Third had set her eyes on James, she wondered if he would attempt to eat anything tonight... she didn't doubt it, she looked between him and Victor, he seemed to have his eyes set on him.

That was never a good thing.

Third scanned the many many faces around the many tables, so many people had come to eat tonight. It made her very happy, which she only displayed through a soft smile.

Azelf sat cross armed in front of his plate, it had small piece of meat on it, and a good portion of vegetables, he kept looking to Third, he seemed to be waiting for her to start before he did, she caught his eye and waved for him to begin, smiling somewhat sympathetically, the teacher found a way to keep his face covered as he tore into the food.

Third sighed when he began and looked up towards the dangerous teacher, perhaps he was actually going to keep nice and c- and he has a knife to a students neck already...

Third sighed, here we go again.

Luckily the student he had targeted seemed to be the wild boy, Guy she believed, which was somewhat a good thing, he seemed to handle himself well.

Third pushed out her chair and stood up. slowly and calmly walking her way to the undead, he probably expected her, and she expected this.

It was a usual occurrence it seemed...

"James..." The youthful looking woman said, behind the teachers back.

"What have we talked about when it comes to fatally damaging our lovely students?"

Her voice had a sternness to it, yet it also had an underline of sadness

After the two had walked around for a while, he said his farewells to Rhea as he would like to check the place that he will be staying. He had been walking around for a few minutes now, asking around where the dorm or something is. Someone that looked like a fourth year had led him to some place a bit away from the school building. "Thanks!" he said to his upperclassman as he entered the building that he was told to stay at during his days in the academy.

Entering it, he saw several beds in the large room. "So there would be someone else aside from me in here." he smiled at the thought. Having friends is one of the things that he likes. He finds them as a source of confidence or something. It'll be more fun for him too. "Well, let me just go pick a bed~!" he said before humming while waking around the place. The room was spacious, having almost literally nothing inside. Only beds and dressers resides in it. Though, it'll probably be filled with more things later on. After walking around the room, he chose the one farthest from the door.

Placing his bag on the bed, he took out several daggers, ten of them. "Now where should I hide these?" Looking at the dresser beside him, he opened the bottommost drawer, "I guess I will do it here." he grabbed one of the daggers then started to form what seems to be a circle in the drawer. He did his best to not put too much force to avoid making a hole on the surface of the drawer. After he was done scribbling some words, he placed the daggers inside then closed it. "Done! Now I hope I did it right." Just to test it, he tried to open the drawer, but it didn't budge. The spell he did was something that was taught to him just to make sure the daggers were kept safely. Then to test if his power will work, he opened one of his palms then thought of the dagger being there, and it appeared. Satisfied, he made it disappear before standing up. Then he remembered, "The banquet!" Quickly, he ran towards where the banquet will be held.

He arrived quick as he is fast in running. Plenty of people had already gathered. The mentors were gathered in one place while the students were sitting anywhere they liked. It seems that first, second, third, and fourth years are all here. He wondered if Rhea was here. Looking around, he didn't find one student that looked like her, "I guess she's still not here." He then went towards an empty spot and sat there, "These looks delicious!" he said then started to feast on the dishes on the table. As he did so, he looked around the table that he was on and there was some intimidating people there. Though, there's also a dragon that ate like there's no tomorrow. He found it amusing. Beaux wants to become friends with them, but he still feels nervous about it. So he just went to eat while thinking of how he should greet one of the students once he found the chance to do so.

After drinking what he thought was told was a courage potion, Guy fell under a placebo. He didn't understande it was ale they gave him and was hardly effected, giving it was his first drink. With his new found courage guy walked to a man staring at the drakon, and smiled as he stepped near him.
"a strange site to behold, isn't it. Barley are such common folks as us bestowed the pleasant treat of engaging ourselves in the watching of a drakon at feast"
Guy hiccuped as he noticed how strange he was talking, He never knew he had such a vocabulary, Never the less he sat down next to the man and plopped a whole radish in his mouth and ate it whole.
"now could you be a kind man and tell me the species of which the dragonian man feast. I now little of the world you call home, as I am a cave man, not a neanderthal, no sir, but am man of the confusing and strange systems and metros you call caves" he took a deep breath as he drank the remaining contents of his mug and slammed it on the ground.
"this elixir... I tell you man You gotta try this, It is like an alchemist melted a philosopher's stone into a pot of the milk of paradise and and..." He stopped and began losing balance and fell into a daze.

