Zane looked at the little demon before him as a man with a goat head walked past....."What...the....hell...." He was going to have to get over it and took of in the direction that Charlize did. Entering the class room he sat down towards the back. As he didn't want to get to close yet. Charlize had taken a seat in the middle but didn't want to sit that close just yet. There was also another girl in the room along with the goat man. She seemed to keep to herself and for all he knew didn't notice him or Charlize come in the room. He had heard the goat speak which he now knew as the teacher of this class. To himself he spoke, "Yeah I have to be going insane. The last three months I have been in a coma...yeah that's it a coma." Again questioning his sanity for the hundredth time in the past three months. Well even if this was a coma he might as well enjoy himself and go along with it. He then started to pay close attention to everything in the room and made sure he was aware of his surroundings...that was until his stomach rang out in the room telling everyone that he was indeed very hungry. Out of embarrassment he didn't say anything just sat there now bug eyed

Katherin tilted her head. She wondered what he was talking about. "Hello again Mister Fiery. I would assume that he is a goatman, but I don't know. Seem like an odd appearance to waste a spell or illusion on." She told him honestly. She would never waste a spell with something so pointless but she knew that there were people who would so it was hard to say. Maybe the teacher was vain or maybe he just liked making students nervous.

"Mr. Fiery and Ms. Frosty, that could catch on." ~Like hell!~ I swear Fairy shut up! Wow we have robots in here too? I wonder what she can do, she seems nice enough. I never met a robot in person. I wonder where the rest of the class is? All these demons, we're going to learn about. "I bet this class is going to have some fun mishaps. I mean with a goat for a teacher we should have a bahhhh time! ~What the fuck was that!~ Hey stay out of this. ~Whatever...~ "Hey after class, you wanna come with me and watch me try out for Jimber. I mean I don't know why I have too, I'm good at all sports?" ~Oooh! Someone's full of themselves.~ You're really pushing it.

Synn was the last one in class. He walked in slowly, several minuts late, and noticably so. He took the last empty seat, which was conveniently close to the door, then looked around for familiar faces. First his eyes fell on Its that damned robot girl again. Another year in the same class here we come then the hothead from last night. And it appears he wants to be on our team. afterwards, his eyes found That girl likes the cold toomuch. Ugh what a drag and everyone else in the room. Silently sin judged each one, and synn began to agree.

10 minutes ago, somewhere in the mountains near the school...
Unbeknownst to all, a lone figure ascended the peak of yet another mountain. He was a strange sight to see, a man with a cane and a top hat as well as mirrored sunglasses standing on the very top of a mountain. He had no climbing equipment, no backpack or anything of the sort. He seemed to be empty handed besides the cane in his hand.

A thought came to his mind, a thought that had dominated his mind the day before, and yet again engulfed his attention.
Where am I?
He was lost again. He had overshot the school in his photon form the day before, but when he tried to go back the way he came, all he saw was mountains. A few hours afterwards and he was still hopelessly lost. He decided to try to find the school on foot, but that hadn't warranted any more success.
Screw it, I'll just go search again. he thought. A flash of light, and he was gone.

By the time Kayleb reached the school, he wasn't even sure of the date, the time, or how he got there. But he wasn't sure about those details when he got lost in the mountains yesterday. Or was that two days ago? Kayleb trekked up the hill and saw the school's entrance. He was pretty sure this was the right school, as there weren't any other schools around the mountainous region. He was also sure it was the school because it was very large and was pretty impressive. That being said, he'd been wrong before. Kayleb scratched his head a little and looked around. There sure weren't any students around. If his calculations were correct, he'd arrived at the day of opening and yet there was no one to be found. Maybe he did get lost again and ended up in the wrong place. Though he doubted that there were many large buildings in the mountains of Norway.

