Francesca stood near one of the windows, staring out. . . Listening to music like she always did. It was a need for her at this point, wasn't it? The music keeps her from going berserk. . . She at least wished that was what it was. The voice would come back then . . . Francesca shook it off and lightly sang to herself. "I wasn't dreaming when they told me you were gone," Her thoughts mellowed. The music was a nice calming peace to her despite the lyrics meaning. She continued the song a bit before stopping. She really hadn't made herself aware of her surroundings at all, so she took a look back. Nothing too amazing really. It was a little crowded, sure. . . Though one thing she would admit was the more than usual amount of faunus. She hadn't been expecting as many as there were and that fact alone made her feel a bit uncomfortable.

Still, Francesca thought she shouldn't do anything to stand out more than usual, so she decided to sit down. . . Next to a small girl with blue hair. It was mostly because it seemed rather empty near her. "I'm going to sit here." Francesca told the girl who, aside from her general size had outlandish hair color. Not many could actually pull that off. She was going to wait for a response, but the girl didn't look like she was going to say anything. . . Maybe she didn't even think anything really, her face didn't show much. Still, basic formalities did not escape her even in the. . . Oddest of company, "Francesca Stahl. A pleasure. . ." She said to the girl, taking the seat next to her. For this occasion even, she took out one of her earpieces, in case this girl did decide to vocalize thought. The stray earpiece lightly sounded what the girl was listening to, "...the pages are torn and there's no final chapter,"

Just when she was almost asleep, something thrown Schwarz out of the limbo by some loud - although not quite bad sounding - music. Her eyes snapped open and a barely audible hiss escaped her lips. Looking over to the dource of the noise, she first noticed the blunette didn't appear to move at all, so she was not likely the source. She wasn't quite prepared for what she saw next.

On the other side of the silent girl sat another. Schwarz could only describe her way too skin tight and revealing outfit as an insult to proper women everywhere. Muting her own headphones, she leaned forward to get a better look at the stranger: "Excuse me, would you mind turning the volume down a notch?" She said with a smile that maybe betrayed a hint of dishonesty.

She wanted for this flight to be over.

It wasn't all that loud, compared to the loudness of the ship and everyone on it. Francesca was unpleasantly surprised when some random girl started to ask her to turn down the volume of her music. Maybe she just didn't notice the noise because it had been in her ear for a while and her ear just adjusted to the volume enough that the noise didn't seem noticeable. Her face was still stoic as she turned back to face the girl.

The girl didn't seem all too comfortable either. Maybe it was the annoying look on her face, though Francesca doubts it. "It isn't that loud. Perhaps your ears are a bit too sensitive." She pointed to the blue haired girl who's name she had yet received, "I just took my earphone out so I could hear this. . ." Hmm, what adjective to use? Odd would be an insult regardless of what the truth may be. ". . .this cute girl, if she spoke." She turned down her music anyhow, "There, I can barely hear it myself in the other ear, you should barely be able to hear it too. Happy?" Her face barely changed either, though she really was slightly irritated at this girl. Francesca wondered why. . .

Was disturbed, during her nap time. Her head turned slowly, tilting as she faced the woman, "Disturbance?" She said, angrily at the woman that was wearing a black, revealing outfit. She gripped her staff tightly, sighing, leaning against the woman in the blank outfit, snuggling against her she'd return, slowly back to sleep. The music didn't mind her at all she just didn't like ear wax on her ears, disgusting. She slowly drifted off to sleep, and would easily awaken if needed to.

They somehow managed to get turtle girl flipped back rightside, but apparently it would have been better to leave her as she was. Now she wanted to talk. And, of course, talking was fine, there was nothing wrong with talking -it beat getting shoved around downstairs, after all- but the wind up here was loud enough that Coral had to strain even her Faunus-sensitive ears to hear whatever was being said. Something about not being aerodynamic and his name being Esther.

Or, rather, her name, likely, what with a name like Esther. Not many males had that particular name. Unlike Gerald. That was a very male name, certainly no confusion there.