Isaac's eyes were hard at work, but he loved it, training was his passion, tests and puzzles to solve, and that's all this was. He smiled to himself as he watched the interaction between James and Old Lady Ell, as well as the one between the swarm of girls and the two students who had started a fight earlier, he chuckled at the antics of the one as he saw the girls focus visibly shift from one to the other, then he watched the other behave strangely, 'Must be a lightweight" Isaac reasoned with himself, All the while making sure to keep himself fed, and carrying on a silent conversation with Talon, it was a language they had developed subconsciously over the years, it required no words whatsoever, only normal, barely noticeable body movement. A nod of the head, a slight movement of fingers, a show of new scars, a swipe of the arm, a hand running through thick, slick, hair, a touch of the mask etc, etc.

Then, Isaac, saw a student hurriedly enter the banquet, it was a large affair so the student hadn't made much noise, but Isaac it was enough to gain Isaac's attention. The student originally looked like he had been looking for somebody, but couldn't find them. As the student sat down, Isaac recognized the distinct look of over-calculating nervousness, a similar expression to what he, and many first years, had had on his face during his beginning tenure at the Academy. Isaac eyed the first year, raising an eyebrow as the student sat down near him, shrugging inwardly Isaac reached out, and grabbed another piece of meat, unfortunately placed near the carnivorous Dragoid, as Isaac fought his way through the throng that was the eating Dragoid's atmosphere, he waited to see what the student would do, if anything.

"hey~ be careful~" xelou said preventing Guy from falling with his right and an holding the hand of a lady he was dancing too. He looked at the lady andsmiled, it meant he was not going to dance anymore and the lady left, "whats all that thing you are talking about being my servant? are you drunk?" he asked and slaped Guy two or three time softly "just dont drink too much ale, or you may wake up in a place you will regret" he said laughing

James sighed. Of course. Third always had to intervene. "I was testing his reflexes! You know I don't kill students outside of Survival Class...... usually." James' tone was defensive, but he added the last part with a smirk. Bettie Moondale. Fond memories. He had decided after that event that he was a particular fan of Elven Meat. It was simply.... well, fresher. James was distracted, as he thought of cooking and eating Third. He'd never do it, of course - he respected the old headmistress far too much, even if he disagreed with her coddling of the students - but sometimes, the thought was quite tempting.

Freija

The banquet came far too soon.

Freija found herself having time to stop by and unpack just the essentials to such an occasion, consisting of a gown of an emerald hue, much less flowing with a corset across the front and no tail trailing behind her, and a nicer pair of shoes than the riding boots she had on prior. A little crown of Elven fashioned twigs rested on her head, clear crystal being held in the center of it, at her forehead. She contemplated a cloak, but decided otherwise. It would be too warm and stuffy with so many people around, anyway. Washing up and braiding her hair to the side with matching ribbon, she had it tossed over her shoulder when she came in, though by the time she took her seat next to the boy she'd met in the courtyard, it was in messy condition already. She usually didn't mind much, but this occasion found her feeling especially self-conscious. Regardless, it was nice to dine with someone, albeit someone who's name you didn't even know yet.

Though the massive number of people sapped the appetite from her, and she had her fill on mostly vegetables and fish, only once ever taking a small leg of pheasant for herself and even then, eating quite quietly. Though she wasn't sure if it was her underlying nervousness that made it appear so, or just her general upbringing, her eating was dainty, careful. Calculated. Taking tiny bites and tasting each bite individually, letting it roll around her tongue a little before swallowing. Quite uncomfortably, actually.
That lack of appetite really was acting up. She didn't think of herself to be one nervous in crowds, but here it was, and it was happening.

"So...I never caught your name." she asked the boy she dined with, absent mindedly. Her attention was elsewhere, looking over at the people. She scanned a dragonian human-ish creature, some boys engaging in a dance and then breaking it off, and one of them, a little inebriated, going up and talking quite loudly to the dragon. She shook her head. Not a good idea. But they seemed like any other students, messing around on the first day of school and revelling in their primes. Hormones raging, adrenaline pumping.

