Summary: Tabo takes Hikari to a secret area, there he has an impassioned interaction with Ken his Zanpakuto Spirit.
After talking to Haruka, Hikari had made his way into Tabo’s office and sat across from him. Hikari looked over towards the door, Keina and Hyperion were there recently, and he even saw them walk out but didn’t say anything. His time would come for him to meet Keina, but now wasn’t that time. “Haruka wants to learn Shunko, without the bs she told me.” “I see,” Tabo said tapping his fingers on the desk, obviously more interested in that than what Hikari was talking about. It wasn’t that he didn’t care; it was just that he was genuinely enjoying the tapping. It made pretty noises, he liked that. “I told her I’d talk to you, to see if you would train her. Along with Bankai she stated that Shunko was one of her goals, and you’re pretty decent at Kido. You can do Shunko atleast, so I thought I’d come to you.” “I guess I will. It is my temporary job anyways. But no one gets light training from me, you learn everything I want you to learn before I deem you ready for the big stuff,” Tabo replied. “Understood, I’ll tell her that tomorrow,” Hikari spoke as he stood up and headed for the door before he was stopped by Tabo’s voice, “Speaking of big stuff…” Hikari turned around with a raised eyebrow as Tabo kept going. “I think you’re ready…You told me that Ken has been silent right? Well that might just be for a reason. Now let’s get going.” A white cloth had wrapped around Hikari and Tabo, within a white flash they were now gone. Reappearing they were now underground somewhere causing Hikari to blink a couple times before looking around, was this the cave Tabo had worked on? It was a decent sized, but not that big, he wouldn’t question it though. He knew not to. Tabo activated his Bankai with his Bankai looking as if a normal blade, which pointed at Hikari while mumbling something. Suddenly they were in a dark area, though not the cave. Hikari didn’t get much time to look around the place though. “Jinzen,” Tabo said as he turned around and crossed his arms. Hikari nodded and sat down crossing his legs placing his Zanpakuto across them. He closed his eyes and took a single breath. Opening his eyes he was now sitting on sand, eyes widening as a large wave of water from the ocean poured onto him. “FUCK! Why do you always stand there so this happens!?” Hikari yelled at Ken before standing up and slowly making his way over to Ken while dripping. “The sky is like your eyes, the rain representing tears and the ocean representing emotions. Happiness, anger, and sadness. Common in this world, washed all over finally like a late night cry~” Ken spoke as he turned to face Hikari who carried a puzzled face. “Why…Are you talking like that?” Hikari asked, obviously unsure of what Ken was spouting. “A cloudy mind does not fair with a clear one,” Ken spoke before turning around again, “Grey and Gray, both have their sides. One is oblivious to what is happening yet seems at peace, the other isn’t but seems to be depressed. Which am I, which are you? What is mixed and what isn’t? Answer me, Hikari.” Hikari sighed and sat down thinking. Was this why Ken was silent? Because he was talking like this and Hikari wasn’t going to know why? Wasn’t going to know why. A cloudy mind. He didn’t know what was going on so he was obviously the cloudy mind, while Ken was the cleared one. What is mixed…Obviously one of those things was mixed and one wasn’t, it was obvious about the clear and clouded mind. Ken was happy that Hikari was using him more, meanwhile Hikari wasn’t all that happy…He sighed before speaking, “You are the clear mind and I was the cloudy one. You’re at peace and I am the depressed one. Simple, you’re at peace because I’ve started using you more. I’m depressed because of my family…Which goes back to what you said earlier. The ocean is my emotions pouring on me because I hold so much back, I realize that now, why it always pour on me when I enter.” “Those seemingly at peace still hurt more than you know. Everyone hurts, everyone needs a release. Now let it out, speak with your weapon,” Ken said as he drew his blade. Hikari nodded and stood up drawing his own blade, clashing it with Ken’s causing thunder to strike onto the ground and water. They circled each other clashing blades causing more thunder to strike, causing the winds to pick up around them. “A world fueled by your hidden emotions is hazardous if you hold them back!” Ken called out, Hikari barely hearing him through the storm and their blades clashing, “Let them all out! Destroy and re-create!” Hikari narrowed his eyes and swung harder knocking Ken back with each hit, letting his anger out. His spirit energy spiked giving off massive killing intent not noticing the tears coming out of Ken’s eyes due to the rain, the rain the tears had caused. “He made me kill them!” Hikari yelled as tears fell from his own eyes, the earth began shaking and cracking yet they kept their balance. The ocean began rising higher with the rain, “Just for some stupid test! I killed my family for their stupid test! How am I expected to run a fucking clan when they make me kill them all myself!?” Hikari eyes had widened as he slashed harder, each slash causing the ground to crack more. Tornados flew around them, rain hitting them like ice, Hikari didn’t even notice the Tsunami closing in.

“I killed my mother with my own goddamn spirit energy!” He yelled, “Then the same members of my clan that I tried so desperately to find! I finally find them then I have to kill them! And just knowing that it was to build my strength!? How does that not fuck somebody up!? How do you expect someone to run a clan after all that!? After you’ve killed your own people! How-“Hikari stopped speaking once he saw Ken cut up on the ground smiling weakly and bleeding. He began shaking while dropping his blade.

“Destroy and….Re-create,” Ken said before coughing up blood, “You…Let the past out, now…Let it go. Look forward to…The…Future.” The tsunami had swallowed them both before Hikari had a chance to react, he couldn’t breathe but he didn’t panic. Lightning had struck inside the water, even right near him and onto him a few times. The ground had crumbled and collapsed causing the water and everything inside it to fall into nothingness but was soon picked up by a tornado. Hikari weakly looked around, not seeing Ken anywhere. Destroy and re-create, the words had glued to the back of his mind. He slowly closed his eyes letting the world take over. Opening his eyes he put an arm over his eyes to block out the sun. He put his hands on the ground and slowly pushed himself up, feeling his hair hit across his back he ignored how long it had gotten. He began walking across the sand soon coming across a random dojo. He walked inside to see Ken there, sitting and looking at him.

“Ken, I thought you-“ “I did,” Ken interrupted while holding out his hand. He soon stood up before letting his arm drop, “Destroy and re-create. You let out your emotions and so did I, you ended up destroying the inner world and I ended up destroying myself. Both were re-created. You let your emotions out finally so you stopped the storms, tornados, and other weather hazards. I also let my emotions out, the ones I held from not being of much use to you.” Ken stepped up becoming face to face with Hikari, “Now I will be, with what I’m about to give you. It will help you from here on out, I promise you….” --- Hikari sat up from where he lay after hours of training. He had bandages around his eyes, neck, chest, shoulders, and arms. Some on his hands and legs as well. They were from training within his inner world. His hair had also grown longer, he also seemed more tone. That was due to Tabo’s ability, he didn’t know all the details but he knew the time worked differently there than here. What had been atleast a few months was measured down to atleast five minutes in real world time. Hikari began releasing some energy, at the point where he was it was probably for the better that he did otherwise he’d explode.

“Time to get a haircut, long hair really isn’t my thing,” Hikari said before ripping the bandages off his eyes and walking away from where Tabo stood smirking. Note: I didn't go too in depth with the training because I want to reveal it later, but I think I did a fair enough job showing how and why he got it.
