Reyna's Fate, Sealed. A collab between Chromehound and Little Alice. Summary : Though Team 13 has barely recovered from the surprise of Asami, that packed a literal punch, it seems that it isn't yet over for Reyna. Before it is even evening, there is another surprise at the end of the day for the young girl. One that will change her whole world.
Asami marched into her own office. She had a rather content expression on her face, but a serious look in her eyes. Today she had managed to uncover information that would prove vital for her futher researches. All she had to do was now to double confirm some aspects of her gained and confirmed information with her newest test subject. While she sought for something in her office, Asami knew she couldn't call her newest subject like that. ''Lady Asami, the room is ready. Shall we go and get the future host?'' An ANBU asked. Looking at the door opening, Asami nodded only. She was excited, but also wanted to find something. Wrapped in cloth, she pulled something out of her drawer. ''This will become helpful.'' The ANBU raised her hand as she knocked several times at the door. There was only one visible. The others were all laying in wait, watching over the premise and the one that visible. There was a slight pause before muffled footsteps could be heard approaching the door. Undoing the latch, Hiro Azuma opened the door, his eyes widening slightly as he saw who was on the other side. "Is something wrong?" The ANBU shook her head. ''No. Sorry for disturbing you sir, but we need the presence of your daughter. The high council of Kumogakure and the Fifth Raikage are in need of her. '' The ANBU explained. At a hand signal, one of the hidden ANBU would come out of hidding. ''He will explain very briefly on what will happen, but I hope that you will cooperate. This is very important, for the whole country's sake.'' Furrowing his brows briefly, Hiro grew worried. Already he was suspicious, and tempted to simply close the door. But that was never a very intelligent idea when facing an ANBU. And, if what she said was true, then Hiro couldn't really get in the way of Kumo's well-being. "I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific." He said after a pause, adding a hint of amusement in his voice to hide his nerves. "I have several daughters... Which one are you looking for?" ''Reyna, mister.'' The male ANBU replied instantly with a neutral tone. He had his right hand near his kunai pouch. Flexing his fingers, he however made no further movements. The female ANBU spoke again. ''Sorry, but haste is required. If we won't have your daughter present here within a few minutes, we are authorized to retrieve her with force. Orders of Lady Asami, sir.'' The female ANBU said with a more serious tone. Nodding his head slowly, Hiro bowed. "I will be just a moment." Closing the door as he moved back into the house, Hiro frowned. What could they possibly want with Reyna? He hoped that his daughter hadn't gotten herself into anything troublesome. Approaching the girl's room, Hiro knocked gently on the door frame, leaning in with his arms folded. Glancing up from the paper she was studying, Reyna flashed a smile. "Hey dad." She could see the worry in his eyes, despite Hiro's attempt at a smile. "What's wrong?" Sighing, Hiro stepped into the room. "Hey sweetie. Look, there are some people here to see you." He phrased his words carefully, not wishing to alarm his daughter. "Who is it?" Reyna asked, hoping that maybe it was just her friends. Letting out another sigh, Hiro realized that he never had been good at lying to his daughter. "They are ANBU Reyna. Here on behalf of Lady Asami. They need to talk with you, and apparently it's quite urgent so I'm gonna need you to come quickly okay?" He felt like he was betraying his daughter, but there wasn't much choice. The ANBU had been quite clear. Staring at her father for a long moment, Reyna had so many questions that she wanted to ask, but instead she nodded and got up to follow him. Opening the door again, Hiro looked out at the ANBU, one hand placed securely on Reyna's shoulder in order to give her some comfort. "Sorry for the wait. Do you mind explaining why you need my daughter now?" Shuffling awkwardly, Reyna looked up to the ANBU, feeling very intimidated. She quickly looked down at the ground, wondering what she had done to make them come here. The male ANBU nodded as he stared with his masked face at the man. ''May I come in?'' While the male ANBU took a step towards Reyna's father, the female ANBU gestured to Reyna that she should come with her. ''Reyna? You are needed to come with me. Now.'' It was clear that the woman was getting impatient. After all, they had