Of course, with the Knight's Templar order focusing on heavy armour the usage of strong shields capable of deflecting weaponry as rounds and modified swords so that they are as deadly as ever, of course they'd use guns aswell, however swords and shields is neccesary, like you said, with an ancient organization like this one.
