Serenity Taking a bold step forward, the leader of the uprising, Yrmar Tamra'dum, spoke over comms in response to the Equestrians approach into Serenity's atmosphere that they marked for them. "This is Yrmar Tamra'dum, representing the Serenity Revolution of the Common People. We have argued long and hard over allowing Sazkarjhia to give us religious freedom, and after a long time of oppression and misery under the Sazkarjhit regime, we overthrew the governor of the colony. However, the Sazkarjhit military reacted violently and we are attempting to garner support, as I fear that the worst of the Sazkarjhit war engine has yet to come." Samani-Class Prowler PNS With a Whisper of Grace, in Orbit Above Serenity "Ma'am we have picked up rebel comm traffic on Serenity." 1st Naval Officer Argyl'sum, one of the few remaining Sumreka Sazkarjhit, reported to the shipmaster. Grand Marshal Gamra'dum read the report and listened to the transcript. "Aye, report it to Fleet Lead for response." "Yes, Ma'am." Marku-Class Cruiser Flagship PNS Vengeance of Our Fallen Comrades, in Orbit Above Serenity "Fleetmaster, we have a report with rebel comm traffic from the surface." the communications officer reported. "Heh..." Fleetmaster Heran'kum chuckled, "...the rebels seem to have taken a bold step. But such insolence should be regarded with proper retribution. Send orders to Spirit and have them punish them, whipping them into place like the animals they are." he replied. "Aye, sir." the officer saluted, his voice filled with slight dread. Trikolo II-Class Orbital Bombardment Vessel PNS Spirit of the Damned, in Low Orbit Above Serenity Sitting above Gurin several hundred miles up, locked in geosynchronous orbit with Serenity, the highly-decorated Spirit of the Damned laid dormant, with repair crews and drones maintaining the ship. When orders were patched in, Grand Marshal Buryn'hum was almost giddy with excitement. He issued the order for a ground strike near the outside of Gurin--not enough to seriously damage the effort but enough to scare them into reconciliation. Several blast doors on the heavily-armored underside parted as five rows of coilguns, with ten guns in each row, began to protrude, their capacitors charging as several-ton ferrotungsten slugs were loaded into them. Minutes later, they fired in an order reaching from bow to stern, creating a white staircase as burning hot metallic shells pierced the atmosphere and neared Serenity's surface. Within the seconds it took, nobody had time to prepare for the impact. They hit in an ascending order, throwing dirt and stone hundreds of feet in the air, creating thunderous shockwaves that rolled across the earth, demolishing anything that got in their way. Screams were quelled as houses were quite literally thrown in the air, ripped from their foundations and shattering from the bottom up upon landing. Several explosions sounded off. When all was said and done, a trench fifteen kilometers long by six kilometers wide replaced a residential and commercial block of the capital city of Gurin.