Kayleb thought for a moment, standing in the snow. He'd taken a boat to Norway from Russia, managed to escape customs, brought some tasty fish and started walking towards the mountains. At the time, he didn't know where he was going but he figured he'd get there eventually. He'd asked around and some old people seemed to know the place. He'd gone on the trip a month earlier than the opening day. If he arrived early, he figured he'd freeload somewhere and it'd be fine. But he'd been separated from those old people and gotten lost a while ago. Kayleb didn't bother counting the days because he figured that he would get there sooner or later. He'd been lost for an inordinate amount of time in the mountains teleporting here and there and (hopefully) getting closer to the school. Now that he stood at the entrance, he didn't know whether to go in or not. This was a foreign country, after all, and he wasn't sure how someone wearing a hoodie and tracksuit pants coming in from climbing a mountain would look to whoever was inside. On the other hand, it was kind of cold and he was getting pretty tired. Though, he was always tired... A cold wind blew and Kayleb shivered. As he shivered, piled up snow from his shoulders cascaded down his body. Kayleb was surprised at how much snow had accumulated on him as he stood there. And it was starting to get fairly cold. That was that. Kayleb hugged his Saydie, his rabbit plushie, and went through the entranceway.

Kayleb walked through a cobblestone courtyard, cold air hounding his steps. His runners made a light crunching sound, stepping on the snow. A particularly strong wind tickled his nose and Kayleb let out an almighty sneeze. Wiping his nose with almost-unfeeling fingers, he hugged Saydie tighter and walked faster. At the end of the courtyard, he spotted a large ornate door, which was closed. He supposed that that was the entrance and hurried along. Upon reaching the door, however, he found that it was locked. Wonderful. Kayleb knocked loudly but was not graced with a reply. Kayleb sighed, summoned a blanket and huddled down in the doorway. The wind skirted around the doorway but refrained from entering it with it's cold fingers. This brought some respite to the tired and cold Kayleb who was quite tired from an ambiguous number of days walked. He sighed as he sat down, Saydie in hand. He supposed he would just freeze to death. Then again, he could just teleport into whatever was behind the door... But whoever was in there might not appreciate him just appearing there. He leaned back and closed his eyes. Yeah, they really wouldn't. Even if it was the supernatural school he'd heard about, he wasn't exactly on time. And if it wasn't, he'd be intruding onto a rich person's property. And he knew how touchy rich people were about their property.
But it's cooooooold!
Kayleb's eyes snapped open with a jerk. Saydie had been so silent that he'd almost forgotten she could talk.
Come on, KayKay! Let's get inside already!
Kayleb rubbed his eyes.
'Saydie... I told you to call me Kayle.' He said quietly, in case anyone was listening. 'I'm not even sure we're in the right place.'
But it has to be! There aren't any other buildings around here!
'We don't know that.' Kayleb countered.
Doesn't matter! I'm coooooold!
'We can't just teleport in there without a reason!' Kayleb told her.
We have a reason! I'm freezing! You're freezing too! And it's not like you haven't done it before! Sadie whined.
'I was like, 7 years old!' Kayleb objected.
And now you're 17! Time sure flies by, huh?
'Alright, alright.' Kayleb sighed as he caved in.
Come on, come on!
Kayleb stood up, strecthed, and prepared for the worst. He'd probably be reasonably fine because the distance probably wouldn't exceed 5 meters. Even so, he'd screwed it up a lot before. Suppose he screwed it up again...
Come on, Kayleb! Get inside! You'll freeze! Saydie warned him.
Grumbling slightly, Kayleb closed his eyes and imagined himself in his surroundings. In front of him was a solid door and behind him was the courtyard. What Kayleb wanted was to be behind that door, away from the cold. He imagined himself to be behind the door, planting his feet on solid ground and standing like he was right now. The signature tugging in his gut told him that it was possible. Kayleb intensified the feeling and it grew stronger. He could see himself coming to the place behind the door. Just as the feeling reached it's peak, Saydie's voice pierced his mind again.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING JUST STANDING THERE?! Saydie's voice boomed.
'Saydie!' Kayleb said in panic. Saydie's voice had disrupted his calculations and he desperately tried to cancel his teleportation. Thankfully, he wouldn't teleported into a wall or anything (probably) but he didn't know where he would end up. He snapped his eyes open and a bright light signified his teleporting had begun. He squinted against the sudden rush of light that was ever present during teleportation. A feeling of weightlessness and movement, and suddenly his feet found stable ground. With the feeling of acceleration stopped, Kayleb almost tripped but broke into a roll instead, intending to come up to his feet which instead made his back thump into the ground.
'Ow' Kayleb said, his back throbbing.
Kay! Are you alright!?
'Yeah, I'm good.' Kayleb groaned.
He sat up hoping he didn't teleport anywhere he wasn't supposed to and came into the vision of a grown man with a demon arm who looked not as perturbed for someone who just had a 17 year old kid teleport into their room should be. If that guy had a demon arm then he must be part of this school. That meant he was at the right place. But even if this wasn't quite atypical for a school, it would make for a lot of explaining, and this he summed up in 3 sentences.
'Um, hi! I'm Kayleb. I think I'm new here.' He said, giving a small wave to prove his honesty. His school life was beginning spectacularly.

