You are right: easier may not have been the right word.. Quicker is probably more accurate...

I imagine that as he gets bored quite easily, he would sit down in class, open the textbook, and start reading the material. He'd lose interest in what the teacher was saying, start looking at the problems, and then he'd accidentally have slowed down his perception of time, and start trying to figure out anything that doesn't make sense to him. Then he'd start solving problems. And then he'd look up, and see that everyone else was just about to start working. He'd just condensed an hour into a few minutes.

Yeah, I need to expand on his personality, and I will do that right after I have dinner :D
