Adolin Sinnet made his way through the thick crowds, whistling a tuneless melody that only he could hear as it was washed away by the vocal uproar of the jubilant festival. Every street was packed with bright symphonies of troupers' music mingling with the laughter of the townsfolk, and yet, the air felt heavy. Though he managed a calm demeanor with his soft gazes and warm smiles at passerbys, his eyes were alert and his thoughts critical. But the festival was a sight to see; a grand pandemonium of drunkards, sweet delicacies, and pure fun all rolled into this very night. Lights flashed with various colors by the flames of the performers and vibrant music filled the ears of all who was present tonight. Adolin even bought himself a sack of roasted honey-nuts from a stand operated by a generous old man, who happened to 'give' them to Adolin 'for free' when he wasn't looking. Icy eyes were alighted with mischief as the man indulged himself to the snack, his lips curling with delight at the taste. But as he turned the corner, the air grew heavier still. Out from the crowd stood some ominous folk that seemed to be making their way across the center fountain of the plaza. As he and they crossed paths, Adolin flashed a polite grin at the blue-cloaked men who just mindlessly shoved him passed him with stoic expressions. Damn these rude bastards. They were the cause of all of this tension. So, with a genuine smile still gracing his lips, the sly man walked forward for another three seconds before turning on his heels in a subtle flourish, blue eyes glinting with curiosity as he followed them back towards the plaza.
