Connor walked slowly back to Hermes Cabin, enjoying the pleasant stroll through the camp. Now that the party was quieting down the walk was almost relaxing, save for a few rather drunk campers scrambling around. He thought back to when he had first entered this camp, about five years ago now. He had been young and scrawny, and everything was just a bit terrifying. Gods and monsters and demigods, he felt out of place among all the magic, and unlike the kids at camp he had never struggled with fitting in in normal life, sure he was dyslexic and had a touch of ADHD, but those were manageable and he never mind it overly much. So while some people who got here felt uncomfortable for a moment, but then at home in the camp, it took longer for Connor to become comfortable in this camp. He got his butt handed to him by all the older kids, and the Ares and Athena kids in combat, and Artemis and Apollo kids were better at archery. The years came and they went and by his third summer, at age fifteen, he had finally begun to get used to combat and archery, and he even started to look forward to returning to the camp and missing the faces of all his half-brothers and sisters, in spite of the tight quarters in the Hermes cabin. He shook his head lightly to clear thoughts of the past as he got back to the cabin. He was about to head inside when something odd struck him. He stepped back from the door and did a slow circle, trying to look in all directions, unsure of what he had noticed. Then he looked up, and saw a brand new camper sitting on the roof, and couldn't help but laugh. "Trying to get your bearings?" He called up to the boy. "You a new Hermes kid?" He couldn't help but already be searching the boys face for the traits so common in the children of the gods. Sharp nose, mischievous eyes, darkish hair, all trade marks of his godly father. He didn't appear to have any traits of being a legacy but sometimes those lines got blurry after a few generations, unlike his own traits. Connor bore a few rather prominent traits of his grandmother Athena, in his bright blond hair and the lighter coloring of his eyes.
