I believe it depends on your interpretation of the Holy Light, its strengths as well as limitations :P

I tend to view it as a powerful healing tool & the best weapon against dark/unholy magic, though not sure how much it would do vs ordinary arcane magic/elemental based obstacles and hindrances. 

Of course, if you feel it means too much editing, we can ignore it for the time being. After all, you are brand new ;)

I recall fond discussions with Feychild about the nature of the different magical schools in WoW, hah. Those were interesting!
