Four lucky humans - survivors of the initial apocalypse disaster - have made their way out of the desert oasis of Phoenix, Arizona, and into the desert, erecting a base in which they struggle to fulfill their daily needs. As the days stretch on, things get easier - a shelter constructed, a garden sowed - but it becomes evident. This self-reliant fort won't last much longer unless it's inhabitants make a trip to the zombie-infested city.
