Evelyn found herself too boring to talk about and in finishing school was told one must always ask about others and never dwell on one’s own self, or perhaps her answers would have been extended. She listened as Mithias told about Kingsley Manor, and how it was actually full of vampire hunters. She was too enthralled to notice his skin healing so rapidly. ”I hope you are able to find the man who did this to you, and caused the explosion and bring him to justice. If there is anything more I can do to help you in your endeavor I would try my hardest,” she reassured him, very much so wanting to help, but unsure how, unless of course, she were a vampire. Silly notion, but at least then she might be a bit more useful. ”I think, whoever did this must have a grudge against vampires. I would assume they heard the rumors of the vampires in the basement, thought he would be hitting a blow to them, and then when he saw the opportunity to harm you, got a bonus, which is a very sad thing,” she said, giving her thoughts on the man who was still at large. ”If you’re wondering my thoughts on vampires, well, it does sound awful on one hand, but on the other rather fascinating and fantastic,” she said quietly, hoping she hadn’t offended him. After all, he had mentioned trying to kill himself in his story and for her to marvel at the condition as something to envy might irk him. She looked to her lap and messed with her fingernails, thinking over once more all Mithias had spoken. "Hmm. A vigilante hunter mistakenly attacking the wrong target. A very good hypothesis. I had not considered that. He did call me a monster, and I did run at him from the burning mansion. That would make sense. You may have helped already, Evelyn. Thank you. But as far as 'justice.' that is not my area of expertise. No revenge on my part is justified. I will simply find him, find out what his goals are, and then decide if I should get involved. I would prefer if he didn't threaten the Kingsleys, or anyone for that matter." Mithias lifted his head up and straightened himself in his wooden chair, causing it to creak with his weight. There wasn't a scratch on him. "Vampires may be fascinating, but remember what I said. I have yet to meet one that was remotely sane. They are dangerous, Evelyn, and bloodthirst has the potential to possess them even if they do not want to harm you. They are alone, and crazy, and barred from Heaven. Don't think so little of yourself. In your humanity and weakness, you show more strength than anyone who relies on a supernatural power ever could. I am honored to be in your presence." ”It is your quest, and your soul, so I will not dissuade you from revenge,” she remarked, although she wasn’t sure why. Perhaps she too wanted to see Mithias take revenge on this person for the acid attack and explosion. With the creak of the chair, Evelyn’s eyes seemed to finally notice Mithias was healed, and she was rather mesmerized, staring at where the burns had been. How inferior, how mortal she felt at that moment. She was brought out of it by MIthias’s words though and a light blush came to the apples of her cheeks. ”Thank you,” she said quietly, tucking a fallen curl behind her ear. ”But do you think, perhaps it is a fate or path of a human to become a vampire? Perhaps what they were meant to be? Or simply some sort of curse?” she asked, and then thought it over. ”Never mind, it’s unimportant,” she said quietly, dismissing her own silly notions of the universe. ”Your skin seems healed, how are your eyes?” she asked, concern flitting through her tone of voice. Mithias slowly reached his clawed hands behind his head and untied the cloth blindfold. His eyes were closed, but they looked amazingly healed. They cracked open, seemingly still painful, and vivid golden irises peered out. They were the color of gold and fire, quite in contrast to his dark brow and hair. He stared at her, memorizing her features, and it was like looking into the face of an animal. Was this real?? Inwardly, he hoped the shock would wear off quickly. It had been a long time since he had been this close to someone without planning on feeding from them. It was rather nice. "Evelyn? Are you alright?" Evelyn watched Mithias as he revealed his seemingly healed eyes. The gold of them seemed full of life. It was almost unnerving to see. No wonder he said he could not walk among humans and be unnoticed. She would certainly stop and notice such an appearance. She hadn’t realized how wide her sparkling blue eyes had gotten, looking at him when he asked if she was alright. ”What? Oh, yes, yes, I’m fine thank you,” she said softly, a gentle smile coming to her lips as if asking forgiveness for her rude stare. ”And you can see alright?” she asked, once again, making the conversation about him. He looked around the room, seeing it for the first time. "Yes." He didn't appear to mind her looking at him, nor did he give any indication that he even noticed. Getting up, he took the shirt on the bed and put it on, as well as what was left of his jacket and his weapons. He looked at the picture before recovering that as well. "She is not my lover, if that's what you're thinking. Nonetheless, she probably still wants to kill me." He smiled strangely at that. "These are a man's clothes, yet I gather you live alone." He turned around to face her, still keeping a respectful distance. He was probably even more intimidating when standing up, open-eyed, and armed. "Did you have a husband?" Mithias legitimately wanted to know what happened.
