Red Winston & Christopher Fox Red was taken aback by Deborah's words. It was true that emotions were not his game, but he didn't expect that experiencing them would cause such a mess to his powers. He knew that this thing happened when he felt fear, which was the only emotion he acknowledged of feeling, because of his fear of big knives. But, other than that, he didn't expect that, if he was exposed to other feelings, his memory storage would just overload like this. Being susceptible to a power is one thing, but completely powerless? Red didn't even want to think about it. Chris was also listening to the conversation and was just as surprised. The kid was the exact opposite of him. Chris was a vault of emotions, especially guilt and self-hate, had a crush of his own and was willing to love people, not just make acquaitances. It was actually the first time he witnessed something like this. Usually, he would encounter people who at least had emotions like hatred or overconfidence. People with only negative emotions. But it was the first time meeting someone who had none and who would be freaked out by getting to have some. "Hey, kid...Don't you have parents? A girlfriend? It can't be that you just don't have affection towards somebody...", he asked. Red reflexively touched the scar on his face with his fingertips when he heard the question. While he did have affection to his dead father, he locked the memory of this feeling in a chain-locked door at the very back of his memory Hall. He had to, after all. The shock of losing his father almost cost him his sanity. It was also the main factor that Red didn't allow himself to feel anything about someone. It was a mental precaution that Red considered nescessary for his well-being. Red answered: "I did have a father...and I killed him. I was seperated from my mother when I was too young to remember her, so I don't have affection towards her. No hatred either. I just don't know who she is. So, there is no person for me to care about any more. I got involved in business that did not allow me to trust anyone by myself either, before joining the Academy. The way I lived up to now, I can only remember feelings making me weak and it was a hindrance to hav...." Before finishing his sentence, Chris grabbed him from his collar with his sole arm and bumped him to a wall. "Don't make fun of people who actually do have emotions kid. Many people are willing to go to extremes for someone they care. I don't care if you don't understand what I am talking about, but don't even thing about mocking these people." "Then I guess that your missing arm is because of your emotions too? Please, spare me the answer..." Red replied and took Chris' hand away from him. Leaving Chris speechless with his last statement, Red turned to Deborah and said: "Thanks for the information, Deborah. I will do my best to put it to good use...See you later." With that, he walked away from the two girls and Chris.
