All Afghans have come together today, drawn to each other and united by something which transcends all tribal affiliations and racial prejudices! Indeed, we stand here today, as equal as we shall stand before the Mighty on the final Day! And let us hope that on that Day we shall be as pleased as we are today. The noble game of Buzkashi, part of our Afghan culture for many centuries, tests men in every way possible. In this game we see clearly where true men with courage and faith in their hearts are, and we see true Afghans as they come together and give their all for the cause of victory. Blessed be this game and blessed be this historic occasion. With the grace and pleasure of Allah, let the games begin!
