Efthymia is a girl who values her independency; she hates being controlled by anyone and always stands up for what she whole-heartedly believes in. A fan of pop culture, she hates people who don’t like something simply because it’s “mainstream.” But what drives her absolutely crazy is liars as she is a fairly blunt person. Stubborn and argumentative, she is known for getting into debates and will not drop the subject until it is acknowledged that she is right. Politics are her calling, but she finds that no one understands what she is talking about so she prefers to keep quiet about politics. Efthymia is a big feminist and is all about equality; she would fly to the USA in order to attend gay rights’ campaigns if it wasn’t for the fact that she had no money. The Katsaros girl is intolerant to stupidity and makes it a point to educate ignorant people as best as she can. Efthymia prefers to think of herself as a realist and believes she makes “logical” decisions when in fact her decisions are based on emotion. She is very compassionate towards people and especially animals as she adores them. Efthymia tries not to stuff her beliefs down others’ throats, but she fails at times because of passion towards her ideals.

Efthymia was born in Heraklion, Greece, one of the largest cities in Greece, to Timandra and Sabastian Katsaros. Her parents owned a small store that sold beautiful pottery, but then it went bankrupt. At the age of ten, Efthymia and her parents moved in with her grandparents because they lost their house. When she was fourteen, she learned English so she could one day move to America. She is obsessed with American culture and tries to learn as much as she could. When she was sixteen, her dad was diagnosed with cancer and had to be treated. It was hard on Efthymia and she grew depressed and reclusive. Two years later, Sabastian Katsaros overcame his cancer and not much later, Efthymia came out of her shell.[/hider]
