May I also suggest, when characters are going to be interacting for the span of an entire conversation, collabing on a post is a good option. Like, the two people work together to make a joint post (either through PMs or something like google docs) and then just post up the entire conversation in one go. It saves the IC from being cluttered and avoids confusion. 

It's really handy.