"And I'm Coral!" she yelled over the wind, figuring that getting introductions out of the way without people having to ask might result in people not asking, which was always good. When they asked, they generally also expecting to shake your hand, and if you decided that you didn't wish to do that, it turned very awkward, very quickly. Though Esther had already brought the awkward to the party, it would help no one for Coral to make it worse.

Esther realized it was rather loud with the winds blowing. Conversing would be hard out here, but then again it wasn’t as crowded as it was inside. Coral was it? Hey, it works because she’s an octopus Faunus, and coral are found in the ocean, I get it Esther thought, mentally trying to escape from the need to be social at the moment. I guess Sheldon would work for a turtle, because SHELL-don, but then again that’s a terrible name and Esther is just fine.

There was a rather too longer pause most likely made by Esther, something that happened rather too often when you add her to the mix. She felt rather bad for anyone who had her on a team. With a mental shrug to this thought, Esther shouted, “So yeah, you guys excited about going to Beacon? I’m kinda nervous myself. High standards and whatever, you know?”

Esther wasn’t sure how she passed the entrance exam. Surely is was luck, and knowing her, it’ll run short pretty soon. She’d probably end up falling asleep during initiation and get mauled by an Ursa or something. If it wasn’t that, it would be something, Esther didn’t have very high hopes for herself all in all.

Khalis was still eavesdropping, but now kind of regretted that he wasn't able to see this. A turtle-like person actually falling over and incapable of getting up. This was both hilarious and interesting, although he didn't know how it would affect the person. He decided instead to slither away silently, so as not to disturb them any further. He realized that wouldn't be a problem as the trip was ending soon. The screen that displayed the countdown had reached roughly 5-6 minutes, causing many sighs of relief from nearby to erupt. Guess the agitation and anticipation was getting to them all.

Suddenly, the screen flashed red and orange, with the message "BREAKING NEWS" slid across the screen. It had grabbed his attention, as it had most. The screen then changed to the news reporter from before, who had been explaining about the recent Faunus uprisings. "It has come to our knowledge that Lieutenant Alder, trusted member of General Ironwood's Faction, has been missing for the past weeks. The local authority and even members of the Faction are clueless as to his whereabouts." It showed an image of Lieutenant Alder, a man with golden brown hair combed back, a strong confident face, and obstinate brown eyes. "The local authority are asking for any and all cooperation in determining the location of Lieutenant Alder. In other news-" Khalis didn't care anymore. It went on about some guy Torchwick and the Faunus revolution. He didn't really care much, just an occasional update on stuff was fine.

Glancing out the window, they had almost arrived. The screens had changed to Glynda Goodwitch, apparently a teacher at Beacon, but Khalis's attention was still focused on the outside. Finally... Beacon. A grin spread as he imagined his future days in the academy, which seemed just within reach. A moment later, it seemed, and the ship landed, some poor blonde fellow couldn't hold onto his lunch for much longer and made for the nearby trashcan. Khalis was tempted to laugh, but it seemed the poor fellow was already going through enough hardship. Now there was some opportunity to explore the school grounds.

"Thank you." Schwarz said, her smile turning a bit more genuine. Getting into an argument before even landing at the school probably wouldn't be the best start of things. Just as she was leaning back to her seat, the mass of blue hair finally came to life with a single word, apparently being denied sleep as well. Schwarz wondered whether to go 'I told you so', but thought better of it. Then Blunette decidd to use Barely-clothed as a pillow, and she ahd to fight down the urge to take her scroll and make a picture for future blackmail material,

Finally getting sort of comfortable again, she grimaced as Beacon came into view. Rolling her eyes with a hiss, she turned her attention to the screens that came to life. A misplaced officer, a thug, aaaaand finally something that was of inerest to her. Taking in the teacher's words, she got up and headed for the exit.

