Kayleb walked back a little from the toilet and settled on the wall nearby. Leaning back on it, he felt a little tired. After all, he'd walked most of the morning and seen all sorts of stuff, and he really wasn't a morning person. The bandaged boy had given his name. It sounded like he said it was 'sin', but that sounds kind of fishy. The only way Kayleb thought someone would be called Sin was if their parents really disliked them or if they were really pessimistic and changed it or something. He sighed as he relaxed on the wall. It was probably spelt differently, then. Maybe it was spelt Syn, or Sinn or something. Either way, it was pretty odd, though he was one to talk. He yawned as the morning's fatigue caught up with him. He felt his eyelids become heavy as he slowly drifted to sleep.
Kayleb! You can't fall asleep here! Saydie interrupted.
'Oh. You're right.' Kayleb said, snapping awake.
'Alright.' Kayleb shrugged.
He spawned his office chair and his pillow on it. Lastly, he spawned a blanket and jumped on the chair. He tucked his legs into his torso and covered himself with the blanket. To the untrained eye, it mildly uncomfortable but Kayleb was flexible enough to make it work.
'Perfect.' Kayleb said, already going to sleep.
This isn't what I- Saydie started.
'It's fine.' Kayleb yawned. 'I'm pretty sure Synn, or Sinn or something, will wake me up when he's done.'
Well i guess, but-
Too late, Kayleb was already asleep. Saydie sighed and settled in Kayleb's embrace. It was probably reasonable to assume Synn would wake him up. He seemed trustworthy enough and was probably a nice guy. And it was only a power nap so he should wake up easy enough. So Kayleb settled in and slept, probably without anything to worry about. Probably.

Mr. G was quite surprised to see yet another feral beast apear in his classroom. Normaly, he would have summoned more hounds in a. Attempt to "win." But what was winning anyways? Being less beat up than your foe at the cost of more energy? Besides, this was a classroom. So, he watched the Feral animal rip his hound up like a chew toy.

"Well class! I think that about sums tiday up!" He says as hot blood sprays across the chalk board. "If you want to kill a wild or feral animal, you can distract it, and take advantage of its simple motions, or completely overpower it with a much MUCH larger feral animal. Ahh young man, headmaster Beast would be so proud to see this moment." As Mr.G finishes an dismisses the class, hell hound guts fly across the room.
Synn relieved himself and washed his hands to find... What the... Did he fall asleep that fast? well, synn wasnt one for waisting a grand oportunity. "Okay go." He says to himself. Then he allows his "buddy upstairs" to take over, and advance on the sleeping boy. One bandaged hand raised and extended towards the students neck. Dont kill this one okay? I just need information. he tries think to sin. His responce was "Ill try not to repeat the mistake I made in the restroom."
Headmistress Issabella looked back over her shoulder hoping to introduce the new teacher to dodo and Alastair, but was thoroughly dissapointed to see that he hadnt followed her. "Well, ill be back. I must find that new teacher. After all, there has been suspiscious activity on campus as of late, and i wouldnt want them to learn of it the wrong way." With that, she leaves the class, and goes back outside to seek out the other teacher. "PRROOOOFFEEEESSSSSSOOOOOOORRRR!" She calls out, using her magic to make her voice boom across the mountains.

Oh, Alhponse thought. The headmaster is looking for me.

Although he had just discovered a nice place to sit for a while, if the headmaster was looking for him, he didn't want to delay his return.

Time to return I suppose... He concluded.

He climbed a nearby tree and searched for the school. He found it easily, thanks to the fact that it was the only thing nearby. He was glad for that, he wouldn't have a repeat of this morning's disaster if he was this close to the school. He'd had problems with overshooting before, from above most towns looked the same as any other town. But it looked like it wouldn't be any problem while he was teaching at the academy.

Besides that, perhaps he should think about what he wanted the rest of the staff to call him. For his fellow teacher's he would probably prefer simply Alphonse, but he really like the way 'Professor Allore' sounded when the second headmaster said it. Still, he needed to head back now.

I'll just teleport for a little bit. He thought.

He gathered his will and focused a little. In a flash of light, he was in his photon form and already almost at the school. A bit of focus and another flash of light later, he was back in his physical form again. He had reformed two stories above the ground, but that wasn't a problem as he'd formed his body properly.

Ah, what a pleasant surprise. He thought. Incidentally, he'd landed right in front of the second headmaster. Twice in the same day... Ah well.

"Please, call me Professor Allore."

"PROFESORE ALLORE!" Headmistress issabella said with a start. "You simply must learn how to walk." She gave a small laugh, than turned, signaling for the teacher to follow her. "Let me show you to where your room shall be. Your office will be behind the classroom, and your bedroom above the office. After i show you to your class, id like to introduce you to a few other teachers, whom i expect you will work quite closely with." The headmistress took control of the conversation like she usually did. She gave the professor Allure verry little time to speak before they got to the class.

"Whatever you wish to teach, you may do so here. If you need supplies, or remodeling, simply inform myself or another headmaster."

Katherin shook her head as class finished. She wasn't sure that she understood everything that had happened. She grabbed her staff. She considered the little demon that they had been given instead of a book. Was she suppose to carry it or would it follow her? She wasn't sure. She decided to try putting it onto her shoulder and see what was happened. With the demon carefully balanced on one cpshoulder Katherin slowly made her way to the dinning room.