not that much time to fetch the girl. Glancing up at her father, Reyna hesitated. Seeing Hiro nod, she resigned herself to her fate and stepped towards the ANBU. Hiro watched his daughter walking away from him and felt a twinge of regret. Turning his attention back towards the male ANBU, Hiro hesitated. "I would prefer not to alarm the rest of my family if that is possible, but if it is necessary then yes, you may come in." He wasn't overly fond of the idea of letting the ANBU into his home, but Hiro understood that it wasn't wise to deny them either. The male ANBU would nod and follow Hiro into the house. The female ANBU turned on her heels and then march towards the Raikage Office. Silently the other ANBU, that were hiding in the dark, would continue to keep an eye on the two. During the whole walk the female ANBU didn't start to talk or speak towards Reyna and kept walking at a rather fast pace. Almost like she was jogging. Arriving at the entrance of the big building that was built against a mountain, the hiding ANBU would form a perimeter at the rear of Reyna and the female ANBU. But before they would enter the place, the female ANBU came to a halt. ''Please continue on. There will be a messenger chuunin that will guide your further towards Lady Asami.'' Taking a deep breath, Reyna looked at the large building in front of her. Steeling her nerves, she walked forwards. A large part of her wished that her teammates could be with her now, she felt stronger when she was with them. Opening the door, Reyna stepped through. ''Reyna, right? Come with me! Quick!'' A young man, dresses a regular chuunin stood at the counter, beckoning Reyna. He looked quite friendly as he smiled and how he spoke to her. ''Sorry, but Lady Asami is growing probably impatient. Don't want her to rain hell down on both us, eh?'' The young man asked, chuckling briefly as he started to walk quickly down some halls. There were quite some ANBU present, walking around in pairs. And most holding a weapon at the ready. The man's cheerful enthusiasm confused Reyna. But she followed him without another word. Her eyes darted back and forth as they walked down the halls, trying not to let her fear get the better of her... She was failing. Walking a little more closely to the cheerful young man, Reyna was truly thrown off by the scale of this place, and the amount of ANBU inside. They were there. The entrance to a hall was literally guarded by a lot of ANBU. They stepped aside for Reyna. ''I need you to focus on this part and you on that one. In order to make the tras-'' Asami's voice sounded. But she stopped and looked over her shoulder. One of the masked people around her had pointed at Reyna. The room they were in was dark. There was no windows, only torches that shed an interesting lighting on the surroundings. ''Finally.'' Asami mumbled underneath her breath as she turned around. ''I bet you're filled with questions, aren't you?'' Asami first asked, but she wouldn't give Reyna much time to answer back. ''Come, come over here.'' Asami gestured that the girl should come to the low stone table. There were all kind of scrolls rolled out on the table. The room looked like something of nightmare. Glancing around, Reyna stepped forwards hesitantly. She indeed had a lot of questions, but this didn't seem like the time to have them answered. Her eyes darted to the ANBU, then back to Asami, and then finally back to the stone table. A sense of dread filled her, along with a dark sense of foreboding. Shrugging it off, Reyna stepped up to the table. "Did... did I do something wrong?" She asked Asami, the fear clear in her voice. ''Not yet.'' Asami replied as she turned around. ''We will use this seal. At least then we can make sure that the Beast won't try to advantage of a seal that also relies on a key that is on the inside.'' She said, likely continueing the talk of before. Some of the ANBU replied back as there was some talk going on about seals, their advantage as disadvantage of using them. Then Asami looked at Reyna. ''I guess that you've no idea what is going to happen, but let me ask you. Do you know what a jinchuriki is?'' A slight frown growing on her face, Reyna was becoming even more confused. "Jin-jinchuriki...?" She asked at first, the word unfamiliar on her tongue. A small memory popped into the back of her mind, something she should remember... "I... I am sorry Lady Asami, I do not..." ''It is a person with a Tailed Beast sealed in them. By the council of Kumogakure, you have been chosen as the one who is capable of burden this heavy task.'' The woman said with a cold tone. The ANBU were silent as Asami spoke and then after a hand signal were sent away. ''I need to have