Well, you see, you approved a character who is depicted as about to enjoy a spherical lollipop in their character portrait. While lollipops, or confectioneries most similar to them, originated in the middle ages, the spherical lollipop in particular (also known as the dum dum) was invented in 1924. 1924, as you may know, was six years after WW1 - the first war to see widespread combat usage of the aircraft (though aircraft had been used in the earlier Italo-Turkish war, spanning between 1911 and 1912). I hope you can now see the cause of my confusion! It was an honest mistake.