She completely ignored the little display where the undead teacher almost knifed a student. Brushed it off, almost. Like she'd gotten used to it in about a day. It didn't bother her much, though her eyebrow did rise as it does when she's intrigued when the headmistress came over, whispering indiscernible things to him.
Her eyes fell on those who refused to show their faces. She'd always been curious how they'd eat. First it settled on Azelf, whom she'd got to know via Third earlier in the day, and several other students, or teachers. She wondered why they hid their faces. It was a curious question that had always played on her mind.
It even settled on a lad who moved very little, though the little gestures his hands made intrigued her.

They settled on another blonde boy, though more tanned definitely and appearing quite built too, making eye contact often with this masked man. She'd assumed they were friends. Strange they didn't speak much, though. But to be fair, she wasn't in a better position. She tilted her chin a little when his gaze fell to someone who looked as lost as she did standing in the doorway. Only wondering what he could possibly want. But she did keep her eyes on the young man sitting a little across her, hair slicked back. It wouldn't be of much assurance, but he seemed thoughtful. Maybe just a little reassuring glance would set her straight and give her the confidence she usually had.
He seemed to have been here a hell of a lot longer than she had, judging by how he was relaxed about everything going on.

"...oh, I'm sorry." she murmured with a slightly cracked throat, barely audible by her partner. She righted it by taking a sip of water and asking a little louder, "What was I saying?"
She'd found herself drifting off, and the sound around becoming a dull drone. Daydreamer? Sometimes.

Isaac continued his conversation with Talon, enjoying the exercise his eyes were getting, catching Talon's subtle gestures would usually take more energy than he was actually diverting to it, but the conversation was fairly surface level and as such the gestures were among the more obtuse in their silent language. Scanning the room and keeping his senses trained on the newbie at the table, Isaac noticed the new teacher, the attractive one that appeared to be about his own age, whom he had spotted walking around earlier, and whom Isaac had originally mistaken for a student but deduced otherwise, admittedly most of that deduction was due to the adornment of her hand, the ring that only teachers wore. He saw her glance over at him, he glanced back and flashed a smile of white teeth, and threw in a playful wink while he was at it. It appeared to calm her, her countenance previously had held a nervous curiosity, not unlike that of Isaac's when Isaac had slain his first Dragon, the beast in this case, or so Isaac imagined, was the beast of the imminent school year that would come with the following months.

Isaac turned back to his food, fully satisfied that there was nothing immediately threatening the security of the banquet or it's members beyond those that he couldn't pick up with his finely tuned senses, he turned back to the food and finally let himself enjoy the feast, continuing his conversation with Talon, and letting it get less and less surface level as he continued.

Jargon tilted his head slightly, aware of someone further down the table talking rather loudly about his race. But he ignored it, rather going back to inhaling every piece of meat in front of him. Then he saw a hand slither his way into his food radias and paused, glancing at the face. Isaac. It let out a small shrug and went back to eating his food. But, before too long he was stuffed to the brim, even though he had already eaten twice the normal amount for a typical human. He said," aye, that should hold me over for a few good days." Much like actual dragons, depending on the size of the meal he can go a few days without eating and feel comfortable. He grabbed an ale, finishing it in one swallow. That would be his only drink tonight. No use waking up tomorrow wanting to just curl up and not move with a hangover.

Guy flipped out of his chair amazed by xolou's parlor tricks.
"ya know I know A little magic myself."
He wasn't lying he picked up a few tricks on his way here. He put his hand on his face as he finally felt all the times xolou had hit him at the sparing match, and just now. Maybe being what xolou called 'drunk' was really a weakening potion. Guy thought it over and grabbed xolou by the shoulders and shook him wildly.
"XOLOU THEY DRUGGED ME, I CAN FEEL IT IN MY FACE. IT'S PAINFUL"
He was confused and afraid. Soon he began hyperventilating.

Third sighed and shook her head

"This isn't much of a joking matter, I though being a teacher yourself would mean you learned easily but it seems I am proven wrong..."

She moved to sit down beside the undead, the closest person sitting next to him made even more room between them and the teacher then there was before and the headmistress sat down.

"I hope you don't mind if I sit here for a while" she stated, not asked.

"We could have a nice little chat" still not a question.

"May I ask what you are thinking about?" Elle asked rather idly as she placed a single baby carrot on her plate. This time it was an actual question, and yet one that probably didn't actually need to be answered.

