Stephen Avarian Stephen was leaning on a wall in the back observing everyone's heat signatures. The problem was being able to identify people. Some people it was easier because of shape and size. Others were too generic to be able to tell, or there were just more than one with the same odd build. In any case Stephen had already changed into his suit, he just wanted this over with. If they weren't beating the shit out of each other this would just bore him. Yeah it would be nice to get to know how others work, but honestly his power didn't really play well with others, that was a fact. His armor though had been customized like most of the other returning students. His was a short sleeved suit and he wore fingerless gloves. All of his clothing was lined with tiny metal plates to make it even harder for people to touch him without burning themselves. In hand to hand normally Stephen had the upper hand, but anything else and he wasn't the best, though since his power also distorted vision for normal sight it drew people in to close range combat just the way he liked it. For a moment he wondered who he'd get stuck with. The newer students didn't hate him yet so that might be easier, but that meant being put with amateurs which he couldn't stand. Anyone that was returning hated him for the most part, well at least to his knowledge all the returning students didn't care for him. This was alright, he earned that from them last year, but he hoped he might be able to change that this year, but if not that would be fine too. Kristen Schwally "Miss Kristen, we're thirty minutes out." A strong voice came from behind young Kristen. She had been leaning on the railing of her fathers yacht in her bikini just enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful view. She looked over her shoulder and smiled. "Thank you Ron. Sorry you had to come and pick me up just for this, the photo shoot went an extra day so I missed flying out to go with everyone else." She said apologetically. Ron was one of her fathers closest friends and also the captain of her fathers yacht. He smiled kindly at Kristen. "It's not a problem at all dear. Though I must admit, I'm a bit surprised you chose to accept the invitation." Kristen giggled and turned around and leaned back on the railing, her hair which was braided down her back began to flow in the wind. "I just wanted to try something new. I mean I'll still get to do my career, it will just be something a little more stable in my life, and it would be nice to make some more permanent friends." She kept smiling at the thought of meeting new people. Ron nodded. "Understandable. Well if you need another ride you know I'm only a phone call away, and good luck." Ron turned and walked away. "Thanks Ron!" Kristen called out to him, and in response he just waved back as he walked. Kristen quickly ran up to her personalized room and took off her bikini and threw it on the bed and then ran over to her closet. What would she wear? She wanted to make a good impression...But would something to nice be too flashy? Hm...Okay so that eliminated several dresses, perhaps something a little nicer than not? Or maybe she should just go with some shorts and a t-shirt? No that wasn't nice enough. She crossed her arms defiantly trying to solve the problem, almost as if trying to discover the meaning of life. She marched over to her dresser and got her bra and panties on, then took off her bra and grabbed a strapless one. After that she had finally decided that she was going to go with a strapless dress. It was a white dress, with three butterflies on it. One on the bottom right front, another on her left side, and the third on her right with the wing covering her breast instead of the white. She smiled and put thin white sandals on. She then went over to her mirror and looked at herself. As usual, no make up required, her hair could go with a different style, but since this wasn't a photo shoot it still looked nice the way it was. She swirled her hair and watched it land on her left shoulder and smiled. No need to be nervous. She knew she looked beautiful, so that wasn't an issue, she was a very friendly person so no worries there, so then why was she nervous somewhat? Oh yeah. She giggled at herself. She had no ability to fight, but it was her so what was the chances that would be needed? After shed' gotten to the dock she'd twirled down the ramp and laughed in delight as she embraced everything around her. Kristen had called ahead to find out where she needed to head and quickly walked that way. Some of her fathers men were already taking her luggage up to her room as she did so, within the hour her fathers yacht would already be gone. As she walked up to the school she loved the view, though so far her favorite thing was the beach. Once she was on the grounds though she definitely appreciated the architecture of the school. Finally she reached her destination. She could hear inside the room, obviously she was late. Some guy was mentioning something that everyone had to wear. If it was stylish then sure, but if it didn't look cute good luck buddy. She slipped into the room hoping no one would notice her and just kind slid along the wall and stood there really hoping no one would make a huge deal that she'd come in late after the speech was over. He couldn't be serious though! After all the effort she put into picking this outfit he wants her to toss it after barely thirty minutes!? Kristen would have to be sure to give this man a piece of her mind later. Of course that would never actually happen because she's too nice...But it's the thought that counts! She was just glad she didn't wear any jewelry today. Well might as well get this over with!
