A confession to make. And a surprise to discover. A collab between Mr Nim and Alice. Summary : Running towards the Raikage Office, Deidara seeks out Asami's office. There he confesses and in return learns something about the cruel world they live in.
Arriving at the Raikage's office building, Deidara headed in the direction he did not take in a very long time. And soon enough, he was in front of the door with the name he refused to think of for a very long time. Taking a deep breath, and with large amounts of hope that she will hear him out, he knocked on the door which had a sign that said 'Asami Sanosuke, Raikage's Assistant'. He looked at the door for a moment before speaking out loud "It is Deidara Yuhiko, Sanosuke-sama. May I please enter?" He said, feeling odd for addressing her that way, but he figured she wouldn't let him in if he called her by her first name as of now. Reading a report, Asami frowned but she didn't look up. ''It seem that it would be rather rude to send you away now that you have found the balls to come and greet me.'' She said, sarcasm obviously dripping of her words. ''What is it?'' She rudely asked, continue reading the report that had been delivered to her. It wasn't nothing interesting, but she assumed that Deidara had neither interesting to say. Swallowing a bit, as it would be the first time he would be with his cousin alone in a long time, Deidara opened the door and after entering and closing it behind him, he looked at her, wondering if she was listening carefully or if she was paying more attention to the thing she was reading "I need to talk to you about several things, Sanosuke-sama. The first is an apology, the second is an explanation and a confession, and the third is a request for help. He stated, thinking it would be best she knew what he were the things he was going to say first. Still not looking up, she answered with another yet sarcastic reply. ''That is a lot to ask from a person you deemed somewhat evil, don't you think?'' Asami asked, putting the report down. Her right hand went to her pencil, which she used to note something down before she would place the report away. Throwing a rather frowning look at Deidara, she spoke again. ''I would be lying to say that I am interested in hearing what you want to say, but it seems I have nothing of importance to do at the moment.'' Lowering his look as Asami spoke, Deidara now felt rather guilty. He knew that Asami was spying on him and Midori, but those were things that were said while he was under heavy influence from his dark self. Looking back up as she finished speaking, he took a bow "I was wrong to deem you evil. I was wrong to push you away and say all of the things I have said on you in the past year and a half. I know a mere apology won't be sufficient for you to accept it, but I wished for you to know that now I understand that no matter what someone thinks about others, they need to keep it to themselves. As well as that pushing family was, most likely, the worst thing I could've done, seeing now I only have my mother, and she has become a bit distant too." He said before getting up from the bow, looking at her. He did not expect for her to accept the apology in any kind of way, but he had hoped for some kind of a hit from her. Remaining quiet, her frown faded away. It was replaced with a rather cold look as she spoke back, with a calm tone. Though there was some kind of undertone to it. ''I won't accept your apologize. I won't accept how you have talked about me. I won't accept it how you have threatened me.'' She began, slowly summing it up. ''I have protected you from the horror of what a revolution may look like. How a battlefield looks like. The experience of seeing your friends and comrades die right in front of your eyes cause you all are marching towards to fight for the village.'' The angry undertone came slowly boiling up. ''I won't forgive how you turned the jinchuriki against me, while I was hoping she would in time see what my actions would do. You have ruined and harmed a lot and you're damn right to think that I won't accept your apologies.'' Even though he wanted to look away from the cold stare Asami gave him, and cover his ears from the angry tone, Deidara kept standing still and faced what was coming to him. He knew that he deserved any cold look or angry word she gave him, and that right now, he will be willing to even be completely beaten up by her. After she stopped speaking, he took a deep breath "Very well. I think it's time for my confession and explanation." He said and took a deep breath "You most likely have heard about a name that started going around anywhere a clan has been disbanded. Mist Shadow. His name was also mentioned with our clan's disbandment." He said and closed his eyes for a moment before opening them, and now his expression changed into a more serious one "I