Before he could kiss Skylark, Edge realized Sleipir was coming out of his shell. Hurrying over to him, Edge gently moved Skylark to one arm. Holding him in the crook of one arm, Edge gazed into Sleipnir egg and lovingly carried him out. With one child in each arm, Edge smiled. They were so adorable. He could see Path's genes in them. However, his joy didn't last for long. Sleipnir looked about six, but Edge could tell he would be very, very handsome. Edge saw the child's eyes. But for some reason, he didn't care. For the first time in his... um... lives, Edge realized what a stunning color violet was. Especially when Path's golden eyes reflected in them. He smiled and kissed Sleipnir on the top of his head. "I love you, Sleipnir ... I'll always love you..." Skylark felt the attention drifting away from him. Suddenly, he opened his eyes. They were a very, very light, translucent violet color. It was slightly different from Edge and Sleipnir's. He felt something strange. It made him feel hot, and - He didn't like it. Whining lightly, Skylark wrestled out of his father's grip and hugged his back. "I love you more than Sleipnir , daddy..." He whispered, squinting from the lights. Edge chuckled. "Well, I love both of you." He then scooped Skylark back up so he was next to his brother. "Come on, you two. Let's go meet Father." Calling Path mommy wouldn't really make sense. As he hugged and kissed the two happily, he wondered what Path would do. However, the smile on his face cracked when he got to the bedroom. The sheets were strewn, and Path was nowhere to be found. Edge's grip on the kids faltered and he stared blankly. Did Path... leave...? "I think I love Daddy." Skylark whispered to his twin.
