Mixtape Ghost N SOMETIMES EVЕN RICH NIGGAS GET LOST

I changed Pink's ability a bit. I shortened the range of her water manipulation, removed her regeneration in water form, lowered her strength in contact with water, removed the Water Form's Regeneration, added a fin on the back of her head, and changed the appearance of her Water Demon form a little. She'll appear after the timeskip.

I've expanded on Mark's developed power: it makes him effectively invulnerable, which is what allows him to move as fast as he can think without immediately turning to mush.

He would need superhuman body-control, and a durability to pull that off.

Now that I have a solid idea of what my character's backstories are, I'm going to get to writing some.

His current power lets him slow down his perception of time. His developed power is effectively scaling durability, which inadvertently gives him superspeed. The body control isn't an issue, as if he can slow things down, he can do things as precisely as he pleases.

Anyway lets explain what I'm saying. Before his power develops, if he tries to move his body while his perception of time is at double speed, he will find that it causes quite a strain on his muscles. If he tries to move his body while his perception of time is around 1000x faster, he will find that he can't without turning his muscles to mush. Of course, this doesn't happen because if he tries, his brain dampens how much he can stress them, and if he actively tries to anyway, he'll get incredibly sharp pains. After his power develops, he will find that when he tries to, his body can fill with an energy that makes him invulnerable. Not durable: invulnerable. At least, to and self inflicted damage... If he wants to move at double speed, his body will compensate for it, and it won't take too much energy to do so. If he wants to move at 1000 times speed, his body will compensate for it, and it will take a huge amount of energy. I mean, heck: how much energy does it take to make a potato move 1000 times faster?
And how much would that hurt to get hit by? Before I get told that this is OP, how much energy would it take to keep that potato from exploding into a million pieces when it makes impact? A whole lot more!

So, if he threw a punch at double speed, it wouldn't take much energy to keep his fist together. If it hit something on the other-hand, it would take a whole lot more to keep the fist together when it impacted. And the possibility of him running out of energy to protect himself from an attack is very very real. Ashing, as stated, is also the inevitable consequence of over-use.

But this is all his ultimate potential. He can't do any of this yet.

1,000 x X, where X is the value of the speed of potato, represented by miles per hour per potato speed, or mph/ps.

x = mph/ps = 0

x = 0

1,000 x 0 = 0

So, the speed of a potato, when multiplied by 1,000, remains at a value of zero.

No I don't. The adjustment of Mark's perception of time somehow provides super-speed and invulnerability? The power, as I am aware of it, is to slow down his perception of time while maintaining the speed of his usual thought process, yes? I don't see how that makes him invulnerable or grants his body super speed. The power relates to his perception and his brain procession, not other unrelated superhuman feats.

I was thinking about doing a similar power. The trick is altering other peoples sense of time through some means which slows there perception of time down or stopped altogether, thus causing you to go faster in there mind since you are still going at a regular pace and not their perceived slower time, or if you halt their time for a short amount of time, it would appear as though you disappeared and reappeared somewhere else, though stopping someones perceptions is difficult, so it's actually be like to the extreme of the first one still causing them to think you disappeared.

Edit: I left out some details on this but it's a lot easier to describe verbally so if you have questions just call me on skype because I can get into more detail. As for speeding up time and stuff like that in perception well that still won't speed up the body, in fact you'd get frustrated at how pathetically slow your body was moving since it couldn't keep up with your mind.

That is the development of his power: having control over your perception of time is the first stage. The second stage grants him the durability needed to actually move when time slows down, but only for very short bursts, and it would hurt like hell on earth and be very tiring. Stage three would make small uses off it completely painless, with bigger uses being able to be used for longer, but it would still hurt like hell on earth and be very tiring. Stage four would make extended use of very high speed not incredibly tiring at all, but still overdoing it would hurt like hell on earth. At stage five, he would turn to ash from inevitable overuse.

Yeah... Even for a development, that's pushing it quite a bit.

I did put as much in my original power description: that it would develop to the point where his body would catch up with his mind. And that he would inevitably burn himself out from overusing it. That got approved. I'm not adding anything new, I'm just explaining how that works.

If you don't like it, then I'll amend it if you've got a better way of explaining how he can move at super-speed without turning to mush. While being balanced of course :)

Of course, his body will learn to keep up, but he'll follow the laws of physics like everyone else (okay, maybe not EVERYONE else) and not be invulnerable and zip around. His power is slowing his perception of time, not actually slowing time down. Perception has nothing to do with body enhancement.

Ah.. I think I see the miscommunication here. By slow time, I mean he slows his time. I'm just using it as shorthand for his perception of time: I'm not shortening it to PoT, cause that could mean something else entirely XD

And it's only outright invulnerability to a limit. When that limit breaks, he is pretty much immediately dead based on the speed that he could be going at. Now, the size of the limit varies on how much energy he puts into it. How much energy he puts into it determines how long he can keep it up. For stuff thats not particularly fast, he could keep it up for longer. For stuff that is incredibly fast, it would be for a fraction of a fraction of a second. And as I've said, it freaking hurts to use it, and that pain is just going to get worse when he wants to do stupidly fast things. It'd be like he's pulled a muscle without the actual damage: it makes it borderline unusable.

So, unless I'm understanding this incorrectly, he would have a power somewhat akin to that of The Flash, only in short, painful bursts?

Pretty much dead on. Only from what I've seen, The Flash doesn't really have any real strength: he just moves fast.

And that irks me. If he can move at the damnable speed of light (which Mark can't even get close to, don't be ridiculous) then why can't his punches, which have mass, have the right amount of force? And how the hell does he know what he's doing unless he's seeing everything in slow motion!!

Mark is effectively a more realistic flash. My original concept of the character only had limited control of his time perception, but seeing as there was a guy with omnikinesis, I beefed him up a bit for this RP :)

Yeah, I saw the omni. It looks like everyone here is a bit beefed up XD
Anyway, I posted. Wondering how I can showcase a bit of Evan's power, past the involuntary glowing. Anyone have any ideas?

Even if it has it's limits, I do have to say I don't like the prospect of him going from altering his perception of time to becoming an invulnerable speedster. When there are other developments out there that would make more sense.

I can't think of any other developments :|

And an invulnerable speedster is his ultimate potential.. Which he will never reach, because he will turn to ash first. That much power needs a lot of damn energy. And those reserves run dry. But if you seriously don't like it, I will change it.

EDIT: And Obscene, Capture the Flag is coming up soon. She'll get to show off then :)