am Mist Shadow. I have caused several clans to disband." He said. "Before you speak what you think about this, I will explain. A year and a half ago, while I was at the Turtle island along with my team, I went in secrecy to the Waterfall of truth, which was told will show one's true self to the person sitting in front of it. I did so, and I was faced with a dark version of me. At the time, with my misplaced anger, I accepted what he said, and didn't see the path my darker self will take me. But now I placed my anger on our clan. And soon enough, I learned a jutsu that would allow me to impersonate others that I meet. And after that, I broke into the archive of the Raikage's office and used the outdated bingo book to gain information on people who are missing-nins, or were at the past. The following months, I've started influencing people who were directly involved in councils of clans, slowly making them believe that the clans existance was wrong. Eventually, and indirectly, I have led to those clans disbandment. I have done so to 3 clans so far. One of them is our clan, the Yuhiko clan. At the time, I was influenced by the darker self to believe that I have finally taken revenge on those who did wrong by me, but since I have not worked to disband any other clan. Instead, I begun thinking deeper on my actions. After several months, today, I have come to realise that my darker self might've come from something else. Because before him, I had no grudge against our clan or any other clan, but I was only angry at your for leaving me behind, just like my dad did. Deidara spoke, ensuring his eyes will constantly meet Asami's stare. "I believe there is something wrong with me. And I mean, mentally. Because somehow, my darker self attacked me earlier in my mind. That does not seem like something possible unless I was faced with the Waterfall of Truth, which means there has to be a different reason." Deidara finished his explanation and took another deep breath, wondering if the woman believed him one bit or not. He figured that most people will send him away, thinking this story is mad. She simply kept staring at Deidara as she had listened to what he had told her. Slowly, she started to lean back in her chair as she didn't remove her cold looking eyes from him. Staying silent as she seemed to think about what he told her, she spoke up after almost a minute of silence. ''You expect me to believe your crap? That is the best you can make for confession for treason of what I can call one of the highest degree? One that would force me to kill you here and now?'' She asked, raising only her right eyebrow. ''You're even more stupid than I assumed to think I would buy the crap that you would be capable of doing such things. If this is some joke, you better leave now.'' Letting out a small sigh, Deidara figured this will be her response "Do not feel that I am attacking you. This is to prove a point." He said as he formed a few seals. Exhaling a cloud of mist out of his mouth, Deidara kept his eyes closed and his hands in the Bird seal and the cloud moved to his side before creating a form of a person, and soon enough, it was revealed that the cloud transformed into Asami "This technique allows me to take the appearance of anyone, and speak through the cloud, along with sense any other sense through the cloud except for touch. I can make the cloud move quite a bit away from me, and I can change its form at will." The fake Asami spoke with her real voice, before transforming back into cloud form and then taking the form of Midori Sato. After a moment the cloud dispersed and Deidara opened his eyes "I have used this jutsu to slowly fool people from the different councils of the clans. If you need to kill me, then I would have no more need for the request, as it will get rid of my mental problem. It will get rid of Dark Deidara for good." He said and slightly hoped Asami will do what she said she will need to do, because that will ensure Dark Deidara isnt able to manipulate him anymore. Raising her hand to her mouth, Asami turned slowly pale. Her eyes widened as she realized something. The surprised expression was soon exchanged for an angry one. Yet her voice was perfectly calm. ''Killing you would be the easiest thing to do. But I am not going to do that.'' She told him. ''What clans did you disband?'' She asked. Her cheeks were getting a blush, though it was clear that it wasn't because she was at all impressed by his.. work. "I caused the Gihiromi clan in the Frost country and the Iwasaki clan in the Sky country to disband." He said before taking a breath "I was also responsible for the Yuhiko clan to disband. Both here and in Konoha." Deidara said, keeping his serious expression, though he had wondered what was Asami going to do with him if she wasn't going to kill him. ''Killing you wouldn't solve anything. You have