He quickly read it, taking away that it was a request to go watch someone for someone. Sato absent-mindedly nodded to it in acknowledgement. As Teiji started to walk away, Sato waved back. “Maybe.” was all he said in response to what Teiji had said to him. As he started to make his way out of the amusement park as well, Sato slipped out his phone and navigated his way over to the entry for Ryouta in his contacts. He considered it, for a moment. Why would he want him there? Why would he feel more comfortable if Ryouta was there with him, even if only observing from a distance? It made no sense to him and he wondered why the feeling of wanting—no, needing someone to be there for him, was so foreign to him. It wasn’t even Ryouta he wanted. Regardless, Sato’s head felt heavy from what was happening. Something had broke inside of him because of what had happened in the last couple of days and it felt catastrophic to him. He had tried to forget about it during his expedition to the amusement park but that didn’t help it all, so Sato made a hasty decision of grabbing something to drink from one of the stalls before heading out to the mall. ------------ Sato Hashimoto // Warakuma Shopping Complex Almost immediately upon coming in the entrance closest to the food court, Sato could smell all the scents wafting from all the stores and restaurants. Though, Sato could barely afford to spend time enjoying his senses, as he had decided to text Ryouta to meet with him by the mall’s main stage, which was situated in the “front” of the food court, near to the noodle store. The sounds of students, adults, and children blended together into a loud mumble in the back of Sato’s mind, in an almost comforting lull as if the mere presence of all these people in one place made it completely safe to do anything. Sato smiled to himself when he saw Ryouta standing in the confident way only he does. He put away his phone almost immediately after noticing that Sato was approaching him, and when Sato felt the vibration from his pocket, he knew it was another indescribable emoticon. Ryouta had never actually answered the text Sato sent him but somehow he knew that he would be there. Sato had been around the man long enough to figure he wasn’t one to abandon a friend, especially when he could get a laugh out of it.