Once outside, she took a deep breath, letting her lungs enjoy the fresh dose instead of the thick atmosphere of the airship. Her mood went a notch up in an instant and she headed to get her luggage. She only packed her own posessions, leaving behind everything that was bought with her adoptive parents' money.

Shuffling towards the school building, she hoped to store her two suitcases quickly and find some dark corner where she could let her wings loose without any of the faunus hating halfwits seeing her. Then a loud bang echoed through the area. Schwarz's head turned towards the source, and her face twisted in a half amused, half angered grimace. The sight of Weiss Schnee covered head to toe in ashes was something she would savor for a long time. The less pleasant thing was said heiress was now angrily walking in her genral direction.

"Miss Schnee." she nodded her greeting. They have met a few times, at some of those rich people celebrations or receptions, and Schwarz will never forget the looks her wings got. The heiress stopped, trying to look more composed: "Miss Nacht? It's a pleasure to meet you, even if a bit of a surprise." The pleasure, if there is any to be had, is all yours. "Likewise. I suppose neither of us was entirely happy at home." She received a thoughtful nod, followed by dusting of a skirt: "Uh, please excuse me." About time. "Certainly." Schwarz said, lifting her own luggage and moving on with her day.

"Can't say I'm not." Gerald admitted. "I'm just... well, amazed this is all just happening, you know? Half the time I expect to realize that this is all just a dream." In all his years, falling to the absolute lowest of the low in the eyes of the society and consorting and fraternizing with some of the most disreputable people in existence, Gerald would never have dreamed that he would have been able to start climbing his way back up again. Yet, here he was, attending Beacon of all places. He was amazed that he managed to get in without a transcript - that they accepted people from all walks of life.

Being outside, Gerald did not see any of the displays but he heard all of the announcements - from the news all the way to Glynda's speech. Hearing the hunt for Torchwick, Gerald allowed himself a small chuckle. He would not claim to know the man by any stretch of imagination, but he would confidently say that he knew enough to figure out that that man would not be caught easily.

Feeling the Airship touch down, Gerald felt the air around him calm down and let out a deep breath. "Well then," he said to Coral and Esther, offering the idea of them getting off the ship together, "Shall we get going?"

Francesca almost scowled at the complaining girl as the blue haired girl seemed to come to life, "You were asleep then. . ."

"DIsturbance?" The girl somewhat angrily said as she seemed to grab the staff she had with her, before leaning against Francesca and falling back asleep.

Francesca was not sure what to do. A random child fell asleep on her. She'd probably feel bad about moving now, now that the girl was leaning on her. She decided to just let the girl stay there for the time being. She wasn't doing any real harm as it was. . . That was, until they reached the academy landing. It would be bad to leave the girl there so she decided to wake her up, "Girl." She said as she poked at her head. "We've arrived at the academy. Wake up." She moved the girl a bit so she could get up to make sure her belongings were in order. In the end, Francesca decided to stay around to make sure the girl got up and left. It was more of an interest at this point. She found someone who exuded less emotion than herself.

Easily awakes, sitting up, grabbing the staff that had leaned on her while she was a sleep. She stood up looking towards the woman, staring at the exit then pointing at it. At the moment she didn't felt like walking, more like sleeping for the rest of the day but she wanted to explore Beacon as well. She nodded, walking towards the exit, exiting she looked up into the bright sky and which almost blinded her. She shrugged, yawning taking a few steps forwards so other students can get through. The wind blue softly, her hair slightly following the flow of the wind. She stared at the school for a moment taking in the loneliness, she felt empty without her parents around her, to guide her through the problems. She felt like frowning but her body didn't seem to respond. She walked on slightly tugging on her backpack as she walked towards the entrance of Beacon.

(Remember! Alyssa is not wearing her battle clothing. Shes just wearing a green coat, black skirt, white shirt, black leggings, and convers shoes.)

He sighed and then took a deep breath. None of the birds were coming today. Maybe he did something wrong, maybe pissed them off. At least he wasn't covered with shit(correct usage, btw. Just like a female dog = bitch) this time. The incident happened a little while ago and it took several days to get the smell off. He shuddered a bit at the memory.

