A shoddy looking dinghy can be seen in the distance. It's owner was rowing the boat with an excited look on his face as he caught sight of Loguetown. He heard rumors that rookie pirates from all the seas were going to be there! Maybe this would be his chance to gather a crew before heading out towards the Grand Line! The man on the boat couldn't handle waiting around anymore. He put the oars he was using to row back onto the boat. He placed his hand behind the boat, if his plan worked out correctly, he'd get there much sooner than he would've otherwise. If it didn't, he'd died. Something strange then happened, his hand blew up. A loud boom could be heard. The boat was sent flying a great distance away and the man found himself nearly falling off. And miraculously, his hand seemed just fine! He was risking his life over something so trivial, but he didn't seem to care, he just kept on doing this the rest of the way, with seemingly little concern for his own life. Because of a "minor" miscalculation on his part, he wasn't able to dock his boat at the port. He had actually managed to land on solid ground, the boat could barely handle the fall. But all that mattered was that the man--or Rem--as he was called, had finally made it. He looked at all the ships in the area, a wide smile still on his face. "I wonder if I'll get one of those things before I go? Who knows? Maybe they won't mind if I 'borrowed' one of them for a little while!" But that would be a concern for later. At the moment, he was concerning himself with looking for other pirates to join his crew. Rem begin walking further into the town, he felt a feeling of awe as he observed the place, it was hard to believe that years ago, this was the place where Gol D Roger--former king of the pirates--was born and executed. If he was able to choose where to die, this would be his first pick. It would be symbolic, y'know? But he was especially excited to find out who his new rivals would be. He was fully aware of how hard the journey would be, but in reality that would just make fulfilling his dream all the more satisfying. "Heh heh." He was surprised the navy hadn't already come to put a stop to things, not that he was worried about them or anything. Maybe they finally decided to back off for once? Nah, that'd be asking for too much. Wouldn't be much fun, anyway. Rem found himself heading to the execution platform Roger was killed at, not that he actually knew where that was, but he was sure he'd get there eventually. He assumed there were probably a bunch of others doing the same, which was definitely a plus as he'd get to see all the other rookies. He had a feeling that there was a great adventure ahead of him.
