If it has modified the genes, then yes it will be hereditary to some extent. However, the child will not have the same power. It will be different but similar. If both parents have powers and the child gets the genes from both, the power would likely take aspects of both. However, if the child obtains only some of the genes, a power may or may not manifest in some way. (Basically, it would be a mutation with no actual effect as it lacks enough genes.) Those with "stronger" powers, like 080, would be damn near guaranteed to pass on some aspect of their power as his DNA was essentially ripped apart like a kitten with a ball of yarn. So, if the power is a really vast change, then I could see the chances being higher. The less obvious changes are probably less likely to be passed in a way that will actually alter the child. If it happens, I have a possible way to determine if the child has powers: If both have powers: roll d% 1-30: Child is normal 31-70: Child has power related to both parents 71-100: Child has power related to one parent (roll 50-50 shot to determine which parent) If one has powers: 1-70: Child is normal 71-100: Child has power related to parent with power If one has really obvious power: 1-30: Child is normal 31-100: Child has power related to parent with power