Putting the leaf away, Kael decided to stand towards the wind, thinking of what the future entails. What could Beacon do for him and how it would change him. Why he was there. In fact, his instructor was the one who practically threw him into the hands of Beacon, not wanting to deal with his "great" student. After spending several years there...he took a few breaths to banish that though not wanting to think ill of him. He had taken Kael in when nobody else did. Taught him things to survive. Even found out his ability. What a shock that was.

He began to reminiscence about the past, trying to think of the many mistakes in his life, examine them. That is when some of the students who had come outside were beginning to go down. At least, he would be left alone to his thoughts. Taking this rare chance, he pulled out his short swords, and started out in a pose. Taking a deep breath, he slowly began to move in a pattern, swinging his swords in precise patterns, making it look like his swords were more than just a tool, they were a part of him; it as if he were dancing. In the middle of one of these movements, he swept his arms together and connected the hilts together with a twist. He pivoted his left foot and brought the bladed staff into a swing that would cut a man in the waist. Not wasting the momentum, he moved his body as well and brought it down to smack a weapon to the ground. He then pitched his right foot out to kick his imaginary enemy. He began to move into a different stance and began to mock fight against a enemy.

After spending a unknown amount of time, as he lost track of the flow, Kael finally reattached his zhen onto his belt and straightened out to stand up correctly. There was sweat flowing down his chest, but it was slowly evaporating. His hoodie hid the fact he had done a extraneous amount of work, but it could be noticed on his face. He descended down into the inside of the ship and saw everybody had already departed or were. He moved his way to the luggage area and began to sift through, trying to find his stuff when he remembered he had brought nothing, but himself. It was if a enormous weight was suddenly placed onto his back. He tumbled to the side and caught himself on a seat. He reached for his heart with his right hand and closed his eyes tightly.

Taking a few moments to reassert himself, he moved to get out and saw a girl with a slight bulge in her back, carrying two suitcases. He decided he might as well do something when another female somehow combusted and became covered with ash. Kael frowned a bit at this, wondering what moron had done something or if she were the moron. Fire was always something to be careful around.

Moving on ahead, he saw that the girl was carrying her two suitcases away. Mustering up his courage again, he moved forward and tried to talk to her, but he kept on stammering.

"H-H-He-Hello-Hello there, ma'am. Can I help yo-yo-you with your bags?"

(Trust me, it really sucks to have this happen. I have had this happen to me a lot at my former and current jobs.)

Briefly stopping to look at the map of the school building to find out where she should put her stuff (And where she could be alone unseen until they were told where they'll sleep), Schwarz was about to continue when she was approached by someone. The offer of help surprised her for a second and made her wonder whether it would arrive if she was presenting her wings, but decided not to look into it. "That would be lovely, thank you." the faunus smiled, handing over one of her suitcases.

"It shouldn't be far, although I'm a first year so I'm not really sure where I'm going, sorry." she apologized sheepishly, the red eyes scanning the man in front of her. If the stammering was any other indication, this one was harmless enough to hang around with. "So, do you like animals?" She asked out of the blue. It was her favorite question to ask when meeting someone new, as she could guess where she would stand with people. Her question used to be 'Do you like birds', but when one day she received 'I'm allergic to feathers' as a reply, she thought better of it (after putting some distance between herself and the person).

Grabbing a hold of the suitcase, he lifted enough where there would be no chance of dropping it unless he were to trip or lose strength, an event that would not happen for something so lightweight.

"You are welcome. My name's Kael.Kael Lordonos. I'm also a first year here, so I guess we are in the same boat." He looked from the ground, a place his eyes always seem to be focused to see her eyes. They were a ruby red, a color he liked. His were a kind of brown that complemented his red hair.

Refocusing onto reality, he recognized he was asked a question.

"Animals? If you were to be on the outside of the airship, I was trying to call some birds." Reaching down into his left pocket with his hand, he grabbed out some berries.

