Since entering the big time, he has had a string of successes to his name as a lawyer, helping many of his clients to be acquitted from sometimes very harsh odds. He defended a mafia member, who he did not know what involved with the mafia, the man was set up, and in an odd turn of events ended up with Preston defending him when he was tried for double murder. He managed to work a near miracle, getting his client away with an acquittal which pissed off the opposing mafia that set up his client, putting Preston at the top of the target list. He had been in his house since the trial, when he received the letter, excited by the chance of more money and the promise of his large problem getting taken care of.