"Duly noted." Alphonse said.

Alphonse marvelled at the headmaster's efficiency. The efficiency of a hunter. He thought.

He also liked the way his name sounded when people said it, he realized. He'd been given a first name a long time ago, so long ago that he couldn't remember who had named him even though that kind of person would have been a significant person. He'd tried to remember some time ago but he found that he couldn't, no matter how hard he tried. The last name he had picked himself, because it was better for legal purposes if he had a last name. He had picked one that sounded good, and he was fairly satisfied with the result.

Hmm. He pondered as he walked. What are these teachers going to be like, I wonder?

So far, his experience with the school had been fairly limited. He still didn't really know what to expect from the staff or students. Still, he was pretty sure he could handle most things. Throughout the many years of his life, he'd travelled the world a few hundred times or so, not exactly on purpose, but he'd done it all the same. Over the course of his travels, he'd realized that the greater part of humanity was very ignorant about their own world. However, the academy was a different place where all are accepted. Who knows what he would find in this place?

The headmasters would. He reasoned. If there was anyone to ask about this kind of thing, it would be the head masters, and seeing that they had a little time he went ahead and asked.

"Should I be wary of anything while I am teaching here?"

Kayleb opened his eyes slowly and found himself staring at a clear blue sky. He sat up and found that he was in a field of flowers, a signature characteristic of one of his recurring dreams. One time, when he was a child, he'd seen a field full of flowers in a town that he'd visited on a field trip for the orphanage. It was quite an unorthodox thing, that field trip. yet it had made quite an impression on him. He enjoyed the array of colours in the field, the sun accentuating the scenery with a crisp, clear sky and a warm breeze. There hadn't been another summer like that in his life and he'd missed the scent of the place. He'd visited it again during his homeless days and was dismayed to find that it had been developed. To him, the flower field represented better days and he'd dreamed of it more often than not. it was quite calming and serene. Kayleb stretched, even though it was a dream, and sighed peacefully, relaxing back on his hands and staring at the sky. Almost every night, he'd sleep in a strange position and every morning he'd wake up fresh which he attributed to this dream.
'Kayleb!' A voice called, breaking his thoughts.
And there was the best part of his recurring dream: Saydie, in the flesh, as Kayleb remembered her, or a little older, running towards him. She was his only friend in the orphanage and even after they disbanded, her spirit inhabited his doll. He wasn't quite sure why that was, but it was reassuring to have Saydie beside him and he found out that she was in his dreams more often than not. That was probably a side effect of her telepathic powers. Nonetheless, it was reassuring to see her as she was before they separated. Her long blond hair reached her chest but was cut just above her eyebrows, accentuating her large brown eyes. If she was alive, she'd be around 20 but she had the body of a 9 year old. Kayleb chuckled slightly hardly believing that she used to be his 'big sister'. He had more of 'big brother' relationship now because she didn't age, really. He gave a lazy wave as she dashed up to him.
'You idiot!' Saydie shouted, body slamming Kayleb.
'Ugh!' He said, falling over suddenly.
Saydie got up and launched into one of her 'big sister' lectures.
'You can't just go to sleep in a hall! You're in school and you're already late! What are you going to do if a teacher finds you?!'
Kayleb started laughing at her words. He couldn't help it. The field of flowers and her presence elated him and he just found everything a little bit more positive.
'Don't laugh! This is serious!' Saydie said angrily.
'Sorry, sorry.' Kayleb said, holding his sides. 'It's just...' Kayleb burst into laughter as the pent up stress he'd built up over the morning escaped into the golden sunlight.
'Listen!' Saydie shouted indignantly.
Unfortunately, the hilarity of Saydie's 9 year old form lecturing Kayleb was too much and he started rolling in an attempt to stop laughing.
'AARGH!' Saydie said in frustration, tackling Kayleb to stop him rolling.
Saydie landed on his chest which made him laugh some more. Saydie pouted and headbutted his chest, angry at not being taken seriously. Kayleb was trying extremely hard to stop laughing. He suceeded in suppressing his laughter to a chuckle and finally settled down, a big grin on his face. Smiling, he put his hand on Saydie's head who was still on his chest. Flat on the grass, staring at the almost clear sky, he was at peace.
'Sorry,' Kayleb said, contraband laughs escaping from his chest. 'It's just been a while. I had too.' he said, still grinning.
'Stupid Kayleb.' Saydie pouted. She rose to a sitting position on his chest. 'Have you settled down now?
'Yep'. Kayleb responded on his back, still grinning.
'You shouldn't sleep in school! You'll get in trouble.' Saydie said, crossing her arms, signifying that she was still mad.
'Nah, it'll be fine.' Kayleb said, putting his hands behind his head and breathing deep.
'You shouldn't trust anyone! Everyone is creepy!' Saydie objected, lightly punching his chest. 'Pale lady is creepy, Bandage guy is creepy. Even the top hat guy is creepy!'
'That's mean.' Kayleb said, sitting up in his hands. 'They look trustworthy enough.'
'No they don't!' Saydie countered. 'You're too careless! You got into a lot of situations because you're too trusting!'
'Look, I got out of those situations, you know.' Kayleb protested. 'You know what I can do, you know I'll be fine.'
'But-'
'I know that I don't know what the people here are capable of,' Kayleb said, predicting her counterargument. 'But if there's one thing I'm good at, it's running away.'
'Alright, I get it.' Saydie said, begrudging the point. She stepped off of Kayleb and stood up to look down on him. 'But it's rude to fall asleep in school. The classes have already started.'
'Oh. Right.' Kayleb said.
'Well,' He said, preparing to get up. 'It's excusable, I guess. That Synn guy isn't in class either you know.'
'That just means you'll both get punished!' Saydie argued.
'It's fine.' Kayleb said, standing up and stretching. 'I'm legitimately late for school so I'm almost bound to get in trouble. It's surprising that pale lady we saw didn't give me a punishment.'
'Well, you're right...' Saydie started. 'But that doesn't mean every teacher is like that.'
'I know.' Saydie said, sitting down to be almost on eye level with Saydie. 'But I figure that if I'm day late then I deserve to be punsihed anyway. Besides, I promised to take care of myself and I'm sure I won't get punished badly.'
Saydie grumbled, like she always did when she lost a fight.
'You should wake up, anyway.' Saydie said, dodging the topic.
'Why?' Kayleb asked.
'Bandage guy will come back soon. And you're hungry, aren't you?'
'Oh yeah.' Kayleb said, noticing his hunger. he hadn't eaten all morning.
'Alright, I'll wake up. For hunger if anything.' Kayleb said, standing and brushing off his pants.
'One hug?' Kayleb asked, arms outstretched.
Saydie complied somewhat reluctantly and Kayleb lifted her off the ground in a tight hug before putting her down.
'I still don't know why you do that.' Saydie grumbled, embarrassed.
'Because you're warm and your hair is fluffy.' Kayleb said smiling.
'Be back soon, okay?' Saydie said, referring to his dream world.
'I will.' Kayleb said, Pulling his hood up as the scenery faded to black.
Saydie looked to the point that Kayleb disappeared as the dream started fading. She stared for a second and turned away, returning to her soft toy vision to see the bandaged boy's hand stretching towards Kayleb's neck. Saydie's anger soared as she thought of the worst.
Don't touch him!

