Ascot tried to follow Belle's lead, he really did. But, as he was expecting now, the enemy girl bound him and his Thief companion with bonds of Matter - Matter being a provisional term for whatever, well, Matter the enemy had bound them in. Either way, Ascot was frightened now, and everyone was reminded that he was a 13-year old kid, despite his strengths, strengths that he had overrelied on. As 'Fear' slowly slipped her swords into their bodies, Ascot's life flashed before his eyes. Was this the end? He had never been so frightened before; in fact, few things had ever frightened him before this. As 'Fear' established her dominance, two faces flashed before the boy; the first one was Xayama, the beautiful Nobody, and the second one was...Oner. The young Paladin was cowed, completely cowed, as Fear removed her blades from the group's bodies, causing a slight flow of bleeding from their chests. Then, she took Belle's Mist Dragon - great, the Matter Master had another weapon. For a moment, fury filled the boy, but not enough to overcome his fear. instead, as the girl went away, he focused on curing himself. Then, the CoDs opened and took them back to where Joshua was. "Joshua! Oner!" Ascot shouted, his fear suddenly being shaken off by the sight of two of his friends, the strongest members of the group, having been beaten, while Jake continued to fight the Elven Girl. But, the boy still retained enough prescence of mind to listen to War; enemy though he was, his advice was good. But, still, Ascot was shaken, shaken by the events that happened. "What's the point?!" he finally questioned. "What's the point of delivering the Multiverse from destruction by the Six Senses if we're just going to give it to an even worse group? What's the point of doing what good we can if we're just going to give the worlds to a worse evil, something that we cannot beat?" He was shaking now. "Sorry, sorry for sounding like I've given up, but, even so, what's the point..." He was crying now.
