Fantastic point! I'm glad someone finally caught on and called that out. I won't reveal much, but I will tell you that Iroh stands to be one of my favorite characters, so I put an immense amount of effort into his rewrite. You see, without the death of Lu Ten, I had to fabricate a whole new plotline and series of events to make Ozai the Phoenix King and Iroh the Fire Lord regent instead of the Fire Lord himself.

I won't reveal too much, but rest assured that Iroh will play a very similar role in this AU as he did in the canon and he hasn't changed too much at the core. That said, fantastic observation. I came along that flaw during the original conception and I could not bare to make Iroh another power-hungry Fire Lord/Former General.

It would be fair to note that Ozai and Ursa essentially assassinated Azulon and used the cover of Iroh's failure to conquer Ba Sing Se after 600 days (due to the death of Lu Ten), so it wasn't just outright manipulation. Shit was straight deceitful. Ozai is a dick.

Actually, no! :D That was a secret in the canon for a long time, so I will also keep it such. I will admit that I have reworked them and do have plans for them. If you want to be integrated with them, it would take some work on your part to accomplish such.

It was just a thought. If you have plans for them already, I'll leave it alone, unless having a player in the know would help you out. Regardless, still pretty interested.

If you wish to be part of them, you most likely will have to create a quality OC, then flesh them out and converse with me as to how to integrate them into the White Lotus. It would be a significant amount of effort, but anything worth having normally is.

That's great! Just a quick question: What is lightning bending like in this RP? Is it like in the original Avatar, where only few royalty and high ranking officers know how to bend, or is it like in Legend of Korra, where it's more widespread?

It's not even that Widespread in Korra. Lightning Bending, as with any form of advanced Bending, is not meant to be common, and is not something a novice or even intermediate bender can use.

Metalbending was never invented and sandbender colonies do exist, yes! :D

Sandbending might not always be useful, but if you can capture the culture in a character, that would be fine. Characters should have far more depth than just their bending.