I didn't know it was physically possible to screw up so badly. Alphonse thought as he plummeted through the air. Well, I guess anything's possible if we can have a demons, shamans, and a sentient being made entirely of light.

It had only been about 10 minutes after he had decided to search again, and he'd somehow ended up on what seemed to be the other side of the world. He was pretty sure that Norway didn't have a tropical climate. Maybe climate change had really done a number on Norway, or he was just really lost.

He had been in the alpine region where the school was supposed to be, but he thought he wasn’t in the right place and had started travelling again. He decided to go around the world a few times and see where it took him but he still couldn’t find the school. In the end he had decided to pick a random direction, turn himself into light and reform at random intervals to see if he was in the right place. A few trips later and he’d ended up in demon territory somewhere in the tropics.

He had killed a few demons but then their fallen angel leader had come out, he fought it and in the middle of the fighting he had apparently destroyed some kind of important religious monument because then the native shamans and warriors started coming after him. He dispatched them but they had enough time to cast some serious weather magic that created a massive tornado that spiralled him to the other side of the world and into the side of a mountain that looked awfully familiar.

Goddammit. He thought. He picked himself off, dusted off the snow and sighed. Sometimes I hate my powers. The worst thing of all was, he still didn’t know where he was. Nothing for it I suppose, guess I’ll have to climb a few mountains.

A few mountains later and he still didn’t know where he was. A few more mountains after that and he realized he’d been going in circles. He was still back where he started.
“GOD, DAMMIT!!” He screamed in frustration. He angrily burst into his photon form and disappeared in a huge flash of light. If light could look angry, that flash would’ve been furious. He flew in random directions, mentally kicking himself for his stupidityhe wasn’t getting anywhere by doing this and sitting down and thinking would’ve been the best idea. He stopped in a random place without really looking and turned back into his physical form. He sat on a nearby rock and tried to think of a way to find out where exactly he was.

“Stupid mountains, they all look the same.” He muttered angrily to himself. “Why can’t they be different colours or something, they’re so hard to tell apart!” He looked around angrily, to try and vent on the mountains or something but he realised he wasn’t in the mountains anymore. He was in some sort of forest. “Where am I now?” He asked disdainfully. He decided to climb a tree and take a look. The sight that greeted him was: Just a whole bunch of samey looking trees with some more damn mountains in the background. He cursed under his breath. Why did everything look all the same anyway? It was as he was pondering this while sitting in the tree that he saw it.

“Is that…” he said. He wordlessly pulled out a picture he had in his pocket, a picture of his destination. He compared the image in his hand and the structure in the distance and he knew he had found it. He had found the Academy for the Gifted. “IT IS!” He exclaimed, “HELL YEAH!” He was so excited to finally be where he was supposed to be that he accidentally shifted into his photon form and shot quickly upwards. “Oh, whoops.” He quickly realigned himself and started rapidly travelling downwards, straight towards the school. It was so close he could practically taste it! The ground quickly rushed towards him and then he realized that he had forgotten to start turning back into his physical form. The photons that made up his body bounced straight back upwards, rebounding off of the solid surface of the courtyard.