As Synn's hand stretched towards Kayleb's exposed neck, Kayleb's own hand shot out of the blanket and grabbed Synn's wrist.
Don't touch him! Saydie's voice hissed in Synn's mind. Fortunately, Kayleb woke up.
'Huh? Oh.' Kayleb said, seeing his hand on Synn's wrist.
'Sorry, and thanks for waking me up.' Kayleb said making the mistake of believing that Synn was trying to wake Kayleb.
Kayleb rose and desummoned his sleeping gear. He let go of the boy's wrist and stretched. His stomach rumbled.
'Oh right!' Kayleb said, the rumbling bringing his dream conversation back into his memories. 'What's for breakfast?'

The question hung silently on the air for several seconds before the headmistress stopped to answer it. A worried look hung upon her face. "Truth be told... Yes. Unfortunately." She stopped outside of the garden, and told the new teacher of the unfortunate events that had happened last year. She ended by saying: "Even teachers didnt seem imune to whatever this mysterious murder incident has unfolded. The last 2 casualties last year were both teachers, and yesterday, on thefirst day of school, there was a rather brutal murder in a restroom. Worse still, it seems to be that the ither headmasters and I are the primary suspects." She turned to face the teacher, and placed a tanned hand upon their shoulder. If he was capable of feeling, the icy touch should be taken into mental note. She was colder than the snow to the touch!

"I must request of you as i have most of the teachers. Protect the students. They are the heart of the academy, and we cannot survive without them." After which, she put on a big smile and opened the doors to the academy. The smile was more for the student who may be overlooking on their way to breakfeast than it was the professor.
Synn was surprised by Kayleb's reaction speed, and quickly had to stuff his roomate deep into the bowels of his conscious thought. "Yeah dont mention it." He thought. Meanwhile, his emotionless eyes fell upon sadie. Now ive seen it all. Chuckie's talking wife is on campus. he thought to himself. Meanwhile, the palm of your hand bore BITE MARKS! Of all the things to recieve when grabbing a wrist unexpectedly, you got a bite! When you had grabbed Synns wrist, some of his bandages fell off, and a pink stretch of meat was visible. It was a tounge!

"Lets go. Its breakfast time. The bell rang while you were asleep." Synn started leading the way, when his curiosity got the best of him. "Where did you get the blanket from?" He asked without turning to face you. Instead, you noticed the wrist you had grabbed move. Thats when it became aparent. He had a mouth on his hands! Could that possibly be why he dresses so reserved? Could he be hiding his freakishly deformed body!?! What other deformations could he have that would give him cause to wrap the entirety of his body?!?!

