Baylen had a great life, managing a gym for the elite, schmoozing with the wealthy and famous, bringing in an easy $100,000 a year, not including his annual bonus and tips from the guests at the club. Everyone liked him and he knew how to please a crowd from his good looks to his natural charisma; he was always the one laughing and staying positive from the moment he woke up til the time he went to sleep. 

One night Baylen was invited to a game of cards at one of the member's mansion, a game that would change his life. He left the party with a win of $25,000. This was chump change for the guests at the party but was an enticing amount of cash for Baylen. Wanting more, he found more games to play in, his winning streak continuing. As he progressed in to the big leagues he eventually began to crumble when going against players who had more experience and wit then he did. He kept losing, losing his winning funds, losing his pay checks, eventually he started selling some items from his home to keep himself in the game. He began to borrow money when he had no more of his own cash to put down. Combined with his new addiction to alcohol he kept acquiring more debt as he struggled to get his money back. He was blinded by his dire situation and was desperate to get his winning streak back, confident it was just around the corner. After having borrowed over and over from a gamble lead by the name of Thane Orto, Baylen eventually dug himself in a hole too deep for himself to easily get out of. His focus on gambling and alcohol addiction has cost him his job, all of his savings, his car, and eventually he would lose his apartment and probably his life if he didn't pay his debt by the end of next month.