Panicking, he quickly changed back into his physical form, his bright flash filling the sky, only to realize he was still 100ft off of the ground and falling fast. If he shifted right now, agitated as he was, he was probably going to end up in the stratosphere so he let himself fall; all the way down until he could see below him clearly. Luckily for him, the courtyard below was empty so that meant no one was at risk of splattering under his body. But that wasn't his only concern.
Did I make the mass right? Did I make my face right? Is my top-hat still there? Wait. Is this going to hurt?
He didn’t know if he’d formed his body properly, usually he omitted the part of the brain that feels pain but perhaps he hadn’t. One way or another, he was going to find out.

His back collided with the paved courtyard with an almighty crack, the force breaking many of the tiles around him. Sharp bursts of pain raced through his body.

God, dammit... He said to himself weakly, and then he passed out.

When you spoke of being bait for a killer, it brought a flood of memories from when I was six. My were parents were cut down and I was next." Red had many a thing to attend to, dealing with a killer and emotions would prove difficult. Breathing deeply, she got up and walked over to her lesson plans. Reading over them she decided to change this weeks schedual to a written assignment.

Kayleb's initial greeting brought no response. The demon armed man was in front of a painting or sketch of some sort which depicted a fearsome looking demon. There was also an unknown woman there and the 2 had seemingly just finished their conversation.
'Uh, I'll leave you alone then...' Kayleb said, getting up slowly, as he prepared to teleport.
After all, he really shouldn't be there (probably). Kayleb had no idea where he was but he knew the direction he teleported in and envisioned himself going back to that direction. The tugging feeling returned and thankfully, Saydie didn't interrupt his concentration this time. Kayleb rode the teleport tunnel and stepped into the courtyard, landing successfully. It was a few seconds before the cold got to him.
'Ueh' Kayleb yelped in surprise at the cold wind chilling his spine.
Cold! Saydie complained.
'Sorry.' Kayleb said, crossing his arms over Saydie in a bid to keep himself warm. He seemed to be near the entrance of the courtyard.
'Looks like I overshot.' Kayleb said, shivering a little.
Kayleb turned around and encountered something he certainly didn't expect. A man with a top hat was sprawled on the floor but what was stranger was that the floor under him was cracked. Saydie gasped as he saw it.
It's a dead body! She said in surprise.
'Calm down, Saydie. I don't think he's dead.' Kayleb said.
But, he must have fallen, like, 100 feet or something!
Kayleb supposed she must be right, but there was no blood and the man looked like he was just unconscious. And if this was the magic academy he had heard of from the old Chinese man he'd been living with for 4 years, then falling 100 feet with no damage wasn't impossible. Kayleb decided that he couldn't be sure if he was dead. And what's the first thing you do to a guy that might be dead? Kayleb did the thing that anyone would. Kayleb went up to the top hatted possibly-a-dead-body, squatted down and poked his side.
'Um...' Kayleb said, poking him a few more times. 'Are you okay, sir?'

As Kayleb poked the body, the 2nd headmistress Issabella walked out with a class of hunters behind her. She saw the two, and turned, tell her clas to wait. Then she aproached.

"Welcome" she said, eyes upon the boy poking the possibly dead body. "Judging by your scent, you must be a student. Then she looked at the body. "Did you do this?" She asked. She notted the tophat, and how nice it was mentally, before returning he attention to Kayleb.