commited something worse than just treason towards the village. You have harmed it in a way that is just...'' Asami started to think. If it was true what he had done, it would mean that not only he was in danger. He had brought down a political shift down on them all. Somebody would just have to find a way to track him down and then once they would find him here, it would have a consquence that would harm the Cloud. ''You have gone worse. Your action has brought harm and danger to not only the state, but to thousands of innocent people. Your friends, your comrades and even family.'' Her tone was still perfectly calm, but her left hand was trembling as some steam was being produced from it. ''Don't even dare to suggest killing you. Cause if you think I would allow that, you're mistaken.'' "Then erase my memories. Lock me up somewhere that no one will find me. Do what you think is best to do, because if I knew... If I knew this would be the result of my actions... I am half tempted to take my own life right now." Deidara spoke right after Asami finished speaking, being paler than before and now appearing to be slightly disbeliefing that his actions would have such large impact. One that would bring harm and danger to everyone "If my actions caused this, I shouldn't be allowed to live anymore. Even if my body will live on, I should not." He said, now his voice sounding a bit trembling too. He looked with at with begging eyes, which asked her only one thing. To ensure that he will be unable to bring anymore harm to anyone. ''You're a real dumb acorn aren't you? Don't you get it, you damn slug?'' Asami asked. She raised her right hand up as she suddenly shouted something, while pointing to herself. ''This isn't only about you, but about what I feel! Do you think I would let you down like that? Damn stupid fool.'' Panting lightly, she looked at him with still the angry look. Slowly there were tears welling up at her eyes. ''Do you think I would just sit here and let you be harmed? To be taken away? Do you seriously believe I would want to accept this?'' She shooted the questions at him, not giving him an opening to answer back. ''How can you be so naive?'' Looking with shock at her as she teared up and begun telling him that she wouldn't let him down like that, Deidara was half unbelieving. She still cared about him after all. Still being pale and slightly tearing up too, he looked at her "I... I... I thought you didn't care about me anymore. And you just told me that I placed the entire village under harm and brought danger to all. I didn't think about anything but the fact that I shouldn't be capable of bringing harm to anyone else." He spoke, and suddenly his eyes widened a bit more. What would Midori think of what he just said? Or Renya? They would both want to kick him for being so stupid, most likely. He fell onto his knees "I... I don't know what to do.... I don't want this darkness in me to influence me anymore. I don't want to bring harm to you, Midori, Renya, mom, or the village. I just..." He lowered his head as he kept tearing up, trying to stop his tears. ''Shut up.'' Asami said. She thought about it all. He was going to face some serious consquence for this. The council would see him as a traitor, the other countries as an enemy and most of his friends would distance themselves from him. There was literally no way out for him. Except one. ''You're going to confess this to the Raikage. You're going to stand trail and await what is going to happen. But you won't talk about the other villages. You won't say what you have done there to any other living soul. If somebody manages to trail you back.'' Asami stopped. Her lower lip trembled, she realized what her plan would bring. ''Then you say I forced you.'' Raising his head as she spoke, Deidara wiped the tears from his eyes and listened to what she said. Upon hearing her state that if someone manages to trail him, then he needs to put the blame on her, his eyes widened once more "I am willing to stand trail in front of the Raikage and confess it all. But why say that it you that forced me into doing this if someone managed to trail me? I'm willing to face what will be coming then! I don't want you to face anything that might be a result of my doing!" He shouted, his voice now becoming a bit more steady as he slowly got up to his feet again. ''Shout again and I will cut out your tongue.'' Asami's voice was calm again, but she meant her threat. Flexing the fingers of her right hand, the steam that was produced from her skin was becoming less, but it was a visible signal. ''If the other countries will find out what you have done, they will come to Kumogakure to see justice done. Something I can't disagree with. However, I do believe you're as stupid as a runt to not see the consquences of your actions. Considering that you're not going to suffice for the