Donny Lee Yang - Arms Slave "Piss and chips! Look at all these mobs!" Arms Slave roared as he struggled to escape the horde of Dissolutions. He's had run in with them before, and with tactics and quick reactions he could often handle them alone. But even his skills won't matter when there are at least thirty or so of them barring down on you. He could handle three or four of them with clever thinking, but the amount that was roaming the Black City was ridiculous. "This must be what those people at the DG HQ are trying to fix! Why are there so many of these bastards here anyways?" The Dissolutions didn't have much means to break through the armored hull of Arms Slave's truck, but there were too many of them for him to just try to mow down. Their amorphous figure also made it difficult for physical damage to affect them, as their form would simply warp and flex with each impact. Usually you'd need blast or magic attacks to do any harm to them, but right now there was simply too many for him to worry about that. He needed to escape them, and hopefully figure out where Corpse Collector was. If there was one thing about the Black City that Arms Slaved like however, it was that it was the perfect place for snipers. Lots of hard-to-reach places that makes it difficult for even flying types to get around. But for someone like Arms Slave, obstacles where trivial. If he wants to be somewhere, he will be there. In this instance, he was also going to take his truck there. "Hang on Hungry Jaws, this ride is about to get bumpy." Flooring the gas pedal Arms Slave had his truck go full speed towards an uphill incline. It appeared to be a simply sloped elevation, but Arms Slave knew the lay out of the city well enough that if he could get enough air he could launch his truck onto the roof of a building. From there he'd have to carefully manure and burst speed to practically parkour his way across the roofs. For post this was a ridiculous idea that destroyed any suspension of disbelief. But for Arms Slave it was the only thing he can do to escape the Dissolutions and get some breathing space for him and Hungry Jaws. Reaching the peek of the slope Arms Slave activated the turbo and sent his truck flying through the air. He clipped the edge of the building with his rear bumper, but he made it. Just one obstacle down as he continued to defy the odds and traverse the roof tops in his truck. He had effectively lost the Dissolutions when he ramped off the slope, but now he was just showing off. This was a ploy to draw out the Corpse Collector however; if she was around, she would notice a truck vaulting over buildings. And if she didn't see that, than she should hear this. "CORPSE COLLECTOR I'M CALLING YOU OUT! Ebon Skryters has a bounty on your head and I aim to collect! You found me before but I bet you can't catch me this time! I'm going to get you, and when I do, your ass is mines!" Arms Slave boasted and taunted Corpse Collector. Restu Goroshi - Dark Wraith To: "Curved Solitaire" From: "Dark Wraith" Subject: Training Hello Curved Solitaire. I'm sorry that we didn't get much of a chance to talk before Deep Ground crashed on us, but I wanted us to get started on our training. I have it on good authority that Deep Ground isn't entirely down, though it is rather buggy. If you have time, please log in as soon as possible. You should still be at the Black Citadel, and I will be near by waiting for you. Hope to see you soon!" That's the e-mail that Retsu sent to Allen Docson after she had left Tsugumi's office. Right now Retsu was more concerned with trying to shut down Corpse Collector for good; training Allen was more of a secondary objective. She planned to have him face down Corpse Collector with the others to increase their survivability and stall for time. She, of course, will also be there as Dark Wraith, however she also needed to focus her attention on more physical matters. Currently she was heading back to the Deep Ground Network HQ.She had some unfinished business there and was going to offer her assistance in culling some of the current bugs, such as the increase in Dissolutions, as well as making sure the Corpse Collector Dissolutions she made get put to good use. She needed to focus her full attention to Deep Ground since she was going to have Dark Wraith involved in battling Corpse Collector, but she also still needed to alter the code in the Deep Ground Network. To that end she was going to rely on some bots; while she would still have fine control over her character, she'd leave things like evasion, triggering her skills, and using items to an advance in-game AI. Restu only needed to stay on to communicate with the others and gather Intel on Corpse Collector, but didn't care much for the combat. Once logged in, Retsu was quick to start cleaning up the area of excess Dissolutions. She kept a few around which she quickly dispatched and made into her undead thralls. Dark Wraith entered Deep Ground with a console command that would allow her to identify bugs and deal with them immediately. In game play terms, this meant she could effectively delete Dissolutions and other obstacles in her path. She wasn't even using any illegal programs; she was simply using the same tools most of the in-game moderators and debuggers would be using. She would, of course, keep this a secret from everyone else. While she had powers of a administrator, she was very much not one. To ensure that she continues to do what she does, she has to make sure that this remains a secret. That means that once Curved Solitaire shows up she won't be able to rely on her console commands so long as he is around. She did rely on other hacker programs however, namely Cherry Hunter. Booting it up she began was able to track down other players in Deep Ground and found Arms Slave and Hungry Jaws not too far away. She also used it to track down Corpse Collector. She may have evaded Dark Wraith and the other Erasers before, but that was simply because they were never aware of her existence. Now that they know, there was no escape. All Dark Wraith needed now was some time...
