"I won't be nearly as good as you, Love..." Edge whispered softly into the dragon's pointed ear. The boy normally would be the one to fall asleep in his mate's arms, but now it was his turn to comfort someone else. It was a strange feeling. While he knew it would be more work, he didn't seem to mind working if it was for Path. "I know... How we can survive for a long time." He whispered. "But... You should rest before I tell you." He paused, violet eyes glancing around."I uh... Know you have to sleep for a long time. But don't worry I can take care of things while you're asleep..." Edge continued, rubbing Path's back affectionately. Even now, Edge realized how much like a god Path looked like. Skylark breathed out a stream of bubbles. His eyes were closed, and he was lying peacefully in a thick, life-filled fluid. There was nothing as beautiful, he thought, as the sound of his parent's voices. Skylark had the sudden urge to break through, but realized it wouldn't be very smart. He wondered why he had only inherited memories of Path and not Edge, not that he knew who Edge was. Suddenly, he realized his brother. Skylark couldn't really comprehend anything other than pure emotion and most of all, love. And the unborn dragon knew he loved his family. He was like a human in appearance, for some reason knowing that Edge would favor a baby to a reptile. He was mostly formed, but was still rather small and undeveloped. He recognized Skylark as his name. Though he couldn't speak yet, he could still communicate. Not to Path or Edge, but to his twin brother, Sleipnir. 'Love' He tried to convey mentally. It was very lonely in here. Maybe he could speak to his brother...