loss, I predict that there will something that will hurt others that are close to you.'' Asami paused. ''I only have a handful of people that could be harmed in the process and one of them is already dying. If there is a way to lessen the damage done on you, then we are going to do it like this. And no other way. Am I loud and clear?'' Deidara couldn't believe it. That was her reason of telling him to put the blame on her? He wanted to shout even louder than before, say that he won't accept it no matter what, but he knew Asami usually kept her threats very real "I hear you loud and clear. I still don't like this one bit, to let you take the fault of my actions should anyone trace it back, but I will do as you've told. You are still the Raikage's assistant and my older cousin. I could never argue back with you, as you always managed to beat me down for what I've said." He said and looked at the floor. He knew it was no time to remember old memories, but he couldn't help it. Looking back up with a serious expression once more, he spoke. "I still want you to hear my request. I want to find a way to seal the darkness in me. Or figure out what is wrong with me and solve it. Because I keep feeling influenced by whatever it is, and I do not like it." Lowering her head, her hands were placed at the side of her head. Supporting the part of her body that was aching with pain and already regret, Asami kept paying attention to what he said. ''If you're really being troubled by something like that, you've come to the wrong person. I can't look inside of somebody and I can't help what you describe to me.'' She mumbled. Her head was being tormented by the thoughts. Not only her plan would bring ruin on her, but she meant her words. She couldn't help with something inside his head. ''There is somebody who however has experience with something... similiar to that.'' Sighing, Asami straighten her back. ''Do you know how Jinchuriki communicate with their beasts?'' Scratching the back of his head, Deidara took a moment to think about it "Well, I assume there is a kind of way that they communicate with each other inside their body. Like maybe a place of sorts that allow them to talk. And I know the beasts, or at least, the Hachibi, can take over clones." He said, remembering the beginning of the training Asami gave his team. He wondered if there was any kind of other way, but couldn't come up with anything, so he merely looked at Asami, waiting to see what she will say next. ''You're friends with a Jinchuriki that has tamed her beast and yet you know so little? Good grief, you're really...'' Asami sighed out loud as she placed a hand over her face. ''Sometimes I realize why I never ended up as a sensei before.'' Lowering her hand, she gave a stern look in Deidara's direction. ''The Hachibi is sealed, more or less now, within Midori. I have been there, in that sealed off part in her mind. If it is true what you're saying, then that beast or your friend is a better option to request help from. I can't look inside your head like I did with hers. There is no seal or anything that is made of another chakra source that I can search for. If it is like you said, it is all you. And the best possible help is from the Hachibi and Midori.'' Now Deidara couldn't help but wonder how would that go. He knew Gyuki disliked him for some unknown reason, but he assumed that he might have the chance to ask once he faces him "Oh. Alright. Well, thanks for letting me know, Sanosuke-sama. When will I need to confess everything to the Raikage?" He asked. ''Soon. For now, I want you to contact your friend. See what needs to be done with yourself. I will do what I can on this side.'' Was her answer. Asami's voice sounded a bit shaken, as she stood up and walked towards the bookshelf. ''I will send Michi to inform you when I have contacted the Raikage. But you should better prepare your story... See to it that your friend is there to witness that you have been troubled mentally.'' Nodding, Deidara turned around and went to the door. He put his hand on the handle and turned to look at Asami, seemingly wanting to say something, but then stopped before opening the door and exiting the office. Closing the door behind him, he started to go in the direction of the building's exit. He needed to reach Midori. He had no idea if she'd be willing to accept his story or that he was influenced by a darker side in his mind, but he knew that right now, according to what Asami told him, Midori and Gyuki most likely held the solution to his problem. Her hand trembled as she grabbed a book. Before she knew it, the object was flying towards the door. She had waited on purpose for several minutes before throwing the book at the door. Slowly, Asami fell on her knees as her hands shot towards her face. Crying, she let the tears flow over her cheek now that she would be alone.
