"Dammit, Alaira!" Meirin tried in vane to stop the fire from spreading. She always knew Alaira was a bit unhinged, but was she trying to kill them all?! How was this even suppose to be remotely helpful? Meirin did a quick movement to blow the smoke out of their faces, but she couldn't do that more than once before she started coughing. Fighting the flames was pointless, but they could still escape with the caravan. Meirin followed the tracks and got onto the bridge, only to see that the bandits were still there and they were now in a much more precious situation. At least before they had a fighting chance, but now the bandits threaten to cut the bridge if they don't give into their demands. Ssarak relayed a mental message suggesting to give into the bandits demands and they try to kill them afterwards, but of course, Alaira was a loose-cannon. She vaulted over the bank under the assumption no one would see her burst out of the fire, and tried to pull the bandits down. All she succeed in doing was cutting the last rope keeping the bridge up. Meirin had to act fast, at least fast enough to fix this mess. She knew little to no magic that could save the rope, but she could still use her body. Just as the rope split Meirin grabbed onto it, and than reached out to grab the post it was tied to. Using her own body to hold the bridge up she could feel her body ripping apart from the weight, but she held together. For now. "GO! GO ACROSS THE BRIDGE NOW, DAMMIT!" Meirin screamed as tears begin to form across her body.
