Imperial Flagship "Ah, Robert is it?" Said Fergus, his face showing into a twisted, maniacal smile. "My brother. You tried to fight me, and I killed you. I can do that again. You wanted peace among the stars, humans and aliens equal, but you were a heretic!" Fergus stabbed Robert in the arm, the ripping of flesh and muscle could be heard as Robert screamed, dropping his pistol to the ground. Fairlan's eyes glowed purple, and Fergus reached for his neck as he was lifted up off the floor. "Fergus, you and I are one and the same." Said Fairlan "You were never human!" "You speak as though I did not know..." Gasped Fergus "I was meant to save Earth from the tyranny of evil, I tried and tried to find a peaceful solution, but there was none! Life is the root of evil, and we must destroy that root! You should know that!" "You fool! Your true species has wished the ability to kill you for thousands of years! Now, we finally have the chance! You are the wayward son, the one who murdered the savior for the most savage of reasons!" The grip on his neck tightened as Fergus looked over at Emily, with genuine regret on his face. Fairlan screamed at him then, as loud as he possibly could. "YOU DOOMED A PEOPLE! ENSLAVED UNCOUNTABLE MASSES! NOW, YOU PAY YOUR PRICE!" Fergus' neck cracked, and his body fell to the floor, dead. Emily emptied the magazine of her pistol into him, just to make sure. Fairlan's eyes continued to glow purple, as he psychically keyed in a series of commands for the ship's computer. "There we go. The security footage is being transmitted across the Empire, a rebellion will undoubtedly be incited. The threat is gone." Said Fairlan in a clinical voice, not showing that he was still trying to get his mind around what had just happened. Nikolien System The memories flashed through Keloush's head, the giant blue circle, the impact, they all flew by him with incredibly speed. For a moment, he thought his life was flashing before him, but he quickly dismissed that possibility. After all, it seemed to only be recent memories. Or were they ancient? Had he lost his memory? Had he been in a coma? He had no idea, and all he could do was let the memories sweep over him. He called out to his crew "Evasive maneuvers!' he yelled, as if in a dream. The ship shook with extreme force, and his head smashed into the floor after he rebounded off the ceiling. Hilariously, the last thought before he blacked out was "We need to remove that command tower". More images, a giant blue circle opening in the center to allow multiple starships inside of rainbow-colored bubbles to exit. The railgun bolts that hit the Yamadai. Suddenly, the memories began to fade away, and he could see nothing but black. "Don't let me die!" He yelled in fear. To his surprise a response came. "I won't, captain!". It was a feminine voice, but it had a distinct accent to it. Close to human, but not quite. Not Abh or Boskop, and certainly not Ethra'Hirel. The black faded, giving way to a bright light. It was the most stereotypical thing, but Keloush didn't register that. Color began to return, mostly blue. "Captain? Captain!" Now he could see where the voice was coming from. It was the Loroi pilot, Keloush didn't know her name yet. "Wh-what happened?" Gasped Keloush, noticing that his throat was filled with dust.\ "We were hit by a railgun bolt, sent us spinning and took out our antiproton flow tubes. Weapons are down except for the shield breakers. The enemy demands that we surrender our antimatter and negative energy stores to them." "Affilitation?" "Unidentified." "Alright then, Miss...?" "Call me Melda, Captain." "Get to the fighter bay, Melda. Your squadron was created for this. Now remember, you have limited ammo without any ammunition lines. You'll only get a few shots off." "Oh, I know, Captain." She said, displaying the devilish smile that was so strangely common. She walked off of the bridge, yelling into the communications armband. "All pilots, scramble! We are attacking a fleet of five warships, at least one has been confirmed to be a scout carrier! I repeat, all fighters, scramble!"