a talk with her. Alone.'' Asami said, making it also clear to Reyna. Once the last ANBU had left the room, it was just her and Reyna. Leaning against the stone table, Asami crossed her arms. ''Now time for me to drop the hard act. I am sorry that this happening in all of a sudden, girl, but things are what they are. You have been chosen to become the host of the Three Tails.'' The room seemed to spin as Reyna tried to process this new information. She was going to have a beast... a... monster, inside of her? Suddenly her mind caught on something. Midori! Her best friend... She had one inside her too... That meant it couldn't be that bad... right? Looking up, she was still filled with fear, but her curiousity kept her going. "A...Asami-sama, why are my teammates afraid of you?" Reyna asked after a pause. She had so many questions, but she wanted to push the thought of becoming a monster aside for as long as she could. ''Cause one of them is a pathetic little runt that wants to live in his own world. The other one is a miserable sack cause she doesn't want to see the ugly truth. When I protected one and also revealed the truth, I was called a witch. A devil.'' Asami's face scowled. Then she simply shrugged. ''Not that it is my job to care. To be blunt, I have been educated and trained to do what is being ordered. And I am not being told to hold your hands all the time. Like now, I have to put you through a lot of misery and pain. Not cause I just find it interesting or liking it, but cause I have to. To keep a city and people safe from a threat.'' Asami explained. It wasn't that she hoped that Reyna would try to understand it. In time Deidara and Midori would tell Reyna the same. Not that it would matter. At first Reyna frowned, she didn't like hearing her friends be called things like that, but she forced herself to continue listening. Despite the blunt nature of what she was saying, Asami seemed to be telling the truth, and Reyna found it hard to argue with. "Aren't... aren't the beasts a threat though?" The question made Asami look at a jar pot. It was quite large and somehow had a strange aura around it. Not a visible one, but just a kind of feeling to it. ''They are. But in the right hands and the right way, they are an asset. Your friend, Midori, has even tamed her beast. Though I believe it isn't really the case.'' Asami said. Then she decided to ask something back. ''Do you mind me doing this?'' The question surprised Reyna. She thought about it for a long moment, the fear beginning to creep back into her. She felt a brief flush of pride for her friend upon hearing that she had managed to tame her beast, but that didn't stop the images of monsters from dancing through Reyna's head. "Will... will this actually help the village...?" She asked, her voice beginning to tremble. For the first time she noticed the large pot that Asami had glanced at. There was something ominous about it... ''No idea. Each beast has apparently their own personality. I know that the Eight Tails was kind of fiesty when I tried to help Midori face it. Who knows how this one is.'' Asami said. She sighed and looked back at Reyna. Examing how the girl looked, Asami decide to say something. ''You will probably join their hate against me, but I will be clear with you. I dislike doing this, but I am going to force this upon you. I will give you three minutes before I am going to force you undergoing this.'' Asami said, pushing herself from the table and walking a bit away from Reyna. Not leaving the room or allowing Reyna to go close to the jar pot. That was too dangerous. Her eyes lowering, Reyna had been hoping for a more positive response. So many thoughts ran through her mind and she tried to fight back the tears that threatened to spill out from behind her eyes. "Why... why me?" Reyna hated the way her voice trembled, betraying her fear. She didn't want to sound like a whiny child, but there was nothing else she could do. It wasn't fair! ''That is the question I often ask too. Welcome into my world.'' Asami said. She didn't care if Reyna would hear the bitter tone in her voice about it. She had asked herself enough times why it was her that they hated. Why nobody thanked her for helping them, even if it wasn't how they liked it. But she already realized by now that this girl would also harbor a hatred against her. Just because she would follow orders from the council, which she was part off. Not that she would try to understand it. No, hating and disliking was far easier. "Will... will you help me with... with it...?" Reyna asked, her voice barely louder than a whisper. The whisper caught Asami's attention. ''Why would you want my help?'' Asami asked, a bit wary. "You