Zaya was surprised to say the least, but she was young enough to know talking animals were real, they were in all the stories. Not that anyone had ever told her a bed time story, but she had listened underneath the windows of the children in town around bedtime."Oww we are going to have fun playing little kitty!"Zaya started making her way to the edge of the fairground, the same quiet place she led that dumb boy.
The cat struggled silently, but was unable to escape from the girl's remarkably firm grasp. For some reason, the cat knew that this meant trouble, and not the kind that she liked. Looking around to make sure they couldn't be overheard, the cat said: "I know a great game, and I'm sure you'll love it." ---

While the little girl walked through the alleys of Travel's End, she was too preoccupied with the struggling cat to notice a minor change in her surroundings. Nothing remarkable to the mortal eye, but significant in the eyes of the Gods: she had been transported to the Realm of the Unlikely. Here, they wouldn't be overheard talking, and Vryad could unveil the plans to the little girl. ---
The cat noticed how the surrounings became slightly darker, and how the last remnants of celebration quieted down. The cat knew that she was back home now, and this was where things got interesting again. In a good way. For her. "You see, you have been invited to play a game with the other champions." The cat stopped struggling, but suddenly felt heavier. "A game that could tip the scales of power between the gods - if played correctly." Slowly, the cat began to grow in the seemingly shrinking hands of the little girl. "Winning the game holds no interest to me, although you are free to try." The cat became bigger and bigger, and started to become more sleek and powerful. Muscles rippled beneath short hair, and teeth grew to a fearsome maw. "No, the aim is to make the game interesting, to tip the scales in favour of whomever seems fun." From it's spine, batlike wings grew to a massive cloak, obscuring what was behind her. "I offer you the power to interfere in a game of cosmic scale. I offer you a chance." The cat's mewling voice had made way for a deep growling. "Leave behind your life of poverty, and truly have some fun." Before Zaya stood a creature that did not let itself be manhandled.