"Animals have always been one of my stress relievers. I always carry some small snack for the animals, or at least, i offer something." He noticed the distance the girl made by taking a few steps away. Recognizing that she may be anxious, he began to talk a bit more calmly and in a more relaxed fashion.

"How about yourself?"

Khalis watched as person after person departed the ship. He was leaning on a nearby tree, gazing from a distance. Waiting for something fun to happen, but alas nothing occured. This was boring "Too boring..." He said to himself, eyes narrowing. It was time for him to get down to work. But first, he had to find the right victim, and not only that but decide the perfect set up. Such was Khalis's way of doing things, and he wouldn't want it any other way. Cracking his knuckles back, he thought he had found the target, a little girl with blue hair in ponytails on either side of her head. So young. So tiny. So innocent. Perfect timing to introduce her to the cruel world that was reality! Taking one triumphant step, he began to wonder how her would go about and ruin her day-

He stopped. Then slowly turned the joyful walk into a calm and quiet pace, the smile vanishing, widened eyes narrowing into a dark glare. He then took on a thinking position, one arm upholding his other by the elbow, the other holding its hand over his mouth. No, this is bad. I don't want to get expelled on the first day. He began walking with the rest of the students. The little girl somewhere behind him, unfortunately for his mischievous habits. All of these people are complete strangers to me, and I to them. If I already start dishing out some of the jerk moves I have bouncing around my mind, I'll be permanently labelled as a problem, bully, and possibly looked down upon by even the staff.

He let out a heavy sigh, now slightly depressed. "This kinda sucks..." He passively blurted, walking slower than the rest. And of course, making friends on the first day was kind of a problem too, considering they may be split up from day one. That, and the best way to actually make friends is by almost complete accident. Although it didn't look too bleak. They were being forced into groups anyway. Although that was also bad news for him, considering he couldn't get along with much of anybody, even at his old school. "DAMMIT THIS SUCKS!!" He shouted causing all eyes to turn on him, but he didn't care. Why was it only him that had to actually think about every single possibility in the future?? Why was he the one cursed with premonition of pretty much everything?? Why did everything have to be so predictable?? He was cursed, all right. Cursed with boredom.

Schwarz turned just in time to see him produce some bird food from his pocket. Her eyes got a gleam in them, following every tiniest motion of the hand as if it was a hypnotiser's pocket watch. Her arm subconsciously started to lean forward intending to pick one, but the girl came to her senses in time and stopped herself. Schwarz's head spun around quickly, tossing her black locks in the air as she hurried to hide the pink in her cheeks. Come on, Schwarz, bird food? You aren't that easy. she thought to herself.

"Uh, sorry, I was taking a nap on the ship. It was a bit windy outside. I'm Schwarz Nacht." she introduced herself slowing down to allow Kael to catch up. "I come form Vacuo, although I spent most of my life in Vale. Oh! there we go!" she pointed, seeing the storage room that was reserved for the freshmen. Dumping the bags inside and saving the locker number on her scroll. "Soooo, do you know anyone here? I've been home schooled for the past two years, so I can't say I do. There might be some former classmates from Signal here, but I don't know if they'd even recognize me." she shrugged, reaching behind her back.

Freeing Swansong from the magnetic holster just above the tails of her jacket, she looked at the swordwand with reverence. Aside form food and shelter, it was the only thing she was truly grateful to her family for. That and the best tutor money could buy. Even then though, she still sometimes wondered how was she picked to attend Beacon. Passing the entry exams under the extra scrutiny because she didn't graduate a lower grade combat school was difficult to say the least and she firmly believed she nearly didn't make the cut. If not for her semblance, she probably wouldn't have made it out alive.

Elrios smiled as Beacon appeared on the horizon. He was finally here, he had worked so hard to get to this point, and he was going to make sure that he going to take full advantage of this.