Elle had seemed to keep her eyes now mostly on the pair of boys surrounded by the large gaggle of girls, Third glanced quickly to Ornestein, "drunkards mm..." she said under her breath.

Guy let out a sigh.
"what the crap is this drink anyway, it taste like fox vomit"
he had never had alcohol before, and a few third years talked him into a drinking competition, whish he barley won, at a cost.
He sat down, catching his breath as he was surrounded by xolou's usual crew. He was becoming claustrophobic, and a little nervous. He felt himself blushing as he covered his face. He was still thinking about all the mistakes he made sparing, and still wanted to say sorry.

James remained silent, sighing. While he would gladly die for the academy, you couldn't train a warrior in an environment without danger. A fighter, yes. One could become the most skilled swordsman in the world, and yet they still would not be a warrior. James knew very well what it was like to confront the fear of death and mortal injury, and the sooner these students learned how to do that, the more of them would live. He was growing especially worried, as recently there had been stirrings among the Undead. Although James was not popular among his kin, many did not care about allegiance as much as the offer of money or food. Something big was happening, and although he hadn't voiced his worries, he knew the headmistress was aware of them.
Quietly, James pointed out each child. The dragon-boy, the first target on the battlefield. He would attract the most attention, and be the focal point for the enemies attacks. He'd die before he made it into melee range with the enemy. The drunkard, a great fighter, who knew nothing of deceit or trickery. He'd fall to his ignorance and naivety, a dagger in teh back or poison in his food. The ladies man, too arrogant and self-confident. He'd get into a fight with someone stronger than himself, and be struck down by either spell or blade. The eager young lad, who had not faced his fear of death, and would panic when faced with a more powerful opponent. He'd either attack with reckless abandon or flee, inevitably dying in either situation.
Calmly, James pointed out each student, calmly pointing out their weaknesses, and how they would die. In a normal conversation, he would have spoken, but James saw breathing, and thus speaking, as something unnecessary that got in the way of communication. The headmistress, he knew, would know what he meant. He had yet to find a shielding method that prevented her from reading his thoughts, and had given up a long time ago.

Guy looked at him, obviously scared.
"there watching. There everywhere, no escape"
He was talking about the girls that were behind him. Even when wasted he was in full contact with his three major fears:girls, cats and katanas.
He noticed the girls were looking, almost aroused by the looks of it, was he just a prop in xolou's game? He felt used, but also questioned why he cared. He was going to be fighting for him soon enough, this didn't matter.
He wanted to be alone now, so he knew what to do, He pulled xolou in and pointed to freija , who had not been entrance by xolou's spell.
"I think she's the queen, make her yours, and have control over the evil entities around us" he said giving a hiccup now and then. He knew that xolou probably would fall for such a stupid trick, but the fact that a girl could avoid his power might make xolou want to understand why, or seek the challenge. He knew little of how love worked, but his parents told him that it can be just any girl, she had to special, in a way this made guy feel like he was playing cupid for xolou, like the fairy tales were the nice angle hid himself as a less attractive being.

When he saw how carefully, daintily even the teacher next to him went at her food, Victor felt a little embarassed and set his own fork down, stopping his eating and avoiding a good bit of the poison by sheer coincidence alone, unbeknownst to him. He was raised well, and should really know better than to eat without care, he realised as he stopped his eating for now and turned his attention towards her. "My name's Victor. Odd name for me, one would think, I know." Giving her a polite smile, he turned his attention towards the crowd of people - the ones that caused a fuss. He never really liked great crowds of people either, but he was alright watching the drunkards and the more obvious students from afar... studying them, imagining what it would be like being confronted by them and what he would do. After a little while, he realised he didn't get a response to his last sentence. Looking back at the elf, one of his eyebrows was raised when he saw her dozing off in a way. "...are you quite alright, miss?"

As Beaux ate his meal, he watched a drunk person do embarrassing things, it was quite hilarious. "How can he do that with all those people around him?" he said with a smirk. He was just holding back his laughter as he doesn't want to get into trouble. The person with the drunk student was also hilarious. They look like a comedy duo to him. Soon enough, he finished his meal. 'Alright. Time to say my introductions.' he made his resolve. Just as he stood up, he felt a shiver run down his spine. He looked at the teachers by instinct, specifically at the one that he caught observing the students. What was that he felt? He wondered. Shrugging it off, he just went to talk to the nearest person... which would be the guy who was making signs or something continuously. He opened his mouth to speak, but he stopped as he felt like he would be disturbing him. Sighing, he leaned on the table.