'It's my ability.' Kayleb answered. 'I can summon stuff and make stuff disappear. I don't know exactly how it works, though.'
Kayleb was pretending that he didn't notice the mouth on Synn's arm. After all, he was covered in bandages and if his arm was like that, then it was reasonable to assume a lot of his body had that too. Due to the fact that it was hidden, Kayleb assumed that Synn didn't bring it up too often. So it was most likely something he shouldn't mention. It's probably magic or something, Kayleb decided. He also didn't want to lose a potential friend. That said, it probably topped his weird list of magic things for the day. 1. Arm mouth; 2. Blood-on-a-skirt 'hall pass'; 3. Some guy with Aviators, a top hat and a light show who probably fell somewhere around 100 feet and survived. But that said, he was hungry so it didn't really matter in the end. So long as he didn't get eaten or something (probably an insensitive thought). Walking towards the dining hall, he began to smell the delicious smells of breakfast. Several scents wafted towards him in an unholy mix. Bacon, Pancakes, Cake, Toast... Too many smells to count and the resulting concoction of scents was a smell to behold.
I wish you could smell this, Saydie. Kayleb thought.
Me too. She replied in his head.
Kayleb didn't directly speak to Saydie in public because she had telepathic powers and only he could hear her. He got some weird looks when he was homeless and some people tried to put him in a mental hospital. He ran away, of course. Sometimes it was a task juggling a mental conversation and a normal one, but he'd gotten used to it somehow. Turning a corner, Kayleb and Synn finally made it to the dining hall.
'Wow.' Kayleb said.
The dining hall was larger than most of the areas of the school he'd seen and it probably held over 1000 students. What's more, Kayleb saw so many different dishes, most of which he didn't even know. His stomach rumbled, reminding him of his plight. Synn's arm mouth ignored, Kayleb rubbed his hands together in anticipation.
'Time for food.' Kayleb said.

Wow. Alphonse thought. This school seems to have a problem.

He'd heard previously that the school had an unreasonably high death toll compared to even military schools. Apparently it had been that way since the schools founding, but if a headmaster was saying it was a problem, then the death toll must really be becoming a problem. There was also the fact that the headmasters were the most likely suspects for the increase in the death toll. He'd have to look into that later.

Death tolls aside, the second headmaster's skin was also unnaturally cold. It was the coldest hand he'd ever felt, he'd even felt some frozen corpses a while back when he had been stuck in the Arctic and those bodies weren't as cold as she was. The smile she had given, however, was surprisingly warm for her character. Even though he knew it was probably not for him, and more for the sake of the students that would've been looking onwards, he still thought it looked rather nice to see the second headmaster smiling.

It reminded him of a few times in the past. Some time ago, he wasn't sure how much time ago, he had once had friends in a place he no longer remembered. However, some way or another they had all died leaving him and someone else he'd forgotten alone. He wasn't told at the time, that his friends had died. He was told by the person he'd forgotten that they had to leave, and go to somewhere else. But he had found out somehow, that they had died. The smile the second headmaster was putting on for the students, reminded him of that person he'd forgotten. He was sure they were somewhat closer than friends, but he wasn't sure how close they were. He remembered it being similar to a parent-child relationship, but it was so long ago that he really couldn't remember it any more.

That aside, he could smell food, and delicious food at that.

Ah, he thought. Breakfast.

He didn't really need to eat, he was made entirely of moving energy really and didn't need any extra energy. But he could still taste, and breakfast was always usually delicious. Also, he was actually capable of digesting food but the energy he got from it always turned into excess light energy and leaked out of him. The phenomenon made him glow slightly, every time he ate.

Whenever he ate breakfast, he made sure to always eat bacon whenever he got the chance. It was probably the most delicious thing he'd ever eaten. Bacon was always good, in any place he'd been.

He headed to the dining hall, thoughts of a large pile of bacon dominating his mind.

As blood splattered across the board in front of them, Charlize couldn't help but raise her eyebrows. This year of demonolgy definitely was more active than the previous years. A bit unsettling in some way, but for the most part entertaining and eye catching.

Class was dismissed promptly afterwards.

Her eyes gazed around the classroom as her classmates scurried to breakfast. Charlize's study imp twisted around on it's bottom, lifting it's legs up as it did. A small chuckle escaped her lips, the imp was quite playful. It seemed this year was going to a be a breeze. "Come along little one." she cooed, as the imp vanished into thin air, traveling through the realms towards Charlize's room, where he would spend the time until the next class he was needed would occur.

Slipping off her seat, she pulled up her jacket and adorned it on her petite body. She buttoned the maroon coat up quickly and pulled up the dark fur ridden hood. In the corner of her eye she had seen that Zane hadn't moved quite yet, and decided against her better judgement to help the new guy out. Turning on the heel of her boot she placed one of her hands on his desk, the other firmly stuck in the pocket of her jacket. "I knew you said you were hungry earlier, if you want to accompany me to breakfast.." she paused, her eyes widening a little before continuing, "Or the least I can do is show you to the dining hall. You being a newbie and all." she laughed a little, as her hand that was placed on the desk slipped off and followed suit of her other and found comfort in her coat pocket.

"Well, you coming or not snow bunny?" she sang.

Turning on her heel once more and heading down the aisle and out the door of the classroom.

Zane had been wide eyed the whole time and wasn't sure what he had just seen but he was starting to get used to it. Class had been dismissed and Charlize had come to his desk. Oh umm yeah I am famished." He got up and looked down at the imp. "What to do with you hmm?" The imp took his hand that had the ring on it and examined it. He squeaked and licked the ring. Zane cringed but then went blank. Expressionless he took the imp in his hand and his eyes glazed over with darkness. Zane smiled at the imp and the dark goo began to cover it. The imp didn't scream or anything just accepted it's fate feeling the power was over it. The creature in the ring was assimilating living matter...this was new. Finally the creature dissolved into the goo and Zane now knew his first lesson. It seemed nothing could get passed what ever spell or enchantment was on it. Lessons would come to Zane through the creature inside the ring now. Very interesting. Zane's eyes became normal again and looked over at Charlize who was about to leave. He ran over to her and stood next to her. "Yes I shall accompany you to breakfast and I am so hungry that I am even going to ignore the snow bunny comment." He gave her a playful glare, but was ready to eat.