'Uh, yes! Hi!' Kayleb said in surprise, getting up quickly. 'I mean, no, I didn't do that. But I am a student. I think. Probably.'
The woman who came out from the school was very pretty but she was pale. The group behind her appeared to be armed and the woman herself had a large bow strapped to her back. Judging from her recognition of Kayleb as a student, she was one of the faculty. Maybe she was a teacher, judging from the group of what appeared to be students. And if the woman was a teacher and the students were students, then he was in the right place. Good. However, did he come at the right time? Knowing him, he'd probably arrived late and judging by the fact that he judged the teacher to be teaching students, classes had already started. That meant he was anywhere from a day late to a week, probably. But he wondered if a guy passed out with a top hat and aviators on a cracked floor was weird even for a magic school.
'My name's Kayleb. I think I'm new here.' He said, introducing himself. 'I just found this man passed out here. Is he alive? He doesn't seem to be moving. Um, is that weird? Oh, and what's the date today?'

Ah, I screwed up. Alphonse reflected. Well, at least I’m here now.

Pain wasn’t exactly a new experience for him, but first time it happened he had stubbed a toe and at that point he had firmly resolved to never feel pain again. Now he’d felt 100 feet of downward force impacting on his back and now he remembered what his first pain was like. Passing out was a new experience for him too, because he’d never been able to pass out before because his body wasn’t prone to that kind of thing usually.

It had felt decidedly liberating; a few seconds of intense, unrivalled agony and then you stopped feeling it until you woke up. Maybe it would be nice to pass out once in a while. Actually, if he had to take enough pain to pass out every time he wanted to it would probably suck pretty badly.

I should go check if I made my body alright. He decided.

He silently focused on himself and ran a sort of diagnostic check on his physical form. As far as he could tell, he’d made his flesh correctly, his bones were in the correct place and he only had the organs he needed to use in the right places as well. None of it was damaged from the fall because any damage his body sustained was as if it was inflicted to pure light. He didn’t actually know how to make his body take damage, but he knew how to make it feel. He just had to add nerve clusters here and there, add the brain to process the input, and boom. Human being, ready to go.

After the first incident with the stubbed toe, he had been in intense pain and he really didn’t like it. He had researched pain and found that a part of the Hypothalamus governed it. He had immediately removed it and was satisfied when he could kick the wall as hard as he liked and only felt no pain.
He would remove that part of the brain again when he reformed himself after he checked his appearance. A handy part of his power was that he could see himself if he focused a little bit. He had a short checklist in his mind for this kind of thing.

Top hat? Check. Coat? Check. Scarf? Check. Aviators? Check. Wait, where’s my cane gone?

Looks like he’d forgotten to make his cane, but he supposed it would've been a few feet in the courtyard right about now.

Guess I’ll start…

He started to focus, and he imagined how he wanted to be in his mind.

I should probably stand up as well.

He added it to his mental image. He readied himself, and let his photons go. A few seconds and a flash of light later, he was back on his feet, pain sector removed, cane in hand and a satisfied smile on his face.

Excellent. Today might just end up being a good day.

Then he noticed the people. He didn’t notice before because he was focused on himself, but there was what appeared to be a tall rabbit obsessed guy, a woman clad in animal skins leading a group of hunters and every one of them was looking at him. That flash of light always did attract attention. With any other action being out of the question, he did what he always did, when first meeting new people in that manner.

“Greetings! My name is Alphonse Alloré, and I am the new teacher of defensive manoeuvres for this year. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”

"Well, you are only a day late. Today is the 15th day of 4th moon (fancy way lf saying april 15th around here). " the headmistress answered the first two questions, and just as she was about to inspect the body there was a bright flash, and he was suddenly staning. She squinted and her forearm rose before her face, but none the less, she had been flashed. "No i think he is alive" she said to the student.

The tophated teacher spoke briefly and she responded accordingly. "Well, professor Allore, or Alphonse. Whichever you prefferre, scho ha started. Your class isnt scheduled until later today. Perhaps you should join me an some of our senior students for a hunting trip until then." Then she diverted her attention to Kayleb. "You, should be in Mr. g's classroom right now. It just began. Ill write you up a pass, and ill have a teacher meet you at the front doors of the main building to show you the way." With that, she ripped off a piece of leather from her already short skirt, and bit onto her thumb, right into the big vein. She smeared a tad bit of blood onto the leather an handed it to Kayleb as a hallpass.

