns out well (as he's basically charging into danger), but the attempted heroism is, like everything else he does, more of an impulsive thing than anything else.

Efficiency seems to matter quite a lot to him, as well, since he tends to try and get things done as quickly as possible. If you're working with Sylvan and start slacking off, he'll be onto you in an instant. While he [i]thinks[/i] he's great at group work, he really annoys his group with his tendency to tell others what to do. "Stuck up" and "braggart" would be another thing he's considered as (really, though, his actions are mostly motivated by his need for attention). Sylvan's fairly awful at reading others' emotions, and frequently (although unintentionally) upsets others all the time. He's also quite emotionally unstable, as his emotions will quickly flicker from one to the next in a matter of seconds.

He's also quite a bookworm, and, if he spots you with a book, he'll nag you incessantly until you hand it over. If there's a library of any sort around, he'll most definitely be there. Sylvan's also seems to enjoy taking others' ideas apart (although this applies to himself, as well, as he's constantly berating himself). Curiosity would be another one of his negative traits - this gets him into trouble much too often for his own good.

At the age of seventeen, Sylvan's accomplished little with his life.

[b]Skills:[/b]
- Sylvan has an almost photographic memory, as he's able to remember things he's seen in vivid detail. However, the longest he's been able to retain a memory like this is for only an hour or two.
- He also has a knack for sneaking around undetected.
- Being a black mage, Sylvan has the ability to spread disease. This only works as long as he's in contact with a person, though (so he can't spread it to more than three people at a time). Even then, it drains nearly all his energy and causes him to lose consciousness for a few hours. The "disease" is never really that serious, either, as it usually just causes . The worst he could inflict would be something similar to the black death, but the strain would literally kill him. 
He's only used black magic once before, and that didn't end well. He denies even having the ability at all, and refuses to use it unless he's in extreme danger.

None at the moment.

[b]Equipment:[/b]
- A pack of cigarettes, usually precariously sticking out of his pocket.
- A small dagger hidden up a sheath his sleeve. Sylvan does carry his rapier occasionally, but only if he feels the need to defend himself. (Otherwise, he leaves it in his room.) When he brings it with him, he carries it in a sheath on his belt.

If the situation calls for it, Sylvan would probably be the prime candidate for infiltration, being able to sneak around unnoticed as well as remember things in detail to report back to the rest of the crew.