Elrios stood up and picked up his cannon from the floor, holding it over his left shoulder with one hand. Once the ship had finally landed Elrios was on if the first off. Taking in the scenery around him, he watched as other students walked off there ships some overjoyed, exited, others were frowning, like they expected more. Elrios shrugged, that was not his fault, if they did not like Beacon, they would just have to wait until it started.

Elrios walked around staring in awe at the new school that he would live in. Elrios eventually found an empty bench not to far from the bench. He sat down and took if his cannon and then started to work on it. He had nothing else to do, he would just have to wait until the initiation started, that was when the real fun would start.

"I can't say I do either. I never formally went to a school. I was trained by an old warrior for close to...." He trailed off, trying of think of how much time he spent with his old mentor. For the life of him, he could not tell. He began to chuckle a bit, surprised he never considered this question before. "I actually don't know how long. I cannot remember anything else other than waking up one morning and training with him."

Kael began to laugh again, amused at this thought until he remembered why he went to the warrior's hut and would live there for years. He stopped then, his face starting to become grim. He shook it off and put on his smile again.

He then pulled out a handful of berries and offered them to her. "Thank you for the chance to talk, Schwarz Nacht. I hope to see you around."

the girl leaned against the wall and folded her arms on her chest, listening to Kael. It appeared that most everyone coming here had a story. Schwarz figured it took a special kind of person - with a few screws loose to be exact - to even try to be a hunter or huntress. "Likewise," she said when the guy looked like he wanted to be somewhere else, "and please, just Schwarz. Thanks for the help!" She purposefully avoided setting her gaze on the hand as she doubted she would be able to restrain herself. and her pride would have to first suffer a debilitating injury before she allowed herself to behave like a little girl that was being given candy.

Her mind drifted along those lines. It wasn't she was hiding her wings purposefully, but it couldn't hurt keeping the act a while longer, right? If she manages to make at least some friends - perhaps her future team if she lives to be a part of one - then she might share that and maybe who she really is. But for now, she decided to play hide and seek, hoping those who would recognize her would keep their mouth shut. Focusing her attention elsewhere, she noticed the place was quite a point for observing, probably only beaten by the roofs. The landing area was a mess of people trying to sort themselves and their luggage out by now, and she was glad she was one of the first ones out. Her theory only gained points as she was some people that at least looked interesting. Kael who as far as he remembers have been fighting, or so he said. The 'thug' from before, with the high contrasting colors that could be seen from a mile away. Another one shrouded in a hooded cloak. A huge gun that she figured had an user attached to it somewhere. The ever silent Blunette and cold Barely-clothed. And of course herself, a runaway from home.

Where did they find these people?

“I suppose,” Coral replied to Esther’s query as to her excitement. She made sure that her voice suggested the opposite of what she said. She had worked hard to get here, after all, and finally seeing the place for real, and not just in pictures or holocaust, was something. It certainly was far more impressive than things back “home”. If those barbarians could see her now… but of course, they couldn’t. That would have completely voided the whole reason for coming here.

Was it a dream? Well, other than the fact that the others were questioning if it were (did your own hallucinations question the existence of your dream reality?), she could see how it could feel that way. It had been a rigorous trial to get this far, and now all they had to do was walk down some steps, and they’d be in Beacon proper, ready to become hunters and huntresses.

The ship touched ground, and a subtle shock rippled through its frame as it came to a well-practiced stop. The pilots were pretty good this time. Gerald asked if they should go, and Coral gave him a look that said “No, really? I came all this way to stay on the ship.”

Instead, she said “I suppose” and made her way back down the stairs she’d just ascended a few minutes ago and struggled her way through the crowds. Oh, wait, shield girl would take a while to get through. Coral considered for a moment. She could go on without them, and perhaps attach herself to some other group. Or she could go alone and try to figure out what she was supposed to do on her own. Or she could wait a few minutes for the crowds to clear enough for cumbersome and awkward to make her way down. The last one sounded like the least bother, so she leaned against the off ramp, casually stretching her legs, since she hadn’t really gotten the chance to do it on the upper deck since she’d been up there for such a short time.