Synn lead the new student to the dinning hall, then, once their attention was diverted, snuck off. He quickly came back in a set of copper and red robes.his said "vice captain - varsity" on the back. He and several other people wearing similar robes stood in the center of the room.
Steadily and surely, students filled the grand dining hall. The scent of milk, juices, eggs, various sweets, bacon, and more filled the air. The morning sung was still peaking through the stain glass window, signifying how early it was. Once everyone was seated, beast stepped into view from the balcony. Above everyone, he cupped his hands around his mouth, and roared out for all to hear. His voice was so magnificent and low and proud, that no magic was necissary for it to be audible across the entirety of the room over all the conversations.

"GOOD MORNING! We hope everybody enjoyed their first classes! Let us make but a few announcements before releasing you and your breakfast to roam the campus and enjoy this fine morning! Please, if everybody will divert their attention to Headmistress Issabella for announcements!" The. Beast gestured towards the center of the room. There, headmistress Issabella stood on a small wooden platform, accompanied by the school's prized Jimber (please say i spelt it right) team.

"Hello and Goodmorning all! First announcement! Curfew has been extended for all students, including lower classmen! Lower classmen are allowed to be out at night, so long as accompanied by an upperclassman, teacher, or someone of greater authority! Upperclassman need only one escort who IS NOT a lowerclassman! Now, please give a round of applause for our award winning JIMBER TEAM!" She applauds expecting everyone to join. Most people do, seeing as many older studets are fans of the sport, and younger students simply joined the clapping.
Synn stepped before a microphone. His monotoned voice echoed through the hall. "We are excited to have another year here at the academy, as the pride and joy of the school, next to the many honored students who feast amungst you all today. Today and tomarow, we will be hosting tryouts at lunch, for any who feel inclinded physically or magically enough to join amungst our ranks. It is to our most humbled tone that we ask one especially brave individual to step up as the new varisty captain. As ma y of you know, Jimber Varsity Captain Blake Silver went missing last year. As tradition holds, the possition of captain will be open for tryouts. We also need 2 new beaters, and a guardian. Anybody who feels they may fit the parts is to meet out in the fields today and tomarow at lunch. Thank you." No applause followed the monotoned speech. Frankly, synn simply creeped most people out, and the ir focus was on his appearance rather than his speech. It was almost as if he had planned that though, as to issue a personal challenge to anybody who feare him little enough to try and compete with him for the spot.
After the speeches were done, cheerful winter themed music echoed through the dinning hall, as if by magic. The jimber team stayed upon their pedistal, to recieve praise, questions, or anything else the crowed may have for them. Headmistress issabella went to the teachers lounge hunting charlize down along the way.

"Charlize!" She shouted enthusiasticly as he found the robotic small female with Zane. Issabella gave her a daring look of aproval, and took each by the hand to the teachers quarters for breakfast. "How was yourfirst class!?! Is this your study budy? Oh who is your roomate this year? Charlize you simply must tell me where you find all your fabulous jackets! Is that new perfume! Zane was it? I saw your application, very unque way of entering the magic world dont you think? Oh what a marvelous little ring! You two remind me of myself and the very first headmaster, back in our youth. Only, i was a vampire who couldnt get pregnant so we ditched several classes and fu**ed like rabbits! Haha! Charlize can you get pregnant?" The barage of questions was on, and they only got wierder as the group neared the teacher's quarters.

