Alex Beta Alex smiled to her friend as the two of them walked along. Alex was sure that it wouldn't be too hard for the two of them to make some friends, who wouldn't want to chat with a living lightbulb and a living shadow? "Aw Lynn! Don't worry. I think you're super nice, so I'm sure everyone else would agree with me!" The giant panda thing rushing in had actually taken Alex by surprise. She watched as the creature let out a roar and began charging across the room. Alex didn't know a whole lot about animals, but it didn't seem like a particularly friendly roar. It was weird, the only time Alex had ever seen a panda was at the zoo when she was very young. And all that thing had done was munch on some leaves and sleep in the corner. Alex didn't even think pandas could charge, no less grow to that size. And then she had to think about how a giant panda would even get into the building on the island. Despite all of these oddities, Alex was scared. It wasn't the same fear she felt when Vespera was picking on her, Alex could stand being walked on. But when it came to giant animals attacking, that was a different pay grade all together. Despite the slight curve of her lips, as if indicating she was actually enjoying the panda attack, the ever lasting glow around Alex changed just for a few seconds, in the time it took for the panda to burst in and for Adam to silence the room. Her glow changed from a bright white or yellow color to a dark and murky black. It was as if the shadows around Alex darkened only for a few moments. Black holes seemed to do that to people. But once Adam explained who the panda was, Alex was back to smiling fully. She turned to Lynn, as if not aware of the strange change that had just occurred over her internal light. "Dude! That's so cool! We might end up having classes with a giant bear!"
