The Manager gave a simple shrug at the question of Sarah, clearly not finding the information so secretive. “She’s completing inspections on the Canadian trafficking programs. She did give notice on a temporary delay though due to an encounter with a couple hunters as she does enjoy them as pets,” he said, glancing over another report he received. “She said she was also collecting several ingredients for her specimen she’s been developing for Nixon. She’s has been taking great care of him.” The Manager looked over at Lyre as she began playing her instrument. “Have you tested the instrument on a hunter? You know I have yet to see it used on a stronger mind like one of theirs.” ----- Connor gave a glare at Phil as he was reprimanded by...whoever this guy was. “Who the hell are you anyway? You don’t know who I am hell, you don’t even know who you are!” Connor was ready to rise in his rant when the man woke up and Paige was looking over the other two. Calm down, he isn’t your enemy, Connor thought, taking a breath. When Paige asked Connor to go out for water he gave a nod. “I’ll get it for you, and don’t worry I’ll be careful.” Connor stepped out of the cave, keeping an eye out in front of him as he searched for a stream. ---- Nixon roamed around the area looking at all the female human candidates. He had decided to stop his killing spree, seeing as the humans were now fully spread out. Killing humans in that way was too easy anyway. No, he’d rather wait. Spotting another girl Nixon got down and blinked up into a tree above her. She was busy catching her breath from running. The vampire observed for a while, watching what she did. The girl seemed intelligent and fit enough, probably enough to meet the standards of what the Manager desired. “Time for an introduction,” Nixon grinned, blinking down next to her. The girl immediately took off running as soon as she noticed Nixon. The vampire shook his head and blinked in front of her, folding his arms. “Now now, no use of trying to outrun the out runnable right?” Nixon scolded. The girl fell down onto her back, scrambling back up and turning. She didn’t even get back on her feet as Nixon appeared in front of her. “Come on dearie, I’m not even going to kill you,” he said gently, touching her shoulder. “Well, not me but you know I’m actually not sure what they want you for. Let’s find out!” Nixon blinked them both away and down into the complex. The girl was so stunned by the two suddenly inside of the decorative complex that she resisted very little as Nixon blinked them inside of the Manager’s office. “Here you are Boss!” Nixon said, presenting the girl. He noticed next to him was the non-singing siren Lyre. He gave a wave and a grin. “Oh hey Lyre, haven’t seen you for a while!”
