What for?
Oh, also this is a bit relevant, but about why a "personality" section wasn't added it is because I never considered "personality" an important aspect because nobody should know about how is a character until they get a chance to interact with. Leaving the personality blank allows for a bigger flexibility and, in general, because I much rather see that you guys show rather than tell

Can I use Scrolls as a substitute for actual spell knowledge? and if so, how many scrolls per spell?

I'll let you start with max five scrolls. They may be all of the same spell, different spells or something in between, but they still need to be of low level until you can buy more

Also, in Daggerfall more than scrolls you can find potions instead

Yeah, but I'm making Argonian Indiana Jones! What're you more likely to use from a crypt full of treasures, a few scrolls or some age-old potions?

...Well, it's ES, so probably both. But you get my meaning.

At the contrary, High Rock is a place where treason and plot is highly rewarded(but not as much as with high elves) and the nobility will always hold high someone capable of eliminating political enemies. Also, you worked as a guard and thus know your way around nobles.

Scholars hate you because if anything you were betrayed by a mage and thus they are wary of 1-you being stupid for falling for the trick and 2-you could go on a revenge attack against mages (not to mention mages being dicks in general to anyone who doesn't know magic)

Well, I would like to keep the OOC small so I would like you not to make unnecessary posts

WIth that said, there won't be dragons, there are no dragons until skyrim, HOWEVER, there are some creatures known as dragonlings that, despite being small are incredibly dangerous and powerful but can be talked with with the dragonish skill

They are not related to the dovah in skyrim though

And im awake

Name: Valen
Age: 27
Class: Nightblade
Race: Breton
Gender: Male
Spells: Chameleon, Open, Firebolt, Shock, Calm Humanoid
Weapon Spec: Shortblade
Maj Skills: Shortblade, Destruction, Stealth
Min skills: Mysticism, Illusion, Backstabbing
Equipment: Steel Wakizashi, Leather Armour, Cloak and Cowl, Map
Background:
(TL,DR? Poor boy, swapped identity with a rich kid, became a ward of a mage, learnt magic, left seeking adventure)

Valen was born a street urchin who would survive the dangerous streets and harsh terrain of Highrock by robbing and stealing from local shop keepers. That is not to say he didn't usually get caught by the shop keepers if not the guards who over time through his time in jail cells he even came to befriend a few of them.

When Valen was 14 years old he went on another of his "Grand Adventures" which was really just going to another town in search new loot. This time however something quite strange happened. When Valen was walking a road in the countryside he came across a boy not much older than himself, Valen questioned him but the boy seemed to be highly confused and was unable to answer most questions, all Valen learnt from the lad was that he was a noble and was travelling to a Lords estate as he had recently became a ward through some family scheming. However the lad and his guard were attacked on the road and his guard were cut down fairly quickly giving the boy only moments to escape. With a glint of mischief in his eye Valen suggested to the boy that they swap clothes so the boy would have better chances of escaping, the boy agreed and gave him directions of where he was to go.

Valen arrived at the Lords house who happened to be a former high ranking official for the Mages Guild but was forced to retire because of a few plots against him. And Because of the lords former rank Valen was able to learn all sorts of wondrous magic that he would never have dreamed of learning.

Valen grew close to the lord, who never suspected a thing (or so Valen thinks), but he longed to go on another "Grand adventure" just as did when he was a lad, and so Valen departed seeking adventure. When Valen arrived at a inn a courier slipped him a letter under the table.

Where are you?: Daggerfall

It is, although this time you seem to have put 8 skills (you require the magic skills to use magic of that school), but since it fits the character I guess I won't complain (since I'm so eager to start anyway). Daedric is indeed a skill, but contrary to what you would think it is an ability to, not only communicate with daedras, since they can speak common, but to befriend them, which, well, isn't something Alfgore would be likely to do. So you could take Daedric out and you would be left with 7 skills, which is one more than the limit, but can be downplayed
Reflect (reflect spells) is very high leveled (sending spells back to the caster is very powerful) so I had to take it out. Although banish daedra seems also very powerful (in the original game daedras as the most dangerous enemies and insta killing them is very powerful) but it just fits your character too well to not allow it, however, because of the high level of the spell, you won't be allowed to cast them many times before running out of magicka, so keep that in mind

Al in all, accepted

It is good except for two things. Fire bolt is a bit powerful to start with and Calm Humanoid is from the thaumaturgy school, which isn't part of your skills but I'll let you keep those spells with two conditions. If you use Fire bolt at the beginning you'll have to wait a bit to re-cast it again (until you get a bit of experience, not much) and every time you use Calm Humanoid, because it isn't your proficiency, there is a chance of it missing and not working (one third of the time, I'll toss a dice or something).

Also, I had a bit of a hard time thinking what your reputations should be, but I guess it is okay
