I wonder if there have been several assassination attempts on Kiara's life thus far. If so, poor girl. She knows more about living in fear than Ostus thinks she does, but she chooses to do something about it.

Also, the fact that the assassin was from Berinike will make her first meeting with Lamont all the more interesting :3
