Okay, I did this for me, to throw things in perspective, but I'm posting it here so everyone can see. This is assuming that everyone who has applied will eventually join the rp:

Character Head Count:
Ryland – 19
Travis – 18
Michael – 9
Dot – 12
Luanne - 12
Santa – ???
Ivan – 26
Holly – 28
Callum – 11
Kate – 28
Selina – 27
David - 22
Logan – 32
Irene – 19
Remiel – 18
Cael – 32

Hospital Group:
Ryland
Travis will (I think) head there.
Holly, is not yet there, but will head there.
Cael will head there.
And I think Michael will also apparently be there.

Pharmacy Group
Dot
Luanne
Kate
Selina
David
Callum

Off on their own:
Logan
Remiel
Santa

All remaining:
Michael
Ivan
Irene

I think the Hospital group will have a nice division of the ages. And I think Holly would be a pretty good leader for them, though that's just my opinon.

The age gaps between the group my characters are in are little more black and white. It's like big people group + small people group. Which I'm not complaining about too much, except that as native NY'ers I'm not sure my characters are qualified to lead a group of people, when there are other native Arkansas characters available to do so. I'd be glad for my characters to participate in strategical decisions, or decisions that require an "adult touch". We could work well if the kids (who I assume know Jonesboro well enough), work with the adults. But I honestly believe our group could do with some more adult characters native to Arkansas.

Just to make it clear though, I'm not saying the kid characters are incompetent. I just never really liked the way Carl's attitude in the walking dead is portrayed as on par with the adults, or how somewhat overpowered he is for a kid from the very beginning. Which is just my honest opinion. I'm not hating on him (I don't hate Daryl and I know that mothertrucker is OP'ed as god knows what), I just think its kind of a fault to have a bunch of kids who were formerly used to having someone take care of them, all of sudden grow up in a few days....??? But I mean, what does everyone else think?

I think the thing with Dot and Luanne is they PRETEND to be a lot more competent than they are. Their weapons were from their father's gun cabinet and they don't really know anything other than food = survival. It's like those preteens that act "mature for their age", when really it's just trying not to seem incompetent in front of the adults.

Thank you so much Strawberry for putting that together. It puts things into perspective for some that have been asking me for locations and stuff. As for the adult/kid dynamic, I agree. We need parents to keep the kids from losing themselves in the ease of just killing for whatever they want, as well as keeping them on the right path to survive and not make possibly rash decisions. So, I wouldn't be opposed to either creating another character for that reason, to go with the pharmacy group...or accepting another character for that reason from someone else.

That seems pretty solid to me. Sound like a reaction a lot of preteens would (and do have irl), but especially would have given the stress and magnitude of the situation. I just don't want our group to end up weird, you know?

No problem :) I think my characters could somewhat fulfill the parental role, especially in preparation for their own little one. It is really the leader roles that I am most worried about. As I said, I think they're apt enough to help make group decisions, but I don't think they've reached far enough in their characterization, or had enough previous roles (especially considering they had jobs where neither was the head of their profession as yet), to be apt leaders, especially in unfamiliar territory.

Agreed...Mikey is prolly more shell shocked than anything...and he really isn't going to even try to unlock the door even for the most kindly looking people, mainly because scared of zombies.

Name: Shannon Callahan
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: (the fact that you told me not to almost instantly gave me the initiative to shove "Human" right here.) Caucasian.
Appearance:

Clothing: A red suit shirt and black pencil skirt that hangs above the knees to start with - as she worked a secretary internship/part-time job.
Equipment: Nothing entirely beneficial, a mobile phone - and stationary like a pen.
Weapons: None.
Bio/Background: Shannon is still a baby to America, having travelled from Dublin in Ireland about a year ago with her mother. She has no idea who her father is (he wasn't there pat her birth) and her mother has given her no other excuse than he just wasn't there. She was a simple student at school until her mother had a car accident and became paralysed from the waist down. Shannon therefore had to try and manage her own education and their house's income by trying to work at the same time - so she took up a part-time job in the hospital where she was paid; though not a lot. When the outbreak happened, she was still at work; and has been unable to leave. Her main objective is to guarantee her mother's safety (as she's still home) and keep them both alive.
Occupation Pre-Apocalypse: High School Student; Part-time Hospital Intern

Also would a collaborative post between Xenonia, Shisa, Apoalo, and me, or at least me and Apoalo be beneficial right now. I don't want my post to be too short, and I'm not sure how Apoalo would feel about me just swooping Callum into the pharmacy and continuing on.

Also sorry I can't go in Chatzy. I'm a little busy. My cousin's parrot just got sick...and we're trying to see what we can do for his comfort until they can take him to a vet... :/
