Took my family to "The Great Pumpkin Farm" up here this morning. We picked out our pumpkins, the kids went on a few carnival rides, we got to fire a "punkin chucker", and had a lunch of fresh cinnamon donuts with hot cider. (Sighs contentedly.) Our house always has some Halloween decor up, we met at a Halloween party, were married in October (18 years in 2 weeks) and named our eldest "Autumn." The Fall is always the best. I can't wait until the leaves start turning! It's the best weather for mulled cider, spiced mead, and a good pipe. It's also a good time to snuggle under piles of blankets!
