Hard to put on a number on people who voted for Obama because of his ethnicity, but here in Detroit I knew two categories of people personally in my friends group who voted for him and one of those were those who "really really wanted a black president no matter what his views", though to be fair the other half of those I know who voted him were "liberal whites attending college".