Kayleb looked back and saw that Synn had mysteriously disappeared. He shrugged and helped him self to some plates of breakfast. There was a bunch of food he couldn't identify so he went for things he knew. That said, he ended up with a plate that had 4 fried eggs, 6 sausages and copious amounts of bacon in his right hand and another plate with 3 pastries, a banana, a bunch of grapes, an apple and several slices of cake on his head. His left hand was reserved for holding Saydie. Just as he was looking for a place to sit, Kayleb saw Synn in red and copper robes with a bunch of other students with matching red and copper robes. Maybe Synn was in some kind of position of power or something. As Kayleb was thinking, a booming 'GOOD MORNING!' echoed throughout the hall, almost making Kayleb drop his plates. He looked in the direction of the voice and saw a lion man on a wooden stage near the end of the hall.
A lion man! Saydie said in surprise.
'Yup, that's a lion man alright.' Kayleb responded, speaking aloud because he thought no one would care.
He looks so fluffy! Saydie said.
That's not what I was expecting you to say... Kayleb responded.
As the lion man went through some announcements, Kayleb tucked Saydie under his arm, took a pastry from his head and chewed it slowly, not paying attention and eating out of hunger and boredom. Something was said about first classes (which Kayleb had already missed) and a headmistress Isabella for announcements. His attention was brought back to the stage as the pale teacher from this morning walked to the stage. Didn't the lion man say something about a headmistress for announcements? Does that mean the person he met this morning was a principal of this school??? Lucky me. Kayleb said. He still had that hall pass she gave him which might come in handy later. That being said, he really needed someone to explain things to him. He needed a tour, probably (though he'd end up getting lost anyway so a map would probably do), and the the headmistress had just mentioned something about curfews. He supposed that the students couldn't exactly go 'home' from the large, mountainous region; but hey, magic. That said, he himself didn;t have anywhere to stay and one of the very reasons he was there in the school was because he didn't have a home. Well, he'd have to figure it out somehow. He'd probably need to ask the faculty or something. The old chinese homeless guy apparently had everything covered so he should be registered and they'd probably already given him a room. That said, he'd missed the first day so he didn't know his way around and he didn't know any of his classes. Well, he'd have to figure it out later. He was already on his 3rd pastry. Maybe he'd go get some more. Synn and his robed colleagues had also taken the stage with the pale headmistress. 'Now, please give a round of applause for our award winning Jimber team!' She said. Most of the students applauded as Synn and co. stepped forward and Kayleb did too, as best he could with a plate on one hand and one on his head. Jimber? What's Jimber? Kayleb thought. Synn stepped up to make a speech 'inviting' people to join the Jimber team. The way the Synn said excited in a such a monotone almost made Kayleb laugh from irony and his 'invitation' was more like a challenge since Synn was the vice captain. When Synn finished his speech, Kayleb clapped out of friendliness but no one else did due to his grim voice and people near him gave him strange looks. Kayleb thought it was pretty funny. As in the ironic kind of funny, because there was no way anyone would expect someone like Synn to have such a 'warm welcome' speech with that kind of monotone. But he tried it anyway and that's what made it funny.

Speech over, Kayleb looked around again for a seat. He could see the second headmistress head over to a girl and a bewildered looking guy. The guy looked a little surprised at everything going on. Kayleb supposed that the guy was kind of like him. A guy with supernatural powers with no idea what to expect of this school. With less composure. Kayleb mused. He seemed to be following the girl so she must have been a senior student. He would've said hi, but the pale lady started talking to them and led them somewhere where he wasn't sure they'd be back from. Kayleb shrugged, almost dropping his plate and looked for a seat.

Best. Idea. EVER. Alphonse thought.

He hadn't been satisfied with just a pile of bacon, he had had that countless times beforehand. But now that he was in a wondrous buffet such as this, a simple plate of bacon wouldn't do. He needed to raise his standards, a commoner's pile would not do justice to the veritable feast, right in front of his eyes. So he had gotten creative.

He had a field day, touring the breakfast buffet, and piled an assortment of goodies on his plate. He grabbed a waffle, 3 sausages, four eggs and a whooole lot of bacon. He put enough bacon to fill any gaps in his plate, then he layered a large amount of bacon on top of all of his food and finally another waffle on top. He also grabbed a tall glass of orange juice, his favourite juice, for after he finished his creation.

Firstly, he flipped a waffle upside down and piled some bacon on it. He used about a third of it, which was enough for 2 or three layers of bacon. He placed an egg on top of the bacon, then sliced his sausages and put half of one on top of the first egg. He then piled on another sixth of the bacon, another half of a sausage and another egg. He then mirrored the entire process to complete his Unholy Tower of Bacon.

There was probably enough cholesterol in that to kill someone. Maybe.

To finish it off, he poured some syrup onto the waffles.

Hm. He thought. I might have a lot of trouble eating this.

The Unholy Tower was about 10 centimeters tall.

I guess I could just change my mouth size, He mused. But I don't really want to flash the whole school here.

The only way he was going to get to taste the Unholy Tower in all its glory, was to crush it. Just a little bit. He grabbed another plate and tried to gently lower it and slowly press the Tower into a smaller size. He lowered the plate until he felt like it would actually crush the Tower and then he took the plate away. The Tower for the most part looked unharmed, but the egg yolks had splattered a bit and were running down the Tower. It looked like the Tower had been reduced to a size somewhere around 5 centimetres.

Success.

With that ordeal out of the way, it was time to test his creation. He picked up the Tower, mindful of the yolk and syrup dripping down together. He put it in his mouth and took a bite.

Holy. Shit.

It tasted exactly how he'd thought it would. The syrup contrasted and accentuated the meats and the egg, while the runny egg yolk magnified and amplified the flavour of the thick layers of bacon. His teeth encountered little resistance as it tore through the layers of the Tower, and as he chewed his mouthful, he could taste all the flavours combining into an unholy, delicious conglomeration of goodness. He eagerly chewed his mouthful, eager to get another. In but two short minutes, the unholy tower had been demolished and devoured.

Alphonse sat back in his chair, orange juice in hand, with a contented sigh.

Best breakfast I've ever had.

"Yes I shall accompany you to breakfast and I am so hungry that I am even going to ignore the snow bunny comment."

Charlize snickered letting Zane catch up to her stroll. The two walked side by side towards the dining hall just to hear the end of Beast's speech, and the beginning of headmistress Issabella's announcement. Charlize stood idle to the side of one of the entrances with Zane to the side of her. She found it rude to be moving around and clanking plates and silverware alike whilst the leaders of the school were speaking.