said that you helped Midori-chan with... with her beast. I... I don't want to be a risk... Please..." She was aware that she was begging the woman that both of her closest friends hated, but Reyna had no reason to hate her... not yet anyways. And if Asami was capable of keeping her in control so that she wasn't a risk to the village, to her family... or her friends, then she would do whatever the woman asked. ''I think it is my current task as a temporary sensei to help you. But I doubt you will like it.'' Asami said bluntly. ''I am not going to be nice or holding your hand. You've a duty and that is it. I can offer some help, but I am going to demand something in return. I know your friends and before you will spit bad words about me, I am going to make it sure that we are even. Questions about that?'' She asked. She knew that she had to soon place the beast within Reyna, but the three minutes weren't over yet. Shaking her head, Reyna had already settled herself to her fate. If she was going to have to suffer through this, then she would take whatever help she could get. "Will my family know?" Asami thought about it. ''I am not sure. I thought that the ANBU would mention that they have discovered you have contracted a disease that we need to treat. So I reckon that they aren't suppose to learn about it.'' Was Asami's answer. Reyna nodded briefly, at least she wouldn't have to worry about that for now. "Will I still get to see them?" This earned at first a headshake from Asami. ''You really don't get it, do you?'' Asami first asked. ''You'll stay at home and will just get a secret surveillance of ANBU to make sure you're doing fine. The only thing you will need to do is lie about this. Until we are certain there aren't any complications or problems we can't handle. Other than that, everything will be normal.'' Her eyes widening, Reyna finally realized what she was saying. She wouldn't be taken from her family... her friends. For a moment Reyna wondered if it was actually going to be harder this way. "Is... is there anything else I need to know be-before doing this?" Thinking about it carefully, Asami shrugged. For a moment she almost had pitied Reyna, but realized what would happen. She would turn like Midori and Deidara. It wasn't going to help to care about her. ''Other than not doing anything reckless from this point on. Though I am going to make it certain that you will have some safety against that beast it will depend on you from that point.'' "Then... can we get this over with? I don't want to think about it anymore. I just..." Her voice trailed off and Reyna shuddered involuntarily. The fact that her body would no longer be her own was not only terrifying, it was an incredibly uncomfortable thought. Forcing herself to bring her eyes up to meet Asami's, Reyna tried to hide the fear from her face. ''Yes, but I have one question. You wanted my help, but what my I ask in return?'' Asami asked on a calm tone. She was sure that it wouldn't matter, but she had became a bit curious on what the girl would have as answer to the question. She hadn't thought about that. "What do I that I could ffer you?" The questions was answered with a rather simple answer. ''Your time. I need to conduct several researches and you might be useful in it. Nothing painful, but research that can prove useful for you and many others.'' Asami told her. Thinking about it for a long moment, Reyna finally nodded. "That sounds... fair. Will I get to know what I'm doing?" Asami nodded. ''Yes. I will instruct you on what the tests will be. Of course to keep them safe from that the results won't be genuine, I can''t share that information all the time. But in time, I may. First will need to see if I can trust you.'' Nodding her head, Reyna thought she understood. "Okay... uh... will this hurt?" She asked, fear present in her tone once again. ''A lot. Are you ready?'' Asami raised her right hand, ready to snap her fingers. ''Once we start, there is no way back. I could offer to knock you out cold. That will save you maybe some pain and trouble.'' Taking a deep breath, Reyna locked eyes with Asami. Fighting against the growing fear, she tried to be brave. "I am ready Asami-sama... and... thank you for answering my questions." Blinking a few times, Asami wondered at first why Reyna thanked her. It was quite surprising, but she just nodded. Then she lowered her hand. With a quick movement, her hand moved to Reyna's neck as she had approached the girl. The fingers found the spot and then she squeezed. Slowly it would become dark before Reyna's eyes. ''I am truly sorry.'' Something warm fell on Reyna's cheek as the last thing she would hear were boots marching towards them.
