Im not christian, but I am a Muslim and am a part of a small Islamic community, so I have some experience with being LGBT in a religious community. It's a rather odd split. The older, more conservative folk almost unanimously would be against such things, although its not uncommon for it to simply be an ignored fact that no one really brings up but keeps in the back of their minds. I am early in my transition, so I'm usually just grouped in with men, and I act the part as not to disrupt the order of things and cause conflict (though it always feels akward for me). I've found that younger people are usually much more accepting. A good friend of mine has always told me that in the end, my own personal relationship with god is much more important than what other people think of me.
