The way Wikipedia describes it is "Slice of life is a phrase describing the use of mundane realism depicting everyday experiences in art and entertainment". Basically, there would be no bad guys (aside from, perhaps, bullies or mean characters), no fight against evil. Slice-Of-Life roleplays would basically be the characters going about their daily life, in this case as Hogwarts students going to classes, and would rely more on characters reacting with each other and character-based drama rather than any big, dramatic battle.