"Go along now" she said before leading her class and Allphonse into the forest for hunting. Many of the senior students with her watched the whole ordeal wide eyed.
Meanwhile, in Mr. G's class...:

Mr G. Revieved a telekinetic message from Issabella the 2nd headmistress. "A student is comming in late. He has a pass. Be ready for them. You may start class immediately."

Kayleb stared after the pale teacher and the teacher with the top hat, the bright light's traces in his eyes. He looked at the strip of leather he'd been given.
'Thanks, I guess!' He called after them as they left.
Did she really just smear her blood on her skirt and give it to him as a hall pass? Then again, there was that top hat guy's light show to think about. But after seeing the demon arm and hearing the kind of rumours coming from a place like this, Kayleb had already cordoned off an area in his mind that he labelled as 'magic stuff', to which he entered the 2 events that just unfolded. Must be magic was the thought that Kayleb would get used to quickly in a place like this. Kayleb shrugged it off as magic and seriously stared at the 'hall pass' he'd been given. Even if it was magic, smearing blood on a piece of your skirt you just tore off... That's pretty interesting. And Kayleb figured he'd see a lot more interesting things before the day was done. Kayleb started grinning in anticipation.
Kayleb! You're grinning like a crazy guy! Saydie said, interrupting his thoughts.
'What, really?' Kayleb said, covering his mouth in an unsuccessfully bid stop grinning. 'I might be crazy.'
I don't want you to be crazy! I hate it when you're crazy! Saydie said, a not of panic entering her voice.
'Hey, Saydie-' Kayleb started, realising he'd reopened old wounds.
I don't want you to be a crazy guy! I don't want it to be like last time! If you did that I-
Kayleb hugged Saydie for a few seconds, resting his chin on her head, calming her down.
'I know Saydie. I promise I'm not crazy.' Kayleb said, grin long gone.
Really? Saydie asked.
'I made a promise to you, remember?' Kayleb reminded her.
The 2 made a promise all those years ago, after an incident that Saydie and Kayleb hadn't managed to get over yet. Even now, Saydie was still worried.
'It's fine. Even after all this time, I still can't say I regretted what I did that day...' Kayleb said, a dangerous glint in his eye.
Kayleb...
'It's fine. Breaking the promise I made to you is something that won't even happen when hell freezes over. So don't worry.' Kayleb said, releasing his hug and putting his hand on her head. 'We're siblings, right?'
You know I hate being pet. I'm technically your older sister. Saydie pouted. But the fact that she let the topic go meant she forgave him. Kayleb chuckled a little as his grin returned.
You're still grinning like a crazy person.
'Alright.' Kayleb said, slinging Saydie into his hoody. 'Let's go find that teacher that the pale lady mentioned.'
With that, Kayleb crunched through the snow towards the large door and where awaited his new life of magic and education.

Ah, she must have been a headmaster. Alhponse thought. He had heard a brief description, but the efficiency in which she resolved the situations was astounding. Well, what would you expect?
Before coming to the Academy for the Gifted, he had been told a few things about what to expect. He was told to expect snow, he was told that the student death toll was unusually high in the previous year and he was also told a little about the headmasters. He was told that one of them was a lion man with a vast array of lethal weaponry, one of them was an immortal huntress and the last one was a mysteriously immortal dark arts lady. The woman in front of him was probably the second by all descriptions.

That student though... He thought suddenly, following him with his eyes. He looks slightly unhinged... I guess I might check up on that later.
The tall rabbit must have been a new student here. Judging by the fact that he was as late as Alphonse and that he looked like he'd just woken up, a common factor in many students he'd come to teach over the years. He decided to worry about all that later, after all, the hunting class was already leaving and he didn't want to miss a chance to get to know the headmistress better. Oh, and hunting was always good too.
