If it matter, being royalty also likely won't provide you any additional advantage when going to Beacon; you could be the king of a country, if you're fighting skills suck, no one is going to give you the time of day at Beacon. At best you can buy some of the higher-tier things, but Beacon feels more like it's a skill based school rather than equipment based. I mean, Ren managed to kill the huge cobra Grimm with his barehands, I think weapons are just used for convenience rather than necessity.