Rounds of applause erupted in the dining hall as the Jimber team was announced. Charlize had never been too big of a fan of the sport, but she attended the games as a support to the school. It helped that she had dated one of the players when she had first came here, but they didn't last long as Jimber was his main priority. Squinting her eyes as the co captain came up, Charlize found a bit of a surprise at the end of her gaze. The boy from earlier! "No wonder I had a sense he seemed familiar." Charli thought to herself as she listened to the very monotone voice of the boy speak about the death of their captain and that they have tryouts coming out.

Charlize turned and whispered to Zane, "Think you might give it a shot?" she questioned, gazing up at the boy from the side. As the boy finished his speech, the sound of one pair of hands clapping made all eyes turn to the source. Charlize couldn't help but smile- at least someone in this school could see through the curtain. Charlize joined with a loud, "WOOP WOOOP!" as the dining hall's winter tune sang out and the quiet room switched back to the loud and crazy bustle of breakfast time.

Before she had time to make a move, Headmistress Issabella had found her and Zane and was barraging her with the usual questions. "Good mor-" Charlize started before she was overcame with the exuberant voice of the headmistress. She decided to listen first instead as the two were taken by the hand and lead- no more like dragged, towards the teacher's eating area. "I'm sorry." Charlize mouthed towards Zane as Issabella rattled off the questions.

As the trio reached the lift, Charlize turned towards headmistress, and took a deep breath to answer all the questions from before. It might have been a challenge for a normal student, but because of her being an android, and because of her often occurrence of this event, it was only second nature. "First class went great, the new teacher is quite the entertainer- much better than Mr. D from last year. This is just some guy I tripped over and electrocuted this morning. I have no idea who my room mate is this year, I slept alone last night." she thought about saying something about the teacher in her bedroom, but decided against it, "My jacket I made during last year's summer break, after an old woman gave me some fabric from her shop. I don't have any perfume on, I must just smell good all the time!" she exclaimed, giving only a few seconds to herself to laugh before continuing on to her last statement, "I can get pregnant, and I can fuck like a rabbit too." she smirked as her hand dropped from the headmistresses hand.

They had reached the top floor and Charlize was off to find breakfast for herself. She grabbed herself a small pastry and a hot tea. She wasn't much of a breakfast person, but needed a little energy for herself so she could make it through the day until lunch time. With her small sweet in her left hand and her hot tea in her other she found the seat that she had taken from dinner last night, and made herself comfortable. Removing her jacket, and placing it on the back of her chair- she promptly dipped her pastry into her tea and took her first bite.

Not listening much to the announcements made here and there, as being a member of staff, Dodo was well aware of what was going to be said ahead of time...the machine elf had teleported into the breakfast area, though had gone largely unnoticed. Of course, he couldn't fault the others for missing his appearance, his shapeshifting utilised right made it oh so easy to hide in plain sight.

Splashing about, the red fruity juice splattering a bit on the stack of napkins to the side, Dodo let all but his head submerge in the sweet drink. Making himself small, and swimming in the punch. As a student approached, he ducked into the depths of the red drink and watched the ladle dipped and over him, brought out to pour the beverage into a glass cup. It was rather pretty, watching the light beam in from the surface, the droplets of the drink falling back into the bowl.

As the student turned away, Dodo surfaced and watched the youth drinking up with a grin. The youth seemed to finally give the glass a critical look, after downing the drink...before dropping the glass, his pupils expanding as he let out a slow 'woah', walking off in a dazed manner. Grinning a wide Cheshire smile, Dodo fountained out a little bit more of the drink from his mouth before teleporting out...and appearing under the staff tables, full sized, stick sticky with the red juice. Poking his head out from under the table, "Who here missed me~?"

In the freezing cold light of dawn, nobody would notice the young girl trudging through the white, cascading drifts of snow. Her dark eyes scanned the looming silhouette of the academy nervously, as the clammy fingers of fear clasped tightly at her heart, causing her breath to catch at her throat for the briefest of moments as her chest hammered with the exertion of the trip and the fear of that which will unfold in the coming months. Her breath was released in an icy, glittering cloud, as her boots crushed another foot of snow determinedly.

The large, ornate front doors creaked as the young girl pushed her way through them, and into the entrance hall. Another sigh escaped her lips as she purred from the warmth of the hall, quickly shutting the doors behind her to expel the cold draft that was gathering around her ankles menacingly. Her nose started dripping from the sudden change of temperature, but she was prepared; a white lace handkerchief flicked from her creamy duffle-coat pocket covered up her small, oddly flat-looking nose as the little lady blew upon it, folding it up neatly and slipping it into her pocket again.

She slipped off her large, thick leather boots and rummaged around the heavy leather trunk she had been dragging through the snow and the ice with much, much difficulty. Finally, after a few moments of careful burrowing did the girl find what she was looking for; a pair of little white laced shoes, which she slipped her porcelain feet into for use indoors. She left the boots by the door; nobody would mind, nobody would think to steal size four boots..They wouldn't suit a lot of people anyway. But this woman appeared to have white all over her; it wouldn't be hard to figure out what belonged to her and what did not.

As she drifted towards the sound of the cafeteria, she noticed a few other students dip into the doorway on her way; and as she entered, the most wonderful and inviting smell of breakfast filled her nostrils and caused her to stop in her path, glancing around the exuberant chatter of the hallway with wide eyes and a pale, thin hand pressed delicately to her chest. "Mon Dieu..."("My God...") breathed the lady, frozen in place near the entrance as she looked around at all of the wonderfully unique students and teachers enjoying their breakfasts.