He absentmindedly observed the teachers. They all looked very powerful, but they all seemed to vary in personality. There was a grumpy looking one, another was silent, and there was... "Wait. I've seen her before." He finally noticed the 'student' from earlier. What was she doing there? She doesn't look like someone who would be teaching them. Curious, he stood up and walked towards one of the teachers. He went beside the elf then crouched. She seemed to be talking to someone, but he didn't manage to notice it. Then Beaux spoke, "Umm... Do you mind if I ask something?" But he went ahead and stated his question "Why is there a student with you teachers...?" he just asked in a whisper as he doesn't want to disturb anyone else. He somehow forgot about his nervousness and went to talk to someone without knowing what he was doing. Perhaps his curiosity made him do it.

The Elven woman smiled right back to the comfort of the smile of the boy a few tables across. She even dared mouth a silent 'thank you' when her fluttering heart settled in her chest, and she sat up a little more upright in her chair, a little more confidence and a little more like her usual self, with an almost regal aura about her. It wasn't unlike Elves, really. Her eyes rested on him for just a little bit longer when he dug into his meal, and she remembered her own on her plate, and the sound of a voice to her side. Finally looking up at Victor, one of the very few times it happened that evening, her eyes were almost a little apologetic and she twirled the braid about a little nervously with the fingers of her left hand, her idle hand, with a smile so tiny at her lips, it was as if reserved just for him. Whether in apology or general interest was unknown.

It didn't take her long to trace back the conversation to what he had said a little earlier, but there was a little bit of a pause indeed. "Ah, Victor? I think that's a fine name. Nothing quite wrong with it, for a lad that I do expect to impress me with how hard he works, mm? It'll be a pleasure teaching you, Victor. I'd introduce myself again, but that brief period in the Courtyard must have been enough for you to catch my name. Besides, I'm assuming you're going to learn a lot of it in the next couple of months. I don't know how your schedule is placed, but you'll see me at least once a week. Sadly enough." she gave him a smirk, even biting her bottom lip a little as her hand crawled for the glass of water, and she took another sip, the last sip. She was actually daring enough to excuse herself from the conversation long enough to reach over for a bottle and pour herself some wine. Red, she preferred it to white. She swished it around in her glass a little before bringing that to her lips and taking a longer sip of it than she ever did her water. "Oh, don't worry about me. I'm really okay. It's just...well. Being new here is a little intimidating, hah. So far I've only met about a couple of people. Nobody, save Third, seems very talkative here. It's a strange matter."

She couldn't be more wrong, almost flinching when she noticed the student come up beside her. Before anything else, she put her glass down before turning to the lad. Her breath was sweet with the wine lingering on her tongue, her lips, and though it wasn't as good as some things they had back home, she definitely had to commend it. Not bad at all. "Oh, hello there." she squeaked. The first thing she noticed about him was the scarf, and she could recall seeing him out in the courtyard earlier too. She nodded with recognition before speaking again "Ah, if you mean me, I believe I'll be teaching you this year." she flashed her ring here, quite proud of how it caught the light. "One of the more younger teachers on the team, I'd say. It's my first year here, and very nice to meet you, er..." she trailed off. Gosh, people needed to start telling her their names more.
"Anyway, my name is Freija Kiraiian, or Miss Kiraiian to you, sir. Depends. I'll be teaching general magic mastery this year. And though it definitely seems like a hurdle to overcome, I think we'll do just fine."
Blinking over at Victor again, she added "And if you were referring to my friend here, well, I suppose it's open invitation, eh? Perhaps the one time of year we get to sit where we please, but I'm not sure how this school works. Perhaps all banquets will be like this. Regardless, students can very well mingle with teachers, like you're doing right now. Actually, on that note..."
Her ears perked up a little as she noticed someone across the hall gesturing towards her, or something like it, whilst talking to someone else. The same two lads sparring from earlier. She gave them a curious look before turning back to Beaux with a smile and a softer whisper so not many could hear but him.
"Congratulations. You're the first person ballsy enough I've met at this school. Everyone else is ridiculously quiet or distant, something or the other. It's nice to meet you, definitely."
