Struggling through holding the rope, Meirin didn't relax even when Ssarak and Darius came across. She certainly didn't when she saw something sneak out from behind the caravan. At first she thought a bandit might have sneaked onto the cart, but what she saw was much worse. "Lyn!?" It was Mar's and Athalus's child, of all things. She seemed to have come out to help and managed to manipulate the ropes to holding together. This allowed the caravan enough time to get across and Meirin let go, ready to leave as well. But than she saw Lyn fall. Worse, she saw from afar that the fire was now eating the ropes. Meirin wished she could have taken the time to talk to the others about what she was going to do, but they really didn't have time to talk. Despite the pain, Meirin ran out to pick up Lyn. As the bridge was falling, Meirin was unsure if she could make it. She did something so stupid, it might have topped what Alaira did. Meirin threw Lyn towards the solid ground, off the bridge and hopefully to safety. When the bridge snapped and fell, Meirin could only think that somehow, someway, she was going to have to survive this. If not, that at least she dies in her hope country.