Noémie was almost certainly new here, for one would remember her appearance if they ever saw her in their life. A long, flat sheet of white hair cascaded down her back to her behind, completely covering the back of her duffle coat like a veil. Around her neck were a string of pearls, shining in the warm light of the cafeteria. Her face was rounded and chilidsh, with very pale skin and the faintest hint of pink upon her lips. In stark contrast to her appearance were her eyes; so dark they were almost black in the iris, flickering around from face to face with a strange cocktail of excitement and overwhelming, paralysing fear.

She looked so out of place, standing by the entrance, unsure on what to do or where to go or who to sit with.

Kayleb, looking around for a seat, spied a student staggering near the punch bowl. He looked towards the punch and saw a head coming out of the punch, grinning. Even if it's magic, that's a little... Kayelb thought. He doubted any of the students would do something like that in public. He could say the same for most of the faculty as well; because even though magic, there had to be social standards somewhere. He couldn't figure out what kind of person would hide in a punch bowl and spike punch. They were probably at least partially unhinged, but no one seemed to mind except for the staggering victim. Kayleb figured that if someone so brazen was allowed to roam free, then he would probably get to know them sooner or later.

Kayleb shrugged and turned about, looking for a spot to sit. Looking at the door way, he could see a white-haired girl clad in white with white shoes and white skin. Some snow was melting on her shoulders and Kayleb was tempted to make a snow white joke but it would be lost amongst the sea of students. She stood there bewildered at the sight of the dining hall. Kayleb figured he would be too. So that meant that she was new, and judging by the snow on her clothes, she had just arrived. Huh. So counting himself, he counted 2 other late people in the school. There was that boy who was being led by that girl who was friends with the headmistress, there was him, and now there was that girl. Kayleb reserved the knickname 'Snow White' to tag her with until he got to know her better, assuming he got to know her at all. She must be in the same boat, arriving a day late, however. He kind of wanted to help her and all, but that said, he had a plate on his head and one on his hands and he wasn't getting any fuller. Kayleb waved at the girl in a greeting and looked around for a seat. He saw a seat that was fairly isolated, and sat 2 or 3 students away from everyone else. He put down his savoury plate, took the fork and knife he'd placed on it and began to eat. He usually chewed slowly and today was no exception, even though he was hungry. Kayleb had to chew and swallow his food or else he might choke. Worse, Saydie would lecture him if he tried eating to fast if he ate too fast and almost choked. And even if he choked and survived, he thought that she would probably lecture him anyway. Kayleb looked around at his surroundings. He saw Synn going to get some breakfast. The second headmaster was nowhere to be seen. The guy in the fruit punch was still there. He saw the top-hatted teacher eating a massive tower of waffles, bacon and eggs. Kayleb wondered if there was magic to lower cholesterol levels. He supposed there would be. He had no idea what magic was capable of.

On reflection, Kayleb had met some pretty important people that morning. He'd accidentally met the 2nd headmaster while poking a teacher's body. He'd seen another teacher after accidentally teleporting into their room. He'd also caught the imp of the vice-captain of the 'Jimber' team. whatever jimber was. He'd also seen more white haired people than he expected. His own white hair was fairly special so he didn't think he'd see some more. But the teacher whom he'd seen and the new white girl both had white hair too. Magic, probably. Kayleb guessed. Though, if it was something to do with magic, he'd expect to see some blue hair or something. Actually, on reflection, he was sure he could see some blue hair around the room. He shrugged, chewing thoughtfully. Whatever. Kayleb thought. He was having his breakfast, and that was all that mattered.

Alphonse put his glass back onto the table with a thud.

Hm. He thought. Gotta love breakfast.

He looked up around him and noted he'd finished his Tower fairly quickly. All of the other students and teachers were only halfway through, and he'd just demolished about a few inches of solid bacon. He'd also noted that his digestion process had started and he had a slight white glow, which was slowly increasing in intensity. In a few minutes it would peak, and stay like that for an hour or two. Then it would slowly diminish and his digestion process would finish in about the same time as a normal human.

Alphonse looked around the room a little noting some minor details. The second headmaster was nowhere to be found and it looked like all the students were in the dining hall.

That student looks late. He observed.

He saw a girl almost fully white except for her eyes which were almost pitch black. She had the look of someone in a new place trying to get her bearings.

She'll get used to it. He thought. Probably.

So far on his many travels around the world, he had found that unusual people had the easiest time adjusting to a new environment. In the Academy for the Gifted, he had been told that all of the people who are sent or travel there to study were somewhat unusual so he supposed that all of the people here adjusted pretty easily. Speaking of unusual people, he would probably be classified as one as well, considering how he was glowing right now.

He shrugged, accepting that the world he was in was really unusual and he probably should stop thinking about it.

That is until what looked like a blood soaked serial killer popped out from under the table, grinning playfully.

"Who here missed me~?" He/She/It/somethingorother said.

Well. Alphonse thought. Speak of the devil, and the devil he shall appear.

"I'm sure you would be one to be missed, considering the mess you're making, but I am not one who would miss you." Alphonse replied. "Perhaps we should get acquainted."
